How to be a Big Brother prepares children for new additions to the family. This is way too advanced for a younger child. It appears to be set up for the parents to read to them, but even then I’m not sure it is entertaining enough for a child. I expected a lot more pictures and a lot fewer words. The illustrations that are included do not seem designed to capture the attention of a child. I would use this more as a general guide for parents on preparing their child to be a big brother.
I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley and Callisto Media. My review is voluntary.
How to Be a Big Brother by Ashley Moulton. I can definitely relate to this book my granddaughter was born the end of April in the middle of an added fear of getting the cornovirus. This book is a wonderful book for her older brother who has autism and is 11. Would also be great to read for her 12 year old brother. I think it should be read with younger children. And would definitely recommend the book to parents.
