An extremely didactic and accessible book, it explains through historical and statistical data the foundations and crises of democracy, past and present. Essential reading for today. I highlighted several passages during the reading, but I will leave here one that caught my attention a lot "Democracy is in crisis when clenched fists, stones or bullets substitute votes."

Excelente livro que mostra o verniz frágil da democracia. O autor tem uma escrita didática e simples, apesar de tratar temas da ciência política que são complexos. Ótimo para entender o cenário atual do Brasil.
