Rating only reflects my enjoyment, not the quality of the story. It's well-written, so if you are very interested in the subject, you'll probably enjoy this very much. I read a couple chapters but it's not really my cup of tea. This is book 4 of a series chronicling Arthurian legend in great detail. The author has thoughtfully included a good synopsis of books 1-3 at the beginning to catch you up on the major events and characters (plus an outline of books yet to be written!) So if you're at all familiar with the story of Arthur, you should be able to jump right in and be fairly well orientated.
i really enjoyed reading this, it was a shame that I hadn't read the previous three books in the series. I still really enjoyed reading this and hope there is more in the series.
Interesting take on King Arthur. It shows his upbringing and what shaped him, all told with a nice style. Quite enjoyable. I missed the other books in this series, and I may have to circle back. Recommended.
Thanks very much for the review copy!!
I'm sucker to everything involving King Arthur and I'm happy I read this story as it's well written and entertaining.
I liked the world building, the characters and the plot that flows.

Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
