A very well written self discovery novel. One should never be so wrapped up in kids or a career that one loses themselves. Because when the kids grow up and leave and the career runs it’s course. What do you have left?
Heather Harrison's life had been predictable until her husband of twenty years left her for a younger woman. Younger like 30 , to her 42. A beautiful new model to replace her old self.
But the unpredictable period in her life was only starting. When her son left for college, leaving her acknowledging an empty nest, she never thought her life would change at such speed. Unexpectedly, she met someone, a young man. And fell for him against all the bells ringing inside her head.
What would be the right thing to do? What would be the safest thing to do? But most importantly, What would she like to do?
This book is a masterpiece. It's the first one I read from this author and it won't be the last.
The subject , a tricky one, is developed with such intensity but at the same time with such respect that left me in awe. I read the book in one day. I devoured it. And after reading the last paragraph, the one thought that came to my mind was, "of course" .
Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
