I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
And honestly? It was way too over the top. 10 pages in I decided to try and read it as a satire, but it just didn't work. The characters were stereotypical romance tropes, but not pulled off well. I ended up DNFing the book at 20%. The main character has good motivations, but is just so obvious. The love interest is supposed to be a rogue, but comes across as whiney and petulant. There were also WAY too many exclamation points. Every paragraph had at least one, and that's too many. The lovers' introduction was bland and unmemorable, which is not a good sign for a romance. The dialogue was cringey, over the top, and didn't even really fit. Overall, very bad, and I couldn't get through it.

This is one of those stories that is very easy to read, is light with lots of fun parts, has lovely characters who engage you and make you want to find out what they will be getting up to next.
Loved this wonderful piece of good humor and entertainment and am definitely recommending it.
