This book continues the story of the Baxter family--young Tommy this time. When his girlfriend receives some life altering news, he must rely on his faith to pull him through. He is also dealing with the trials and tribulations of being a high school senior. To say he has a lot on his plate is understating it.

I enjoyed the book. At times I felt it was a bit much on the religious front, but overall well written and easy to read. I enjoyed the characters and wanted all of the various situations in the book to work out for the best. The characters were relatable.

I recommend this book, especially if you are a fan of the author. Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Karen’s newest book in the Baxter Family series takes us on a journey of love, hope, and faith. A journey that overcomes fear. The Baxter family has had many tragedies in their lives ... BUT ... their faith remains steadfast throughout it all and through each story their faith gets stronger as they grow closer as a family. “Every season, every tragedy, God has brought them through”. They also have had many joys. Joys they share with each other. Joys that also bring them closer together. This book has a sweet love story at its core, but touches on many difficult subjects ... 9/11, cancer, fear, the danger police officers face daily and sex trafficking. Scriptures and prayers are interspersed throughout inspiring us to live a life of faith. The Baxter family remains my favorite family, a family I would love to be a part of. What I wouldn’t do to have a seat at their Thanksgiving table! ❤️

While my late mother always read the latest Danielle Steel, I’m finding myself reading the latest Karen Kingsbury. Every book has several chapters, at least, of tear jerker moments and Truly, Madly, Deeply is no different.

Truly, Madly, Deeply by Karen Kingsbury. Atria Books. Release date: 10/27/2020. ISBN: 9781982104382
The story of the Baxter’s continues in this latest novel by Karen Kingsbury. It can be read on its own so don’t worry if you haven’t read the previous books! The Baxter’s are an easy family to fall in love with!

There’s so much happening in this book. Somehow the main character Tommy Baxter has several things pulling at his heart. His girlfriend is fighting against cancer, his mother’s upset that he’s choosing to become a law enforcement officer. There are other things happening as well, but Tommy does his best to keep his faith at the forefront.

Like I mentioned earlier, this book is full of tear jerker moments. I’m a softie and will cry at the slightest things! You’ll find me with tissues throughout every Karen Kingsbury book! This particular book isn’t as emotional as her previous novel, Someone Like You, which is another book about the Baxter’s.

The main characters in this particular story are dating high schoolers. They are faced with real choices high schoolers go through and at the same time they are challenged with medical suffering not even adults want to go through. These two main characters, Annalee Miller and Tommy Baxter, take these events and situations better than any teen I know! They lean on God and the promises He gives. They even seem to teach their parents a thing or two about trusting in God!

Oh to have the kind of faith of Annalee and Tommy! While I strive to exude that kind of assurance in Him, I pray that this story touches your heart as well! I love the lessons learned in stories like this!

A digital copy of Truly, Madly, Deeply by Karen Kingsbury was provided by publisher Atria Books via NetGalley. This book publishes on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. I give this book five out of five tiaras as it taught me a lessen or two, or many, about trusting in God, the importance of memorizing scripture, and to be thankful especially when times are hard and my faith might be wavering.

Ugh Karen Kingsbury strikes again! Queue the waterworks! She knows exactly how to pull on your heartstrings! I adore her writing style and storytelling ability and this book did not let me down. You know a story is well written when you are bawling over fictional characters! 5 star read! Such a great book!!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest opinion. This is a story about young love, faith, and family. It dealt with the very real questions we ask God during difficult times in our lives and dealt in a beautiful way when we are tempted to let fear steal our joy.

I enjoyed this book. It was a beautiful story about trusting God even in the hard times. Thank you for sending me this book to review.

This is an unabashedly inspirational Christian fiction story. So if that isn't your thing, this is definitely not for you!
I enjoyed the story mostly focused around Tommy and Annalee, two high school seniors and boyfriend/girlfriend, as they struggle through some pretty tough stuff and work through how their faith plays a roll in all of it. It's hard to describe it without giving stuff away but there were some beautifully tragic and yet also genuinely hopeful moments in this book that at times brought me to tears!
Although the book is in a series, it can also be read as a stand alone book (I have not read others in the series and don't feel like I missed out).
This is set to come out 27 Oct, so you have a little bit of time to read the ones before it if you want! 🙂

Karen Kingsbury is an inspirational Christian writer and is an auto-buy author for me. I’ve loved all her work and was excited that the story of the Baxter family was continuing in this book. This book is part of a series, but can also be read as a standalone.

In this book, Karen Kingsbury touched on many hard and emotional subject matters. The book brings out all the feels when talking about first and everlasting love, the worst days of life dealing with a life-threatening illness, the struggles of parenting, the history and aftermath of 9/11 and the difficult decision of choosing a career for the first time and how that can affect the family. It’s a story about real life, joys and challenges. The challenges may seem overwhelming, but the Baxter family’s strong faith in Christ is what gets them through it and makes them stronger as a family. It was a breath of fresh air to read a faith-based story. It gives us hope in a time when many Christians may feel like they are being tested. We may have struggles and we may fail, but if we keep faith front and center, things will work out in the end. A good reminder during the difficult times of 2020.

It’s been about two weeks since I’ve read this book and it is still with me. I still think of the characters and everything they went through. I’ve had a few hard days lately, and I find myself thinking about how the characters in the book would have handled it. It has brought me much peace and renewed my faith just a little bit more.

I really liked this book and would highly recommend it to anyone that likes inspirational books.

I received an ARC copy if this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I so enjoyed this book. The thing that I love most about Karen's books is that the story is about Christians who have problems and obstacles in their life too. The difference is that we turn to God. So many Christian authors write books that everything is just perfect. Karen does such a wonderful job showing life is just not like that for anyone. I also so enjoy reading about the Baxters. I feel like each book could be a stand alone and it can be followed easily. I so enjoyed the part about 911 tragedy. It really made me think about things that I never thought of before such as how many firefighters died months or a year later from the damage from the smoke.

Its been a really long time since I've read this author and I forgot how much I enjoy her stories. I vaguely remember the Baxter family from growing up. She says in the author notes that you don't have to read the stories leading up to this book, which you don't have to, but I feel like I'd be more in sync had I read them all - and there are a lot. Tommy and Annalee are two teenagers who are in love for the first time. They navigate life the best direction they can. When they are hit with a major life changing event, it brings their faith to light even more and shows that prayer does go a long way. This book blends romance and family drama, ultimately showing us that the only way to dream is truly, madly & deeply. Thank you to netgalley for the advance copy.

I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. This book was just amazing. I just lost myself in this story and didn’t want it to end. This is only the second book I have read from this author and it will definitely not be the last. I liked that it dealt with so many different things in the book. You have a son that feels he is being called to be a police officer that has the love of his life that has been diagnosed with cancer. Life is hinged on decisions in this book, yet there is also reason to celebrate. I like that this author can take hard subject matter and really get close to the issues while instilling faith. Thanks for the ARC, NetGalley.

This book is full of emotions! The author brings the book to life with her words. You can feel all the emotions, you will laugh, cry and feel every emotion in between. Grab a box of tissue and get ready for a inspirational read. I highly recommend this book. Thank you Atria Books via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Reading Karen Kingsbury's new book, Truly Madly Deeply, just around the 19th anniversary of 9/11, quickly transported me back to that shocking, unforgettable day. I was astounded by many details that her book addressed, including the life-threatening side effects that profoundly influence the lives of the first responders at Ground zero that day and the continue to do so. So many of these men and women have died because of inhaling the toxic fumes. Serious mental difficulties also plague them.
I appreciate all the historical detail Karen layered through this Baxter family story and how she knit together the intricate storylines of this imperfect Christian family. Drama, romance, and a foundation of faith in Christ that, even when tested, demonstrates how the Lord never fails those who follow him are the backbone of this lovely novel.

My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC for this my honest review.

Truly, Madly, Deeply is the latest book in the Baxter Family Series. It can be read as a standalone but is richer if you have read Karen's other books about the Baxter family. What I loved most about this book is the realness. Karen writes inspirational fiction and sometimes that can be too syrupy sweet with no basis in reality. Karen 's characters show that vulnerability, faith and strength can go hand in hand. This book covers 9\11, cancer and the difficult realities of being a police officer in today's climate all in a way that makes you want to laugh, cry and hug your loved ones. If you like the Baxter family series in, this is a can't miss!

Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to review this book for my honest opinion.

What a deeply emotional book by Karen Kingsbury! An amazing follow up to "Someone Like You"! I loved every aspect of this book! It was great to see the characters struggling with what they believe. I think that other believers need to see that. We don't always just move forward in faith. Sometimes we take a few steps backward. Great read! Thank you!

I just love Karen Kingsbury’s Baxter family! I’m always disappointed when I finish one of her books. It seems like I should just be able to hop on a plane to Indianapolis and spend a week with my Baxter friends. Then I remember that it’s a fiction book. Keep them coming, Ms. Kingsbury!

I received an advanced readers copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I love contemporary Christian romance novels. I was eager to read Truly, Madly, Deeply as it had been awhile since I read a Karen Kingsbury book. I have read at least 30 of her books, including the entire original Baxter family series. Truly, Madly, Deeply continues to follow the Baxter family- this time as Tommy Baxter explores his future, both professionally and in love.

Something seemed off in this book. It’s an odd title about an 18-year-old male. We are told of their love more than shown it. Probably because it’s about an 18-year-old with a really deep title. Some things were overly dramatic while other things missed the mark. Testing for stage 4 cancer doesn’t conclude with the doctor calling a patient’s house with the results. They have you come in regardless of the results so they can go over everything and make sure you’re stable with the news you may receive.

The emotions in this book were very dramatic. They made the book so predictable that it was cringe-worthy. “Tommy deserves to know” when talking about extra details Reagan learned about the day her father died on 9/11. A bit of a stretch. “I’d like for him to know” would have been believable, not he “deserves to know.”

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
