If you have followed the Baxter family through the years you are sure to love this newest story from Karen Kingsbury. The story while thoroughly enjoyable tackles some difficult contemporary issues from the perspective of Christian characters who (like the rest of us) sometimes struggle to walk in trust and faith. I really like the way she highlights respect for the police along with the struggle their families face daily. I really enjoyed reading this story of hope and love. Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC for honest review.

Another winner from Karen Kingsbury! I have read all of her books and they all leave me with the warm feeling from beginning to the end. Tommy Baxter thinks he has his whole life figured out but does he? Things don't always go the way we want and he learns that in this installment of the Baxter Family series!

Truly, Madly, Deeply Book review is full of love, heartache, and the importance of keeping God first. It combines family and parenting firsthand as the parents have to allow God to lead their son where he feels God is calling him, even if they have safety concerns about the police force as a job. One part of the story includes teen love and a girl in the fight of her life against a six letter illness.
I highly recommend for anyone. Karen Kingsbury’s book dig deep into what is important in life as well as following God’s plan. She reminds the reader that you must love with passion, trust in God, and always follow His plan.

Oh. My. Goodness!! Just when I think that Karen Kingsbury can't get any better another book releases and she blows me away, in a good way! There are elements of the book that were especially meaningful to me at this time. I appreciated the "flash back" to 9/11 as well as "sneak peek" at what happened after "Someone Like You.

Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC of this book. The opinions expressed are my own genuine feelings.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. I have been a fan of Karen Kingsbury's books for a long time. Tommy a basketball star in high-school knew what he wanted to do with his life was to help people. To do that he decided that he wanted to be a police officer against his mothers wishes. This book was both well written and inspiring. I cant wait to read her next book.

I loved this book! There have never been any other authors where I have enjoyed every single book they wrote, except for Karen Kingsbury. I have loved every book I have read by her! This book was no exception. She knows how to hit you in the feelings. She knows how to connect you to the characters where you feel invested in their lives and feel like you are there with them. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the Baxter family she has created. You won't be disappointed! Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers and Karen Kingsbury for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Once again we get to know the Baxter family. This story centers on Regan's son Tommy and his girlfriend Annalee. as the young couple is finishing their senior year and planning for the future, Tommy finds that his calling is police work, much to the dismay of his mother. The book focuses on family, soul mates, finding one's calling and of course faith. A well told story that tugged at my heartstrings, both as a mom and as the wife of a police officer. I could definitely relate to Regan's struggles and worry. I recommend this engaging tale to fans of Christian romance and anyone who appreciates a story of motherhood or young romance.

Karen Kingsbury does it again - writing a story that is not only contemporary but also timeless in it's theme and message. There are several "threads" that run through this story but all are intertwined with our favorite family, the Baxters. Be prepared to get emotional when you read this! Everyone can relate to some part of it - whether remembering 9/11, how we respond/appreciate first responders, having a family member facing a health crisis, or even first love. There is something for everyone and everyone needs to read this book, especially during this time in our history. We all need more positive messages in our life! I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher but all opinions are my own.

#Truly, Madly,Deeply# by Karen Kingsbury is a Christian Fiction book. Karen Kingsbury is a best selling author. Her Baxter series books are going to be made into a TV show. She teaches writing at Liberty University. She and her husband adopted 3 boys from Haiti in 2001. #Truly, Madly,Deeply# is in the Baxter family series. Tommy is part of the Baxter family. Tommy heard about his grandfather who died on the .2011 bombings. He never met him but knew he sacrificed his life for others. Tommy decided He wanted to be a policeman and sacrifice his life for others. He went on drive by car trips with other cops to experience the job. He developed a real strong desire to help make a difference in the world. The characters are well described. The struggles and trials the characters experience are very real in our world. The author has a beautiful way of bringing scripture into the trials the characters face. The story is moving and hard to put down. Thank you to the publisher , author, netgalley for allowing me to read and review this wonderful book. It is well written. i will share my review with goodreads, bookbub, Barnes and Noble, CBD.com, facebook, my blog, books a million.

Truly, Madly, Deeply is another novel of the Baxter Family by Karen Kingsbury. As with all Karen’s books, we follow the ups and downs and how through our faith we will find our happiness. This book is very religious so be warned. Maybe at times a bit too preachy for some.
I think you could read this as a stand-alone but I wouldn’t recommend that. It’s best, in my opinion, to start at the beginning of the series.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. Another book in the Baxter family series, this time about Tommy and his high school sweetheart Annalee. Kingsbury’s writing is like a dream. You crawl into each story. Even if you haven’t read the books before, she fills in the back story in every book. Read it! #trulymadlydeeply #karenkingsbury #oct2020

This is my first Karen Kingsbury novel so therefore my first introduction to the Baxter family series. Truly, Madly, Deeply was a sweet story. Karen is definitely a great storyteller. This novel focuses on high school student Tommy Baxter & his relationship with his girlfriend and the earth shattering news they receive. We also get POV from Tommy’s mom Raegan who worries about him constantly bc he choose to be police officer. While this story was really heartwarming, I wish there was a bit more drama. It was almost too sweet even though there were some obstacles in the story. The spiritual thread was woven nice but might come off too preachy to some readers. Anyways, I liked this story.

Karen Kingsbury is one of my most favorite authors! She does a beautiful job of giving the characters a lot of depth, and telling a story so deeply that you totally feel like you are within the pages. However, this was not one of my most favorite books of her collection. As much as I love her writing, and can not say anything against her style or ability as a magnificent author, I just struggled with the storyline this time around. It was deep, and very hard to digest at times. This book was about all of the most painful parts of life (illness, sex trafficking of very young girls, horrific crime, etc). Lately, I've been seeking stories that are more imaginative and less like the reality of life around us. Generally, I've been seeking methods of escape from real life. Ms. Kingsbury, as always, does a wonderful job of realism in her writing. I can't fault her one single bit (or even one single star) for this review. She brought light to some very real challenges we face in this world (a darkness all around us that many seek to ignore). It had a beautiful ending, but was very hard for me to get to that point.

I will definitely seek more books by this author. This may not have been the style I was seeking this time around, but Ms. Kingsbury definitely has a very beautiful gift of writing what's in her heart...whether it is pure imagination, or true to life challenges we face in this life. I believe God uses her to reach out with some very important truths. I will never challenge this, or say she shouldn't write on such topics. I just personally had a very hard time this time around, simply because I am fully aware of these truths and they were tough to think about and face at this stage of my life.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Atria Books through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I have been a fan of Karen Kingsburg's books since the Baxter series began. I was thrilled to be able to read her latest, Truly, Madly, Deeply early before the publication date. The Baxter children are now grown and entering adulthood. This book's main Baxter is Tom and is now in high school Tommy has tough decisions to make and some are not too happy with his mom, Regan. He also has to deal with his faith in God to understand why people he loves have to suffer. I recommend having a box of tissues nearby when you share the Baxter'hardships.

The Baxter Family #6

Love this family. I feel like I am a part of it, so when she is receiving cancer diagnosis, I am remembering when I received my diagnosis... the testing procedures ... waiting for the results, listening for the phone to ring from the doc. I was there with them.
I enjoyed remembering and honoring the 9/11 victims, and visiting Ground Zero.

God is always listening!

Catch up with the Baxter Family!
They are her family, my family, and your family.
Looking forward to next book.

Karen Kingsbury never disappoints and the Baxter's story has been the series I have ever read. I highly recommend to anyone. Tommy and Annalee is everything you want a relationship to be for your own kids. How you treat your loved one helps make your relationship grow but also prayer (even most together). Thank you NetGalley for the advance read.

This book was very enjoyable, Tommy Baxter is all grown up and has fallen in love.

With any book by Karen, there is sadness, Jesus, happiness, history, and a little bit of the other Baxters. Great read.

Thank you netgalley and Atria books for access to this arc of Karen Kingsbury's new book! However, I didn't make it far before the thought of reading any further was unpleasant. DNF.

I've read a good handful of popular Christian women's fiction from authors like Jan Karon, Janette Oke, Francine Rivers, but this was my first by Karen Kingsbury. I love the idea of a Christian family drama, but I found the writing, dialogue, relationships, and action in this story far too cheesy to bear with.

The book opens with a family and the daughter's boyfriend on a missions trip. It becomes quickly apparent that the two high school seniors have embarked on a very dangerous missions trip to rescue sex slaves but had no training in the destination culture or in what sex trafficking is or how to handle it. What?? I pray, I pray so sincerely, this is a complete fabrication on the author's part rather than her real life experience for missions trips.

I found the dialogue and inner dialogue very unrealistic and cheesy. It was awkward to read. I would still give the author another chance for some of her previously published books with high reviews, but I couldn't recommend this one.
