It’s been five years since eleven year old friends Ana and Lucia disappeared from their village in the Pyrenees. When Ana is found wounded in a car crash, police and families want to know what happened to the girls. And where is Lucia? Inspector Sara Campos and her boss are dispatched from Madrid to unlock the secrets of the case. The initial investigation five years earlier was botched and Sara is determined that this time, there will be no escapes. But the village inhabitants have other ideas….

The premise seemed interesting but the story got weighed down by too many other details and information. I found myself skimming large parts about the town, the mountains, etc. and about halfway through I didn't even care who the kidnapper was, I just wanted it to get to the end. I think it could have benefited from some serious editing.
