Very beautiful artwork I loved the pictures.
The book contains all templates and two styles of letters and numbers that can be used in the projects. However, the book contains no instruction or hand holding at all. So this definitely isn'tfir beginners. The author recommends Stained Glass Craft Made Simple by James McDonell for beginners who need or want more in-depth information in stained glass craft. This is both very helpful as a place to turn for answers but a letdown in the aspect that with a bit more work this book coukd be the whole enchilada.
The projects are appealingly modern in style and sadly almost all of the projects are fairly advanced.
Tools, supplies, and materials lists are left up to the crafter and there are is no includef materials lists in the text. In fact, there's very little text of any sort.
Hands down absolutely beautiful patterns for the advanced glass crafter. And I woukd highly recommend it fir anyone well aquanted with the craft.
Dover consistently produces high quality crafting books and this one is no exception. And in that respect it dies not disappoint. Just fir the art alone it's a beautiful read.
I have been wanting to take a class to learn stained glass. The designs in the book are very nice. What I would like to have seen was recommended colors for each design. Some of us are artistically challenged and need assistance in color selection.
Love the ideas in this book. If you are stuck for inspiration then thus book is a great starting point. Love the clear templates.
Sayings & Expressions: Stained Glass Patterns is a collection of stained glass projects by Anna Croyle. Due out 15th July 2020 from Dover, it's 64 pages and will be available in paperback format.

The projects are appealingly modern in style and most are fairly advanced (a few include inset curved pieces and numerous very precise pieced areas. Tools, supplies, and materials lists are left up to the crafter and there are no materials listed in the text. In fact, there's very little text of any sort.
Lovely patterns for the advanced glass crafter. Four stars. Dover seems to always provide consistently high quality crafting books and this one is no exception.
Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.
