#Open the Bible in 30 days# by Colin Smith is a good Christian living book. Colin is a Senior pastor at the Orchard in Northwest Chicago. This church's goal is to equip believers to run and expand the gospel. This book gives a good over view of the Bible. It is easy to read and a helpful resource for the Christian. or a pastor. The book is broken up into ten keys and several topics. I was given this book to read and review by the author, netgalley and the publisher. The opinions are my own. Thank you for allowing me to read and review this book. I will share my reviews with Amazon, my blog, Bookbub, CBD. facebook and the church staff.

Every so often in my faith walk, I come across a book which I know will be used as reference time and time again. This book is the latest I'm adding to that reference list. Packed with insight, never did I set the book down disappointed or with a question left unanswered.

If you're new to the Bible or if you've ever struggled to make sense of the Bible and really grasp the story, you'll find a great resource in Colin S. Smith's Open the Bible in 30 Days. In it, Smith helps readers, in a relatively short time period, grasp the full story of the Bible so they see the big picture. Basically, Smith breaks up the Bible into three main parts--Knowing God the Father, Trusting Christ the Son, and Living in the Spirit. I appreciate how Smith shows off the beauty of the Trinity by showing God is one, but that each person of the Trinity plays a specific and unique role in Gospel history.

Smith helps readers see the biblical narrative as a series of peaks and valleys. Comparing and contrasting these peaks and valleys, Smith helps readers understand how God has worked through human history to bring redemption and restoration. The chapters are short, easy-to-read, and full of life-changing hope and principles for every day life.

Readers will also find a study guide at the back of the book to help them process the book with a small group.
Additionally, readers will find online resources to supplement Smith's Open the Bible in 30 Days at openthebible.org.

Whether you're new to the Bible or you're just looking for freshness in your Bible reading, you'll find a great resources in Open the Bible in 30 Days. You'll undoubtedly better grasp the big story of the Bible so you can make better sense of each part and how it fits with the whole. You'll gain a whole new appreciation for our God and how He has carefully and lovingly revealed Himself to man and how He draws us to Himself so we can experience renewed fellowship with Him through Jesus Christ and live life in the Spirit.
