As a mom of 3 this book is both relatable and entertaining.

Cute and simple cartoons showing the funny and relatable ramblings from one mom to all of us!

‘100 Ways Your Two-Year-Old Can Hurt You’ by Chen Weng is a collection of strips that any parent of a toddler can relate to.

This book shows the many ways that a child can transform your life. It also shows the many ways that a child can be a deadly weapon, whether they mean to be or not.

These comics are pretty funny and pretty relatable. This book would be a great gift book for a new parent to warn them of what they’re in the store for. The art is pretty funny too.

*received for free from netgalley for honest review* Hilarious! Not something i would buy for myself after reading it (not bc it wasn't good but bc i wouldn't reread it and dont want any children getting an ideas lmao) but would totally buy this as a gift :)

Loved this book! The author does a great job of really encapsulating life with a 2yo in a humorous and relatable way. Her illustrations are spot on and brought a smile to my face.

Thank you netgally for letting me review this book.

This is eventually a shocking read for me. I didn't thought I would enjoy it (half of it). It was a fun read at I find some of it relatable especially with kids (there are times that I was tasked to watch the kids as I'm the oldest) and it did made me laugh (some of it).

However I thought most of it were inconsistent, I find it unorganized way of storytelling. Like it felt like there's something missing and some parts were left out. I also find some of it cringe and too much like it could have been better if they did stick to a more realistic.

Again, thank you netgally for giving me a copy.

So humorous and cute! Parents will definitely get some laughs out of these cute and clever comics. A great way to draw 30/40 somethings into comics and graphic novels.

Oh my gosh this comic collection is hilarious. I don't have any children myself (except of the furry variety) but have done enough babysitting in my time to appreciate the humour. The jokes are clever, the illustrations are adorable and it's a quick read. Like many comic collections I was able to devour it in one sitting, one night before bed.

I'm a huge fan of comics that capture the truths of daily life. Parenting is not easy, no matter what movies or Instagram influencers would like you to believe. I've watched friends have similar experiences with their toddlers and have babysat some challenging kids that show this comic speaks so many truths. The honesty in this comic is what I love the most. Nothing is sugar coated, but you can tell the author loves her kids and being a parent - even though some days are better than others.

A bunch of observations made about one's life before and after children. I didn't really find any of them funny because anyone that has children in their life has made the same observations. At best, I can give an "Amen, sister!" while reading this.

This is an absolutely hilarious collection of little comics all about parenting.

I was giggling and teeheeing along the way, because this book is ridiculously honest. But it also puts it in such a fun light with the goofy cartoony comics and bright colours.

This is a quite and super fun read. I highly recommend it if you want some real giggles.

Four out of five stars.

First, it's not a children's book.
Second, do not take the title too seriously.
Third, the title makes sense only towards the second half.

I was like "what?! It ended?!" after reading 146 pages of this crazy real comic collection!
I was like "you just cannot end it like that!".

This is a comic collection about the author's day-to-day life regarding her life with her kids and her husband.

I can totally understand if this collection offends others but I feel the author/artist has done well in bringing out this collection which I find honest and straightforward.

I am a second child and I can see/understand what the author is trying to tell.

Yes, some parts do seem overdone and exaggerated but please, it's not meant to be taken seriously.

I had a great time reading this!

I wish there were more and I don't think the title does justice to the book.

The cover could have been better on my opinion.

Thank you NetGalley for this copy.

It's basically the inside life of a mom with 2 kids. It's so funny and adorable. The artwork is adorable and lovely. Each panel is funny in its own way. I sometimes couldn't even contain myself from the laughter. Therefore, unless you want to wake up your entire family, I don't recommend reading this at night (by that I mean 2 am like me). I did that to have a relaxed mind. I had a relaxed mind afterwards but I woke up my neighbors too. Whoops. Nonetheless, it's an amazing comics to read and very relatable.

The truth is I love little children, even though I don’t have kids; so I thought this book would be funny. I never had heard or read the author, and I thought this was a good way to get to know her work.

Now, I have to say that the art is cute. But the panels were not funny to me. It was obvious that because I don’t have kids I was not going to feel a deep connection with the story, but I thought that at least it would make me smile a couple of times and that didn’t happen at all.

It's cute and everything, but I expected more.

This is a fun, quick read full of parenting humor. None of the jokes are particularly original, but I enjoyed the frenetic illustrations, the humor about parenting interactions and a mother's internal life, and the comic series about how small children can physically injure their parents in a variety of ways. That was one of the more unique elements of the book, whereas the other humor was similar to what I would expect from any other comic collection, book, essay, or blog post about parenting.

Fans of the author's web comic will enjoy this, but overall, I would recommend this as a library purchase, since it is unlikely to have a high audience retention rate or seem worth the money for one reader, but can still be fun for a variety of people. Other than that, I would recommend this comic collection to people who are completely new to parenting humor and need a funny book to page through during their occasional escapes to barricade themselves in the bathroom.

This felt like yet another book about a parent who secretly resents their kids, and a lazy husband who does no work around the house. Perhaps someone with a different sense of humour would enjoy it, but my lasting impression was that I'm glad I don't have kids or a husband.

100 WAYS YOUR TWO-YEAR-OLD CAN HURT YOU
By Chen Weng

Description
In what ways is a toddler like a deadly weapon? What would it look like if your 2-year-old was an office worker? And how does being a parent completely transform one's sense of fashion? These questions and many more are the focus of the hilarious and relatable comics by Weng Chen, a thirtysomething Chinese-American cartoonist who details the realities of raising small children, growing older, and how technology and mass culture shape today's parenting experiences.

THOUGHTS

I enjoyed looking through the comic strips! They were fun and relatable being a parent of a 2-year-old right now. I didn't think there was much substance to the comics and there wasn't any that made me feel different or grow as a parent but I got some chuckles and that is always good. I don't feel like this should have a full breakdown of rating like I normally do so I will just give it a "fun" / enjoyment rating!

3 Star Rating it was fun and quick!

Funny and true-to-life, if a bit heavy on the gender stereotypes on occasion. Moms especially will identify with a lot of the mixed emotions on display.
