I loved it all, the drawings are simple with stories of everyday life, of what it was like before having a child and after.
Fun, super fast to read (read in a few hours), the drawings are super expressive, and even though I don't have a child I identified myself in several contexts.
I definitely recommend this book, it won me over in a unique way.
Funny, relatable comics based on the life of the artist as she juggles family life with her work. I enjoyed this one.
this is a funny book consisting of comics about Parenthood I love the art style and I love the way that it makes Parenthood look just like it really is lol.
100 Ways Your Two-Year-Old Can Hurt You by Chen Weng is a funny and truly relatable set of comics about family life and having children.
Thank you to the author and the publisher for giving me a free copy in exchange for an honest review!
I absolutely adored this book! It's full of comic's about what's it like being a mom and having kids. I can't really relate to the story, because I don't have kids, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. It was a very quick read and it made me LOL a few times. Can't wait for the time I have kids of my own!
Loved this book so much. I have two small children of my own so I laughed and related to it all. Thank you for making me feel not so alone.
This collection of comics caused me to let out plenty of chuckles, it was a fun time to see Chen Weng share little moments of raising two daughters.
Relatable and funny with really cute art! I'd give this a higher rating, but I'm so sick of the "useless husband" narrative that's mentioned a few times on here. Otherwise, it was a fun read that had me snorting with laughter at points!
Super cute and relatable. I laughed and cried. I need to get this to all my friends with two-year-olds.
I found this to be extremely funny. I have two kids of my own, one being a two-year-old and most of what's in here is on point. It's incredibly relatable and I laughed my head off reading this.
I really enjoyed this book - laughed out loud on several occasions and even without kids of my own (although I do have a LOT of nieces and nephews) I found it extremely relatable.
I'm already considering which of my mum-friends to purchase this for, once it becomes available :-D
This could be a fun refreshment to readers, especially new parents. Although I am not a parent or even married, I still had fun reading this comic.
We follow around a regular day in a life of a parent.
Some comics are a bit longer than others (most are only a page long).
The artwork is super adorable and I might actually even try out more from this author. A quick, fun little read.
I'm a big fan of Messycow comics, the drawing style, the humor, and parenting references. Weng is able to perfectly illustrate the amusing contradictions of parenthood in a bite-sized manner. As the parent of a toddler, I can relate to many of the antics that raising a young child brings about. This was thoroughly enjoyable, and I look forward to more!
If you are a parent (with kid of any age), you can relate. Not every situation have you experienced, but you know the drill. So what is inside this slim volume? Plenty of laughs, plenty of I know that, plenty of fun, and a good time to be had. This is the time of book that is hard to pace your reading, because, you say just 5 pages and then realize that you have finished the book. So do enjoy and take the time to reread all the ways your kids could maim you!
Hilarious and very relatable! I am a parent to a very lively toddler, so I really could recognise most situations. The funny thing is nobody tells you these things before you have children, it is like Chen Weng is letting you in a secret club. Easy to follow, perhaps a bit repetitive (exactly like my life which seems to be full of routines, routines, routines), but still enjoyable.

I enjoyed this one quite a bit. I think if I actually had a kid myself I would relate to this more since it's literally about the perks and you could say the ways of how your kids can hurt you. This comic shows tons and tons of different scenarios when it comes to being a parent and I do understand some of them just because of the stories I heard. However this is definitely not for everyone to enjoy.
I would re-read this once when I have a kid and maybe I will like it more then, however for now I couldn't laugh as much as this book was intending me to.
I did really enjoy it though. I thought the art made the jokes very funny and especially due to the facial expressions it became a very easy and fun read.
Thank you for this!
Humor, as I always say, is subjective. And this is not saying that this humor in these cartoons is not funny, it is, because it is true, but others have said it before, and before, and again, and again.
Look, any mother, any mother knows that you dote over your first kid, and you let the second kid go free range. That is not new. Any mother, of more than one kid, also knows how they interact, and what they get up to. It is all parental humor that others have done before. There is nothing wrong with it, but this is not new stuff.
It is more of a nodding, and saying, yes, that has happened to me, rather than laughing at it.
And when she does do original humor, it isn't all that funny, such as what her two-year-old would be like if she worked in an office.
But, as I said, above, humor is subjective, and so your milage may vary.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.
Funny comics. A bit repetitive with certain gags but kept me turning the pages for sure. Wish it was longer.
5 Stars (I received an e-arc from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review)
I don't have kids but this was a hilarious little graphic novel with cute illustrations. I'm sure that anyone who has ever had kids and people who have had to deal with kids as part of their career can relate. There are definitely some situations that reminded of my babysitting experience or have heard from friends and my sister being a teacher of younger grades.
With thanks to NetGalley for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As a mother of two, I could related to most of the jokes in this book. Some of the situations were very realistic and I actually laughed out loud. I just wish that the illustrations were better. They were too stark and simple.
It is a good one-time read for parents. I don't know if I'd buy this book because there are better graphic comics out there, both in terms of content and illustrations and with far more pages.
