Fangs is the modern love story between a vampire and a werewolf. This cute comic follows the love story of Elsie and Jimmy, two monsters living life in the modern world. Their differences may seem large - especially when Elsie wants a bite of Jimmy or when all Jimmy wants is a walk, sans leash. But these two make it work! This adorably creepy comic is the perfect Halloween love story. Readers will be rooting for Elsie and Jimmy while also stocking up on holy water and silver.

This is such a cute book. I never thought I'll enjoy a love story between a vampire and a werewolf this much. The story is quirky and funny and sweet, all at the same time. Sarah Anderson fans would already know her sense of humour and she doesn't let them down with this book. Totally recommended.

Title - Fangs

Author - Sarah Andersen

Genre - Comic

Publishing Date - 1st September 2020

I have been provided a e-copy of this book by Publishers on Net Galley in exchange of honest review

I have been a fan of Sarah Andersen since the times I used to read her comic strips on Facebook. Her Sarah's Scribbles were so relatable at times since it used to talk about Anxiety, Introversion and looking at things in life which were so close to me. So, when I realised her new comic is out soon, I decided to get one for myself and enjoy the laughs that Sarah would throw at me.

Elsie is a Vampire who meets Jimmy, a werewolf one day at a bar and they decide to date each other. We see Elsie having interesting traits about Vampires like her aversion to garlic and sunlight and a love for blood and Jimmy is the sly and funny werewolf who loves Elsie and being a dog. Will their match sustain or will fall apart like a glass is what is shown in this comic.

The comic is full of little quirks thrown here and there. If one could explore the strips a bit in detail, everything that has always been known about the vampires and werewolves are shown in these strips. It promises you to bring you that smile that Sarah's comics are known for and will stay close to you if you are ever anxious and need something to rely upon. Pick it up if you love Sarah's comics or maybe even if you haven't read her works, still pick it up,

I absolutely adore Sarah Andersen. I think she is one of the funniest comics that I have ever read, but I have to admit that when I saw she had a comic collection about a vampire, I was worried. However, I definitely shouldn't have been.
With her trademark humor, she creates an amazing relationship between a female vampire and male werewolf. In equal parts of sweet, funny, and creepy, their relationship thrives despite the differences between them.

A short and sweet collection of vignettes—originally released as a webcomic—about the cute burgeoning romance between a shaggy, earthy werewolf and a sardonic, goth vampire. I've always loved Sarah Andersen and her autobiographical Sarah's Scribbles series, and this has a lot of the same love of silly puns and an appreciation for the ordinary moments in life, even between monsters. Artistically, the character style is different from her other work, though it retains the same clean, black-and-white simplicity that is her trademark. A quick, heartwarming read.

*-Jimmy.. I love you forever. And me.. I know 'forever'.*

This was such a cute read. Seeing how a vampire and a warewolf dating in thóday's world would look like. Adorable and fun to read! Not a story though, more of a collection of their life together in snippets which I did not expect but enjoyed anyway!
Thank you Netgalley for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

🌟5 'I want your blood' stars🌟

Love this book! Its the best graphic novel I've read lately! it was also my first book by Sarah Anderson and I honestly can't wait to read more books by her!

This book was hilarious! In this book we are introduced to Elsie and Jimmy. Elsie is a vampire and Jimmy is a werewolf. This book was fast paced and the author jumps right into it. I loved this book especially with its hilarious, dark humour.

I would so recommend this book and trust me, you won't regret it!

Happy Reading! x

This was super adorable. I love the idea of a vampire and a werewolf, makes me think of reading twilight and wanting her to choose the werewolf. Great illustration and storyline. I love the simplicity of the drawings and different scenes. I laughed, I giggled, I related to it and it was heartwarming. Great short read. I can’t wait to see more.

Thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel for an advanced look at this incredibly cute love story in exchange for honest feedback.

I've been familiar with Sarah Andersen's work through Sarah's Scribbles, but I had no idea about this adorable story! A love story between an ageless vampire and a werewolf who doesn't trust the local cats, "Fangs" was a quick read that brought me a ton of smiles. I only wish there was more!

This was such a super cute, quick read!! Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me read an ARC of this graphic novel! I am a long time fan of the author's Sarah's Scribbles on WEBTOON, so when I saw this graphic novel about romance between a vampire and a werewolf I had to give it a shot. I was not disappointed. The comics are humorous, cute, sweet and everything in between. I highly recommend this for anyone that is a fan of the author, or supernatural love.

A hackneyed story of a vampire and werewolf falling in love. Andersen makes jokes of the guy acting like a dog (because he's a werewolf, get it?) while the vampire girl makes jokes about her exes sucking. If monster themed dad jokes are your thing, you'll probably love this book. Otherwise, mileage may vary.

I thought that this book was extremely cute. The characters worked well together and the art style was amazing! However, I wasn't a big fan of the fact that there was no real story or plot. The book is a collection of random moments rather than a linear storyline. I also thought that some of these snippets into the character's lives were very clichè (not all of them).

Elsie and Jimmy are so cute and adorable!

Honestly, I'm a little disappointed because I was expecting a graphic novel with a full story and not a series of short episodes. But, I liked it a lot! I really loved Sarah Andersen's drawing style and her sense of humor.

I've been a fan of Sarah's Scribbles for quite some time, so you can imagine my excitement on discovering her newest webcomic about the relationship between a 300-year-old vampire and a werewolf, which is right in my wheelhouse. Andersen's drawing aesthetic never misses, conveying a style that is simultaneously cute and edgy. And despite being about about two ferocious monsters, Fangs is incredibly sweet, charming, and thoroughly relatable (I can't wait to use, "Today I feel.....dramatic" on a regular basis). Adulthood may be a myth, but this love most definitely is not.

This is a graphic novel about a romance between Elsie (300 year old vampire) and Jimmy (werewolf). While it tells a story of their love for each other, each page is basically a little vignette expressing their love of making a pun about their unique personalities. This was just such fun to read. I am so glad I took the chance and downloaded this on Netgalley! I give this a very solid 4 star rating. Heck, I am going to give this 5 stars for the giggles

If you’re familiar with Sarah Scribbles at all, then you know going in this is going to be adorable and witty, a winning combination. If you’re not familiar with Andersen’s work, well you’re in for a treat.

This is my 4th Andersen book (I’ve read her other comic collections and LOVED them), and I’m ready to just stay on this train as long as I can ride it. Fangs tells the love story of a vampire and a werewolf. They have all the regular ups and downs of early dating, commitment, living together, etc, but with added quirks like a full moon and needing blood to sustain one’s life. You know, normal relationship things.

The linework is super cute and consistent, and I loved how much Andersen is able to develop these characters in such short bursts. Puns go a LONG way in getting the point across, and I love the short, witty banter between the characters. By the end, I had come to love them so much and had several “relationship goals” moments throughout their development.

Fang’s is out September 1, so if you need a few minutes of delightful, seasonal comics, pick it up. I tore through it in about half an hour but would love to revisit it when I’m in the festive Halloween spirit.

A very cute collection of stories from a life of a vampire and a werewolf. It was warm and adorable, very relaxing to read. I enjoyed the art a lot as well.

I downloaded Sarah Andersen’s Fangs from NetGalley. I had zero expectations. It was a very enjoyable read, I giggled over almost every panel.

However, Fangs can’t be categorised as a graphic novel sincere there is no clear narrative -fragmented or linear- nor character development. But the book description doesn’t claim the opposite anyway, it says readers can find 25 exclusive comics not previously seen online. So, if you are interested in reading a novel about the romantic relationship between a vampire and a werewolf, you are going to be disappointed because Fangs doesn’t claim to have a coherent narrative. Instead, every page sets in a different day, and each comic strip reveals different stage of their relationship. There is no character development, just humorous comic strips on the theme of love, dating, down sides of being "inhuman".

The book is really quirky and humorous, if you don’t expect to read a literary masterpiece. The art style is very web cartoonish, jokes are simple, so it is a very enjoyable and light read if you are looking for reading something light hearted.

Fangs is a series of snapshots showcasing a relationship between a vampire and a werewolf in the quintessental Sarah Andersen way: short, punchy, and bound to make you giggle.
If this is not the year for the vampires and werewolves to make a comeback, what with Midnight Sun hitting the shelves and everything, I don't know which is - aside from the early 2000s, of course. This was a very quick but ultimately entertaining read. I just curled up on the couch for an hour or so and giggled on the hilarious zingers. I love Sarah Andersen's humour and her lineart, I think she's very good at snappy short pieces. Because of that, I think it makes more sense to treat this as a collection of said short strips rather than a book and expect a storyline from it. There isn't one - it's very much a slice of life series of snapshots. Only, the lives are that of monsters. No sparkling here, folks, instead we get caskets, garlic, extreme sun sensitivity - as in, the burning kind - and chasing after squirrels in parks because the wolfy insticts kick in. It was cute, fun, and very wholesome. It was about acceptance, about taking the other person's quirks into stride and just rolling with it.
Did I wish it dug a little deeper? Yes. But I still enjoyed it for what it was and can totally recommend for a quick, fun little read.

Super damn cute--a vampire girl and a wolf boy fall in love, and we get the best snippets of their love story which make it relatable and beautiful. It doesn't have an actual like plot, but just like Sarah Scribbles' art shorts it really doesn't need it.

I love how the characters just accepted each other's differences, set their boundaries, and just shared their lives with each other. The art style is classic Scribbles; I loved the vampire girl and her dramatic dresses. I don't know where I fall with the "dog"/"werewolves" comparisons, cause it felt too easy and kind of demeaning to werewolves everywhere! (I know they aren't real... sort of). Some of the jokes were a little on the nose, but I still enjoyed the heck out of FANGS.

PS; Thinking about it, the werewolf could be OZ and the vampire could be Willow undead, only way nicer.
