I really liked the idea: a vampire and a werewolf being in love. It was original and broke the stereotype of these two creatures being mortal enemies. This time, they are together, and there is no tragedy surrounding them. It's simple and funny, light and fluffy, bloody and horrific.
I loved how the great vampire and werewolf tropes were used in this book: it might be deemed traditional, but I loved that it stuck to the original creatures. I particularly like when Jimmy and Elsie are reading vampire books and Elsie is being dramatic about one of them! I also loved the fact that she was three hundreds and was quite extravagant!
I love the way Sarah Andersen decided to draw her characters; it was a different style from her first series, Sarah's Scribbles, the first book being Adulthood Is a Myth . I loved Elsie's style!
The only drawback maybe: the length. I would have loved it to be a little longer, to get more of their relationship! Still it was a good read, and I'd probably read anything by Sarah Andersen at this point!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this arc copy. A story of a vampire girl that meets a werewolf boy and they fall in love despite their differences. I really enjoyed this, it was light and funny and the art style was really simplistic but perfect, it suited the story so well.

Well that was weird. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is light and fluffy in the oddest way.
Come meet and fall in love with Elsie and Jimmy as they meet and fall in love themselves.
A quiet story, for those of us with a dark sense of humor, sharp edges and gooey insides.
An opposites attract love story of two monsters that learn to appreciate each others differences.

This is a super sweet collection that’s punny and cute. The story follows a vampire and werewolf who happen to fall in love. It was just a pleasant read for anyone who like puns, vamps, and graphic novels.

I enjoyed Sarah's Scribbles at the end of my 20 years when I could enjoy cute things. Now, when I am older, when I was reading this, it was painful. I can't say how bad I think it was, the humor totally didn't click with me, the art is.. maybe better but somehow not? I really like her simpler sketches. Really big miss for me this time.

Thanks to Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review, and thanks to Sarah Andersen for creating it!
Elsie is a three hundred year old vampire trapped in the body of a twenty six year old. She's seen so much in her long life, but she's never met her match like she has with Jimmy. Jimmy comes with his own set of issues; he's a werewolf. Can the two make a real go of their relationship, or will their differences outweigh everything they have in common?
What can I say? This was just a fun, lighthearted take on the vampire/werewolf relationship. Some of the pages had me laughing so hard. I loved the art style and just everything about this. I am a huge fan of vampires in general and it was just the nicest read I've had in a while.

I've been following this story on Tapad and really loved it, so I am very happy that there is going to be a book! :) It focuses on the relationship of the vampire girl and a werewolf and it's terrific. I really like the humour and little hints wrapped in pretty artwork. The best thing about this book is that they deal with normal relationship stuff with not-so-normal conditions and it's pure gold.

Sarah Anderson has done it again, Another funny and, heartwarming read. I found her other comics to be slightly funnier only because I think they are more relatable. Never the less Ms. Andersons take on the classic supernatural beings about a vampire and a werewolf falling in love. is funny, romantic and brimming with cliché moments everyone will sure to love.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC. Fangs is a cute, quick read about a vampire who falls in love with a werewolf. Featuring an adorable drawing style, Sarah Andersen created two characters that I instantly liked. I really enjoyed the story that Andersen created between the two characters, even with so little dialogue. If you're looking for a cute heartwarming read, this is it.

I'd like to thank the publisher and netgalley for providing me a copy of this book.
I have read all of Sarah's previous books and I'm a huge fan of her work. Unfortunately, I didn't love this as much a I thought I would.

I am a big fan of Anderson’s comics and this one did not disappoint me at all. It is so awesome!
It´s sweet. It´s cute. It´s funny. It´s quirky.
It´s everything I had not known I wanted when I was seventeen, reading YA vampire novels, and now, 12 years later I am laughing out loud. I wish I was a vampire dating a werewolf myself.
And the style is simplistic, yet gorgeous.
I got an e-ARC on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Fangs was a cute read for me. It's comical and it lifts the spirits. Fangs is imagining what life would be like if a werewolf and a vampire got together in present-day life and I enjoyed it immensely. It read like a comic strip and not a cohesive story but I found that format was enjoyable.

This is such a fun book! The illustrations are fantastic, and the vampire/werewolf puns are just perfect. It’s a warm-hearted read, with some laugh out loud scenes as well as some cute romantic moments. I don’t usually go for graphic novels, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
My thanks to the author, NetGalley, and the publisher for the arc to review.

I originally found this comic on Tapas. I love Sarah's Scribbles and so I was pretty sure I would like this other comic she created. I was right! It is a different art style but the story is very cute with describing the relationship between Elsie and Jimmy, a vampire and a werewolf. There are funny scenes (like the vampire getting dressed but she can't see herself in the mirror, or the adorably cute werewolf wanting to go on a walk, but no leashes!) and touching scenes that show how much they like each other and are so compatible. It was a lot of fun to read and I definitely would not mind if it was longer! Though I do appreciate that there are more comics in this book than what was published on Tapas. That was a fun surprise to read the new ones.
This is a great comic and a good way to spend some time smiling.

Special thanks to NetGalley and Andrew McMeel Publishing for the eARC
Fangs is a short and fun read for fans of Sarah Anderson. It's charming, heart-warming, and the perfect amount of dark humour, perfect for those who can't wait for Halloween. I recommend this collection of short comics to every vampire and werewolf and creature in between out there!
The final review will be available on Geek Declassified August 31, 2020

I have been a fan of Sarah Andersen's work for a long time now. I knew this would be more of a collection of comic strips going on and Andersen is the master of the punchline. I find her work refreshing and relatable. This shows a cute relationship with characters who find the monster in each other adorable. I am biased in my love of Andersen's work - I can see where some might find this work...anemic (pun intended). There isn't a major plot or large cast of characters. But that is what I find refreshing about it. And though I only know these characters for 100 pages or so, I could see myself being reminded of them or doing a doodle of them as children/fanart.

In Fangs, a vampire and a werewolf fall in love. This book documents little everyday moments in their lives together and apart. It's one of the cutest comics I've read in a while, a lot of feel-good warm fuzzy feelings and laugh out loud moments.
If you need any cheering up, this comic is the one to grab. There isn't really anything resembling a plot, and the book is better for it. Its succinct nature communicates humor well, and I enjoyed the dichotomy of normalcy and biological/habitual quirks that werewolves and vampires both have.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the Publisher for an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Having seen such great early reviews for this one I just had to check out what all the fuss was about, and I totally agree with all the praise, this one is just so cute!
Here we have the time-old tale of boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy turns into a wolf... oh yeah, and that girl... she's a vampire. These are mini one-page comic strips about the relationship between a vampire and a werewolf. The art is simple but adorable, which matches the tone perfectly. And the puns are to die for (see what I did there!?)
I have not come across this author before, but I thoroughly enjoyed this first outing with her, so I'll be on the look out for more from her for sure!
Overall a very quirky and entertaining quick read. I enjoyed this one!
3.5 stars from me.

For sake of full disclosure, I hate to preface and say that I'm a huge Sarah Anderson fan, and have been reading Fangs on Tapas, painstakingly awaiting the next update since October 2019.
When I saw the announcement for this book I was super excited, so I came with very high hopes.
Fangs did not disappoint.
The added strips made it into a beautiful, cohesive story, and Sarah's art is as beautiful as ever.
5 stars and a creampuff!

The story of Fangs is not too complex: a hundred year old vampire start to date a werewolf, then they fell in love. As time goes, they grow into an interesting but special couple. Their dates and later, the common life are told in Sarah Andersen's well-known short comic-style.The daily routine we see in the two monsters is build upon typical horror stereotypes. For example, the vampire sleeps on the day, and lives during the night. The werewolf enjoys mostly free spaces and has close relationship with mother nature. The couple can not take a selfie of them, because the vampire does not has reflection. The most interesting adaptation of horror stereotypes here was the moon cycle connected to the werewolf's transformation. His monthly cycle could make everything upside down in their relationship - like menstruation.
