Super cute and funny book. I love Sarah's art style and have for years. I've been seeing some of the images online and when I saw this book of Netgalley, I jumped at the chance to read and review it and I wasn't let down at all.
I had seen parts of this comic floating around tumblr, and was very excited to read the the compiled book.
New relationships can be a little monsterous. From worrying your boyfriend is more in love with the moon than you, to the concern that your girlfriend still visits her exes in the cemetery. Where she put them.
Dark and absolutely delightful, I read this one straight through. My only complaint - I wish there was more!
I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
This was a really cute and quick read! I like Sarah's Scribbles and this is some of the same with the only sort of connected vignettes and similar no color line work (though this is less cartoon-y). Just a sweet collection of funny stories about a werewolf and vampire dating and the unique situations that could lead to. Lots of situational humor with vampire/werewolf myths that really worked for me.
I got this title free on NetGalley in exchange of an honest review.
How would it be if a She-Vampire and a He-werewolf were to have a romantic relationship? Well, Fangs is the best way to explain it! Dark but sweet, bloody and hairy all together, the short episodes will give you enough hints as to how would love be for the supernaturals. Even though some of the illustrations were simple in design, the ideas presented are very powerful. Wish the author hadn't skipped the "getting to know each other" steps, so we could spend more time with the characters. One question left, is there going to be more volumes? I’ll die for more!
I received a e-copy of this book from the publisher via netgalley
Okay first of all, i haven't read any books or comics related to vampire-werewolf love except for twilight. But this one is amazing!!!
The illustrations are so nice and it was such a cute love story between Jimmy and Elsie. This book showed all about love and care given by a person to his/her partner to be with them at all times no matter what/who they are.
Overall, I loved it and i would surely recommend it to everyone who is in search of a cute love story.
The ARC of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Sarah Anderson’s works are always a joy to read and this one is no exception. Here, the author depicts the love story between a werewolf and a vampire in a very sweet and funny way. I enjoyed all the jokes this comic provided. This story is just adorable and very quick to read, I really recommend it.
Sarah Scribbles has been on my TBR list for a long time, but when I got the opportunity to read her newest about the relationship between a werewolf and a vampire, I thought it might push me to finally pick up her previous books. Unfortunately this really didn’t work for me. It was a bunch of snippets from their life together rather than a story, and it didn’t make me feel anything like I want from graphic novels, either through the dialogue or the art.
Thanks to the author and publisher for giving me a free copy in exchange for an honest review!
Y'all I love books featuring vampires and werewolves! When I saw this one on NetGalley, I immediately went to GoodReads to read some reviews. Almost everyone seemed to absolutely love this one, so I had high expectations. This was a really quick and enjoyable read, but that's it. It's just little glimpses of their life. I expected a full on love story and not just these little glimpses. I would recommend reading this one if you're looking for a fun quick read in between.
Very cute and quick read for paranormal lovers. I enjoyed the drawings and overall narrative. I would reccomend to lovers of this genre.
Fangs tells the story of a vampire girl and a werewolf who fall in love. They consider themselves monsters so they have a lot in common.
It's short but very sweet and with funny and ironic scenes. The drawings are quite simple but also very cute.
This is narrated in small independent scenes put all together, it's not the regular "introduction, conflict, resolution, end" plot story. It's more like a diary but told from the pov of the author.
I really enjoyed reading this cute comic, the couple are so beautiful and adorable together. I really recommend it and hope this gets a second part.
A super cute & quick read perfect for the upcoming spooky season!
In this graphic novel, Sarah Andersen explores what it would look like if a werewolf and vampire fell in love. Every page was filled with puns and made light of the legends associated with each creature. The main downfall is that the story was lacking depth and plot - I'd really love to learn more about these characters and their continued relationship struggles.
Thanks NetGalley for the Arc!
I am in love with this book! Fans of Andersen's previous works should love this collection of vignettes in a relationship between a vampire and a werewolf. The art is so good!
Disclaimer: I have read this before because I am an obsessive Sarah Andersen fan. That being said, this series is completely different from Sarah's Scribbles, and in my opinion not as funny. It's cute, and it's nice that there's a collection now, but I just don't identify with this one as much as with the scribbles.
This book was pretty cute. I would recommend if you want something cute and quick that involves werewolves and vampires.
2.5/5
It is now my favorite graphic novel by Sarah Andersen. A romance between a werewolf and a vampire was so funny to read that I am in love with this ship.
The illustrations are so beautiful and so different than I saw Sarah doing, but I liked it so much.
I super recommended this graphic novel, it is so cute.
I’ve been going through a readers block, any book I start I fail to finish. So I tried out this comic and I enjoyed it. It’s got humor, depending on the type of person you are, it may take a sec for you to understand it buts worth it.
2 people who are completely different yet in love, I like it.
This story was so stinkingly cute! I haven't read any of Sarah Andersen's previous work, but I certainly will now. I loved her take on the relationship between Elsie, a vampire, and Jimmy, a werewolf. The inside jokes were so much fun and made me laugh a lot. The art was simplistic and suited the humor perfectly.
I have been following Fangs on Tapas as Sarah released episodic panels every week, so nothing in this book is new to me. I just want to say that I absolutely adore Sarah's art and I'm so happy that Fangs is coming out as a comic book!! I mean, we all talk about monsters falling in love, and that's exactly what this is. In vein with everything Sarah has done so far, the panels are slice-of-life, funny, and heart warming all at once. I adore Elsie, although I would be wary of her because she WILL eat you. And Jimmy is just the cutest little good boy, yes he is, yes he is!!
Any way, go check it out when it comes out. It's short, cute and super fun!
We stan Sarah Anderson, obviously.
Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with the ARC. All opinions are my own!
A slice-of-life relationship progression between a vampire lady and a werewolf guy. So many puns, so many dog-jokes (so many dog jokes) and through it all the general base understanding between the two characters that despite their differences (and likenesses) they are, well, perfect for each other? Adorable.
The plot is super super sweet, I found myself smiling in the middle of reading and I found myself getting lost in the art work. As an illustration artist myself, I usually look at graphic novels and comic books for their art and I could care less about the story but I was so distracted by the plot that the art work was secondary which was a huge surprise to me. I really want the physical copy of the book to put on my coffee table and flip through it when I need something to help me smile.
