I decided to read Fangs By Sarah Andersen because I wanted to read a cute supernatural romance. Once I started reading I fell in love with the characters and the whole concept, it gave me "Only Lovers Left Alive" vibes!

This story follows a woman named Elsie who is a 300 year old Vampire who is looking for someone to date at the Odditorium (Monster Bar). Also Jimmy who is a Werewolf looking for a lover at the same bar. Both of them meet each other and their romantic relationship starts from there. I really love the dynamic between each character in their unusual relationship because both characters are complete opposites from each other but make it work. I find both character very fascinating! Elsie is an vampire who that's 300 years old (looks 26), has some flaws: allergic to the sun unless in fully covered clothes (she'll burn alive if not), garlic is a problem, can't show up in photos & her eyes bleed when she cries which are some classic vampire traits. But she doesn't mind dating outside of her species, loves reading "Dracula", "Interview with the Vampire" but doesn't like "Twilight" (which I perfectly understand why), she makes Blood Popsicles (which is an Only Lovers Left Alive reference), takes care of her boyfriend in wolf mode and wears a lot of gothic fashion.

Jimmy is a werewolf who loves nature (morning person but night time as a wolf), wolf music, changes under a full moon into a beautiful white wolf, sliver can kill him, loves wearing plaid and jeans (the Wolfman classic look), doesn't mind dating outside of his species, and eats like an animal! There are more moments I love but I don't want to fully spoil the book. The art style is very cute and clear it fits this story beautifully! I will re-read this many times now because I love the supernatural romance that Elsie and Jimmy share in this book it's so cute! I would recommend this book to people looking for a new supernatural romance to read or a cute quick comic book read!

This was sweet but it did feel like a lot of the same punch lines were used, Sarah Andersens art style is something I will always admire and it worked well with the narrative Andersen was creating through the book, but for me lots of the jokes felt flat and a little too samey.

I received an advance reading copy from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review. This will not affect my opinion of it.

I requested this comic fully knowing Sarah Andersen and being a huge fan of her work so obviously that is a big bias. If we add the theme, and the fact that the two main characters are a couple formed by a vampire and a wereworlf well… A LOT had to happen for me not to like this comic.

THIS WAS SO CUTE!!
I loved it. That’s it, that’s the review. I cannot think of any better words to describe it. If you enjoy Sarah’s work you’re gonna love this. The dry sense of humour, the amazing drawing, the charismatic characters… absolutely pure gold.
It has now become one of my comfort reads and I find myself at times re reading my favourite parts, or the whole thing, just to feel its warmth.

I really liked this one! It's a collection of short comics about Elsie, a vampire, and Jimmy, a werewolf. It's cute and I chuckled a little. Short and sweet.

So much fun! I liked the way the jokes and the characters' interactions were connected withe being a vampire or werewolf. Will probably purchase, even for our tiny adult graphic novel collection.

This book is almost too cute for words! If my husband could turn into a big fluffy dog once a month, I would be in heaven. FIVE STARS!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

"Fangs" is a comical series of vignettes about the typical every-day-routine stages in a relationship between a vampire and a werewolf. The graphic novel explores the differences the couple has and how, In an amusing and totally unique-Sarah-Andersen way, they get over their dissimilarities.

The art is, as always, simple and catchy. Andersen has a technique to captivate you and make you giggle because of the relatability her stories have. The comics she creates are very close to our daily life experiences and that's what makes her content good. Even in a graphic novel like this, a fantasy one, She manages to make you identify with her characters to a real level.

And finally, Sarah Andersen's humor is something you don't want to miss. I can assure you that.

I laughed so much while reading this! I loved the characters and how there was a minimal plot, but they still evolved over the course of the book. It was just a pleasure to read.

Lovely art, cute and relatable content, but ultimately way too short.
I finished reading it in under and hour, for all that I stalled as much as possible at each drawing.

Recommended for people who enjoy pop-culture memes.

I was given this ARC but was unable to read it until now, but I'm excited to review even if I'm a tad late :P

Fangs was a wholesome and silly read about a vampire (Elsie) who falls in love with a werewolf (Jimmy) and their life together. Fans of Sarah Andersen will be charmed by the style difference from her other comics such as Sarah Scribbles Adulthood Is A Myth. This one is less chibi-esque style and is geared toward a more adult audience.

I really enjoyed this and found myself chuckling and "awwing" out loud. Definitely something I'll be ordering for the library as well as my own personal collection.

I love this author and I follow her weekly comic strips. It was super interesting to see the two interact as a couple.

The cutest graphic novel I've read in recent times.
A werewolf man and a vampire woman might seem like an odd pairing but you'd be surprised at how well they work!!
I absolutely loved all the tender domestic scenes portrayed beautifully in the book. Sarah Andersen is a genius.

I've seen many panels from this comic online over the years and I'm so glad that the author has put together an entire book of the comic, these two are absolutely adorable!
They affectionately call each other by their species, the hang out at night, ask consent, and sometimes plan a very normal future where they get married in a burning church and have babies - for dinner!
Sounds like the romcom we need in these times. I would highly recommend this story to everyone, and have already introduced it to my sister. I'm so glad I got to read an ARC of this book, good luck to the author and all her stories!

Burst out laughing multiple times. Bout my only complaint is how short the book is. I wish there was more.

I LOVED IT.

When I found out that Sarah Andersen was publishing a new book, I KNEW I had to read it. And as always, I was not disappointed.

Fangs tells the love story between a vampire and a werewolf, a very sweet and funny romance. I loved this book so much that it seemed super short. Yes, it is not exactly a graphic novel but more of a comic and there is not much history behind it, but it is still funny. For Sarah Andersen fans, I'm sure you will love it.
