Usually I give a book 50 pages. Unfortunately, I gave up at about page 15. I found the writing to be very unusual and i just couldn't read it.

If I could give this no stars I would. The title and cover made me think....hmmmm, maybe no description and a good looking cover is something amazing. The first page alone I had to keep reading it over and over because it made no sense what's so ever. It's like they thru you into the middle of the book and you have no idea what the storyline is.
And while I wouldn't call myself a prude, the language is ridiculous! Swearing and using language with "nigga" and other words along that line, when you have no clue as to why. Whoever is helping this person with getting the word out is not doing a great job. I have no clue as to what this book is about and after reading the first page I have no desire to learn more about it. Thank you just the same Netgalley for the chance to read it anyway.
Did not finish.
I downloaded this in good faith, intending to give it a shot although there was no description as to what its about, but the cover made it intriguing. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the first few pages because of the language use. For the most part, when used sparingly and fairly in context, I can get around a "nigga" or "honky" - I can even do poor grammar and sentence structure at a push, but this was just too much and made it impossible to read on any further . As such I am giving a low rating.
Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
