I struggled to stick with this book. I thought the writing was choppy nd the story hard to follow as if a lot was edited out to meet a word count that messed with the flow. The characters did nothing for me. Aston was horrendous. He may be driven but he's also selfish. Thank God nasty Nan had a change of heart to conveniently come to his rescue. Sorry, not the author's best.

The main obstacle between them as a couple was the difference of Aston having a different lifestyle to Bexley with financial differences and Astons father being against them.

I quite liked how Aston and Bexley met at the golf club but in the parts when they were younger I would have liked to have more detail of how they spent their time together. This would have made me understand their relationship a bit more as to why they are drawn to each other and still have that love for each other after a long time.

Aston didn't really come across as that charming to me and not very likeable.
I didn't like that Aston and Bexley carried on with their relationship so quickly and the reasons why they both married different people didn't make sense.

I really liked the children's personalities and how they all behaved when meeting the other children.

Their friends should have tried to help them get together at the beginning especially when their mutual friends are married anyway so you'd think that they would work as a team to set them up to reunite.

I enjoyed this book but it wasn’t until the end until I really got into the book. This is a new to me author and I will be going back and reading more of her work. I love second chance romances and was so excited for this book after reading the blurb. I enjoyed this book and I am hoping when I go back and read it again, I will like it even more.

I'm a bit on the fence about this one. It was easy to read, easy to follow, easy to picture. But, and it's a big but, it was very predictable and for me, that ruined what was set to be a very good book.

this whole book was honestly "rich boy gets the girl because he is hot, and well rich." which, is always a bad plot point in my mind, but i also don't think i'm the biggest second chance romance fan, so it probably just didn't make it that good.

Aston is a part of the country club elite and Bexlely is the country club staff. These two worlds should never intersect but they do. A summer of love between two college kids, a trust fund baby and a girl from the wrong side of the tracks never ends well and Bexley learns this the hard way when the promises of forever are quickly forgotten.
Fast forward about fourteen years, Bexley and Aston are both parents and in marriages that have ended in divorce or on their way to divorced. Aston is facing serious legal trouble in his life and with his company and decides to go to Bexley seeking the comfort he’s craved since he left her years ago. He’s determined to have Bexley back in his life at any cost, even after he learns of the child she kept from him.
Second chance romances are typically one of my favorite troupes, add in kids and I’m pretty much in heaven. Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to like book it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I liked the idea of the storyline, but this book just didn’t do it for me. It wasn’t horrible but the cons outweighed the pros. I think primarily because I wasn’t a fan of either character. What I could appreciate about them is they were both flawed but at the same time they were unrealistic in their approach to life. Each of them married someone under false pretenses but didn’t really hold themselves accountable for their part in the demise of their relationships.
Aston was by far the worse. This man literally steamrolls himself back into Bexley’s life and expects her to just go with the flow. He gives arrogance a whole new meaning. I get the whole Alpha thing but for me he came across as rude, spoiled, and extremely childish. Bexley was just too accepting of this behavior. It was like she felt like she deserved this behavior. Aston’s children with his soon to be ex-wife were younger than Bexely’s children and I felt like he was neglecting them to get to know another child. He was always too eager to leave them with a nanny to secure his relationship with Bexley.
The flow of the story gave me pause as well; things just seemed a bit rushed. Again, this wasn’t a horrible book and I’m sure it’s a five-star read for someone but for me it didn’t work.

Second chance romances are one of my favorites, and this one does not disappoint. Aston and Bexley’s chemistry is off the charts and Rachel makes you feel every emotion in this book. If you love second chance romances, you will want to read this book.

I received a complimentary copy of Love Disregarded in exchange for an honest review. This book was exactly what I was looking for, and it checked all of the boxes for a great read. It began with a teenage romance between Aston and Bexley that was doomed because of social economical differences. Aston and Bexley both went different directions, and were married, had children and divorced. More then a decade passed, before Aston was charged for a crime he allegedly did not commit, and he sought out his "true love" Bexley for support.

This was such a realistic story, that was well thought out and well written. It contained the perfect balance of sharing the teenage years and relationship building, addressing dysfunctional families and alcoholism, and ensuring that if love was meant to be no amount of distance or life experiences will change that. Aston and Bexley may have lost over tens years together, but they both needed that time to mature, and grow as individuals before they could enter a lasting, long term relationship, and to get their "happily ever after."

Overall, this was a great book that I would definitely recommend to friends and family,

I was not a huge fan of this one. I usually love this authors books, but this one didn't sit well with me.

I didn't like any of the charachters, except the kids. Bexley and Aston were the most selfish people, in my opinion. I wanted to scream at Bexley to stop whining and Aston just irked me.

Don't even get me started on Milly.

I wish I could give a better review, but I feel 3 stars is a decent rating. The story line was good, but the characters were just awful people.

I just couldn't get into this one. I really wanted to like it...this is a trope I normally go for, but I tried three or four times and the characters didn't do it for me.

Aston and Bexley just didn't work for me. I thought their initial meeting in the book was strange. Their initial meeting in flashbacks was a little better, but he never struck me as the hero of the story and I never cared for the characters at all. What happened to them didn't matter and it definitely wasn't enough for me to be engaged in the story in any way.

I finished, technically, but I skimmed and skipped through the title to see if it got any better for me, which it didn't.

I am not able to recommend this title.

Aston and Bexley have had to endure so much in their 30+ years. Lovers at a young age and being forced apart for almost 15 years, they find themselves back together with more baggage than they had all those years ago.

Aston begins fighting for Bexley and her kids to be with him and his.

This is a beautifully written story: something relatable about second chances and love requited. A blending of families and learning how to forgive the past and move forward with the present +future. A solid 4.7 stars in my book.

I love this author and her books! She has such a way of drawing you into every title she writes! Her character development is one of my favorite parts of her writing. With this book you could see where the author was going but the reader still isn’t sure how it will end up. The writing was superb and so were the characters!
If you haven’t picked up a book by this author yet, you need to!!

Wow! Where to even start? There is so much going on in this book and at times it can be hard to process. Especially with the jumping between past and present.

Let’s first start with Aston. He honestly comes off as a jerk during most of the present scenes. He just steams rolls over Bexley. Me caveman you woman. Hear me roar. He made his bed and didn’t realize he was going to have to lie in it. His past self was much gentler and needed to be found in the present.

Next we have Bexley. The girl who fell in love with a boy on the nice side of town. She knew they were doomed but still tried to keep the faith. She wasn’t perfect but given the circumstances I would have kept my secrets too. Her ex-husband is a major jerk though. I want that man to get a good slap of reality at some point. He should be ashamed of himself.

Mike and Millie are Aston and Bex’s best friends. I’m not sure why we got so much of their story unless it’s a segway into a book for them. Stating they are dysfunctional is being kind. I liked them until we found out what their relationship is really like. Not my cup of tea. But if it works for them then good for them.

This is a first time author for me and I would be interested in reading more from her in the future.

So, I won’t lie and not say I struggled a little bit with this one. But at the same time I understood where the characters were coming from. The struggle to get out from under the thumb of a domineering father to just struggling to survive because you cannot let go from your first love. When things collide though, I got it. I fell in love with it. I started to adore these characters. Then the twists and turns that Blaufeld added into this story, gave it that much more depth and feeling as to why these two could just not let go of the past and why they were made for each other.
Aston has a lot of trouble in his camp. But I love his drive of wanting to right the wrongs and prove his innocence. Bexley is an interesting character but the way she let Aston just take over in some aspects and let things go, was not the fiery leading lady that I am used to from this author. But as a whole, it fit the story. Aside from what was happening in Aston’s life with regards to work, it felt real. The messy divorces, the messy custody issues, flawed characters. In that aspect, I really fell in love with the story.

A great storyline, fantastic chemistry. I really enjoyed this book, as I always do with This authors books.

Love Disregarded by Rachel Blaufeld is a good second chance read.
I enjoyed the storyline and ended up reading it in one sitting.

Overall, Love Disregarded is a heartfelt second chance love-story and I highly recommend it.

I have read a couple of books from this author and quite liked them so I was excited for this one. The synopsis reeled me in and it started off well but there were some elements that I didn't completely compel me.

Things that I had some issues with:
1) Aston, I believe was supposed to come across as alpha type male who made decisions and took charge. But instead he came across a bit of a dick and didn't listen just plowed through and did what he wanted, consequences be damned. That trait did not do it for me, as communication is key and especially here when he dropped Bexley so drastically before.
2) I normally love when kids are part of the story but when they were part of the dialogue they came across as adults not children to me.
3) When Bexley has to come clean about her secret with her daughter that conversation was so awkward and not in its an awkward topic sense but it felt rigid and jarring and not emotional and real as it could have been since it was a heavy topic.
4) Mike and Millie story line felt a bit unnecessary or jolting. I see why it was there but their story took a wild turn out of no where and then felt a bit dropped and uncompleted. Maybe they will get their own story then it will make more sense.

Things I liked:
1) Not often to we have blended family love stories and I liked that aspect here. I think this should be done more as it is more parallel to what happens in reality.
2) I liked the idea of second chances and following your heart.
3) For the most part I did like Bexley and understood her hesitation when it came to Aston.

I liked the idea of the story more than the story in the end but that is totally a personal preference in reading. Even though this story wasn't my favorite I can't wait to read more from this author.
