This is a slow read for me. It had some interesting points, but a lot of it felt really out there, too. I think that was the authors intent I felt a little doomsday.

I received this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy (ARC) through NetGalley. I received this copy free in exchange for my honest review.

I just reviewed Digital Downfall by Hugh Taylor. #DigitalDownfall #NetGalley A well researched book. The author gave some great examples, terrifying but I think its a book that everyone needs to ready to understand the perils that are in front of us

This is a book packed with information, and I find it to be a great introduction to cybersecurity when looked at as a form of warfare. It includes the information on what is going on, the context, and it also offers solutions to the issued. The book is not hard to read as it does not include many technological terms, and everything is well explained. I can definitely recommend, although once or twice while reading some sentences, I felt like I read the same sentence just a couple of pages ago.

I enjoyed this book and the premises it contained. We live in a digital world and there are always pitfalls in this world. I recommend this book to anyone interested the digital world

I was given a copy of this book for review.

The author points out the many ways that our PC, mobile devices, etc can be accessed without much difficulty. I thought I knew many of these but surprised to see just how many more ways that it could be done.

It does take a basic understanding of the Internet and World Wide Web to understand what is spoken here. The author does explain from the start of the Internet and how the "bugs" entered the system. I will no longer touch open-source software myself and before using any IOT device, verify if they were made in China or Russia, the same will go for apps.

I do own an android phone and well be buying an Apple once I can afford it.

I was intrigued to read this book due to the nature of cyber crime and geo political manouverings, as promised in the blurb. I was slightly disappointed in that the author chose to focus on complicated tech language and relying too heavily on quotes, rather than making the subject easy to follow and become invested in for the reader. I feel to truly understand and enjoy this book you need more than a basic understanding of technology. 2/5.
