Sadly i did not finish this book.
I was excited for a YA Christmas romcom but I was bored through all of what I read.
There was nothing keeping my interest. The main character felt younger than a high schooler and she was very annoying. I did not connect with the characters at all.
Super cozy and sweet holiday romance that teen readers looking for some holiday cheer will love. 2020 is a perfect time to escape into this wintery, Christmas romance with a little bit of a twist at the end. This paperback release reminds me so much of the early 2000s mass market releases that used to line my childhood bedroom bookshelves. I love that this is a quick, easy read for teens.
This book was okay... I wasn't the biggest fan of it but it also wasn't the worst you know what I mean. Ill try her out again with her next release.
I loved this book and all its feels! I absolutely loved this book and everything about it! This is a perfect book for the holiday season, packed with Christmas love and cheer. I truly enjoyed reading this book because it upped my mood and spirits and helped me remember the reason and magic of the holiday season. I would highly recommend adding this book to your holiday reading list; it is like reading a Hallmark movie!
This is a tough one to review because as an over-thirty (forty, but shhh) reader who enjoys a good YA romance once in a while, this wasn't really something I would suggest to older YA readers but fifteen year old, holiday and romance obsessed me would have LOVED this story!!
Highly recommend for younger readers, not so much for older YA readers!

All I Want For Christmas is such a sweet holiday read! This book is full of Christmas magic. It’s heartwarming and an absolute delight. Perfect for Hallmark Christmas movie fans from teens to adults.
It’ll make you want to eat cookies and drink hot chocolate after a long day at the Christmas tree farm.
Bailey Briggs LOVES Christmas (same, girl) and all she wants is the coveted kiss under the mistletoe! This holiday season, two boys have caught her eye. Will her Christmas kiss be with the mysterious boy with the British accent and her goofy classmate?
Bailey is a girl after my own heart full of Christmas spirit! It’s always nice to see a fellow Christmas-crazed character.
This is such a sweet book full of Christmas magic with the message of what you really want might just be right in front of you 🎄

First, I have to say a huge thank you to NetGalley and Underlined (an imprint of Random House Children’s Books) for giving me an ARC of this Christmas-y read in exchange for an honest review. All I Want for Christmas is about a girl named Bailey who has a heart overflowing with the Christmas Spirit. The one thing she wants for Christmas this year is the Perfect Kiss Under the Mistletoe. But when two guys catch her eye she has to wonder if her wish will come true. This adorable, Hallmark-esque romance comes out on November 3rd and is available for pre-order now.
I had zero plans of finishing this book in less than 24 hours, but between the length of the novel and the fast pace I had no choice except to be swept away by this sweet romance. It definitely helps that, like Bailey, I am obsessed with Christmas and the holiday season. This book is the perfect read for any Christmas Lover in your life. It has plenty of wonderful Christmas scenes as well as real life moments with family and friends. I enjoyed seeing Bailey act like a real teenager torn between two crushes. It was also great to see a family acting like family--neither absent nor over the top picture perfect.
The one thing I think took away from the novel for me was the length. On GoodReads it says the book will be 240 pages and I wish it were longer. (And e-ARCs are always formatted weird so I had no clue what the length of the novel was beforehand.) I think adding another 45-100 pages of “world building” or setting up the main character’s life would help a lot. The romance almost makes up for it, but not quite.
It’s an adorable romance that leans heavily into the Christmas side of things. It’s great for fans of Hallmark Christmas Movies, Christmas Lovers, and anyone who wants to just skip Halloween and get to Christmas already.
I wanted to love this so bad, but the writing is... not great. Just cringe and edited badly at time. The voice did not work AT ALL for me, but YMMV.
I really expected to love this book since it is basically a holiday rom-com (and who doesn't love holiday rom-coms!), but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. For multiple reasons, this book didn't live up to even my average expectations which is really a bummer for a holiday read.
The one main positive of this book (and the reason I gave it two stars) was the Christmas vibes of this book. I know this is a Christmas book, but I was seriously getting in the Christmas spirit just reading about them making cookies, and decorating the house, and wrapping presents. All the fun stuff. The holiday spirit cannot be denied in this book so I had to give it an extra star for that.
As for all the things I didn't enjoy...One of the biggest negatives for me was the writing. The main character felt very childish. Her overall voice and thinking style felt much younger than a high school teenager. It felt as if someone was trying too hard to channel their inner teenager. It wasn't enjoyable and felt very juvenile.
As well, all the dialogue in this book was very stiff. Really, the whole book was kinda stiff. I didn't connect with any characters or the storyline on an emotional level at all. The scenes weren't super descriptive or emotional so even though exciting or fun things were happening, I couldn't connect with it enough to enjoy it.
Overall, this is not a holiday read I'd recommend or read again. I think if the writing was reviewed and revised, the story could have a much better shot.
All I Want for Christmas is a short, young adult romance. It is pure escapist fiction and heaven knows we certainly need that more than ever for Christmas 2020. It is firmly set in the Christmas season and festivities with snow, Christmas trees, hot cocoa, cookie exchanges, and gift giving. There are nods to some classic Christmas stories/movies. The characters and plot are fairly formulaic, but for Hallmark-loving fans, this story will probably be enjoyable.
The main character, Bailey, is a junior in high school; she drives and is thinking about college. This gives appeal to the older teenage reader, but on the flip side the romance is gentle so young romance lovers will find this story their speed, too.

Nette Geschichte
For Bailey, this really was the most wonderful time of the year. From the top of her head to the bottom of her toes, she no holds barred loved Christmas. Bring on the carols, cookie baking, and present wrapping! She was ready and willing to do anything to make Christmas wonderful for every person. But this year, she also wanted something for herself - a Christmas kiss. It never seemed probable before, but with two suitors, it seems like more of a possibility than ever.
Straight truth, this book delighted my Hallmarkie heart. It was so sweet, cute, and adorable. I was swept away into all the holiday festivities, and it was a wonderful escape for me. Ice skating, cocoa, cookie swaps, present wrapping -- I loved every second of it! But there was also a lovely focus on friends, family, kindness, and seeing beyond the surface. I will admit, that this story earned a few extra brownie points near the end. I suspected something, and I was half right, but then Loggia took it a step further and hit me right in the feels. Obviously, I loved what she did there and my heart pretty much exploded.

This book brought me a sweet little treat, which more than fulfilled my expectations. It did a great job of lifting my mood, and left me merry, bright, and full of good cheer.
With Christmas around the corner, I am all ready for any kind of Christmas romance book and this one was right up my alley. I think you know based on the cover and the plot what kind of book you are getting into. It’s a hallmark fluff piece. This isn’t going to be an in-depth, heart wrenching, multilayered complex story. This is a heart warming, snuggle up with some hot coco, and say “awe” kind of book.
This book is a Hallmark movie to its core. It has the small town where everyone knows everybody, with Bailey working a bookstore just wishing for a perfect kiss for Christmas. There are some cute moments that are taken straight out of a movie.
Bailey feels young in the book though she is in high school. Her dialogue makes it feel as if she is in junior high rather than her actual age. I wasn’t a fan of how she handled the situation she got herself in, but in the end everything worked out.
Overall it’s a cute book if you like cheesy YA Christmas stories. There isn’t much depth or story beyond the surface and honestly I think there are better ones out there.
This was an absolutely adorable book. All the adorable holiday feels and a genuinely sweet main character. A sweet, marshmallow fluff of a teenage romance that made me smile and feel good about the holiday. Was it predictable and perhaps a little too sweet? Maybe. But I don't mind over-indulging in sweets during the holiday. Sometimes I don't even necessarily want harsh reality in my sweet little teen romance reads. This was light and fluffy and just perfect for me, These are dark times and sometimes I just need something to make me happy and this was it. I want to believe that there are genuinely sweet and nice people in the world like Bailey, Jacob and Charlie. That people, especially teens are capable of being thoughtful and sincere people, and not self absorbed narcissists attached to their phones. I don't even care if it's not true, this made me believe and I thank the author for the holiday cheer.
Sadly this Christmas Romance was just not for me. It had all the things I adore in a cute Christmas romance: a girl who loves Christmas, working at a cute store (in this case a bookstore), a very adorable British boy who just swoops in and saves her, a jock classmate that seems to be more than what his stereotype appear, and Christmas baking. Now to explain why this just didn’t work for me, Bailey is.... juvenile... let me say this, maybe I’m getting old, but reading from her voice made me feel as if I was reading from a 8th or 9th grader’s POV when she clearly is well into highschool. Here’s the thing that really irked me, that always irks me, unnecessary love triangles and when she decides “hey why not go out with both dudes at the same time without telling them because I want both”. In the wise words of Nick Miller from New Girl: “You HAVE TO choose!! You can't have both women!! What, you think you have a bunch of wives!!! YOU GET ONE WIFE!! THIS IS THE WAY THE WORLD WORKS!!!” Bailey is quick to judge and she really does seem to be more judgmental than I would have liked. Suffice to say, I did not feel the holiday romance in this holiday romance. However, don’t let me dissuade you from giving this book a try though! Also that ending plot twist came out of nowhere, literally just outta left field. So.... yeah... maybe this romance is for you or maybe its not, give a try and see if you feel the holiday romance.

The main character of this story, Bailey Briggs, is excited for Christmas, but feels a little left out without someone to kiss under the mistletoe. She quickly gets caught in a love triangle with a British boy named Charlie and an athlete named Jacob. Overall, I thought that this story was a really cute read, and I'd definitely recommend it for fans of YA who are looking for a new contemporary romance for the holidays.
This story was cute. I think it's very obvious from the description and the cover that it's the book version of a Hallmark Christmas movie, and it very much lived up to that. The scenery was cozy and perfect, the chapters were all titled after Christmas songs, and there wasn't an over abundance of drama. It's the perfect book to curl up under a blanket wishing it was Christmas already. It'll get you in the holiday spirit.
Bailey was adorable. Obsessed with Christmas and determined to not let people ruin her Christmas cheer. I wish we'd learned a little more about some of the secondary characters and had more scenes building them up, but I understand that would've lengthened the book. Regardless, I do think it was necessary for Jacob to have a wee bit more chemistry with Bailey. On the one hand, I appreciate that their relationship was not forced and did feel organic getting to know you, but on Bailey's end, it kind of felt like "I'm desperate to get my Christmas kiss wish and now here's this boy who seems like he might check that off." She didn't even really have reason to have some of the semi-negative thoughts she had about him at the beginning.
The book was really cute and was going to a solid 4 stars until the end. The twist with Charlie was just a little too... much. It felt weird in the setting and story that had been created and then in turn ended up feeling like a cheap way to write the boy off. I think it would've felt more in line with the story if "Christmas magic" had been played up more throughout the book: snow falling at the perfect moment, bells ringing, etc. I suppose the random money that was found was supposed to go along with that, BUT it needed to be developed more. I lost respect for Bailey when she just spent the money she found because it was labeled "For You". There could've been a news story about someone dropping off envelopes around the city as a good Samaritan type thing. Instead it's a one off thing to simply satisfy the plot.
Overall, and I feel really bad that I think this, but I think this book needed a little bit more developmental editing. Small things here and there to really tie together the true "Hallmark Christmas movie" feeling.
A fun Christmas book for young adults during the holiday season! I think teens will enjoy the plot and characters in this story as well as the holiday theme throughout book.
Bailey makes a Christmas wish to find someone to kiss under the mistletoe at Christmastime this year. While working at a bookstore, she runs into a guy from school who could possibly like her, but she also meets a new British guy who she has never seen before, but is very attractive and has a great accent. Who will she choose? And how did she go from having no one to two guys?
There's a twist at the end of the story that I didn't really enjoy, but young adults probably would. There are lots of Christmas references to make you feel warm and cozy, many beautiful settings described and the feeling of winter and Christmas throughout the entire book.

This book was exactly as I imagined, very much like a Hallmark movie. I binged it in two sittings since it was so short. I just really wanted a feel good book that would lift my spirits and in that aspect, this book did deliver. If you want a very simple romance full of atmospheric Christmas dates and cheer, you’ll love this book.
All the characters were very cliche, pretty underdeveloped, and the main character was honestly quite annoying at times if we’re being honest. Obviously, she’s still in high school, so I’m sure she was making petty decisions because she was naïve, but literary one part of the book she called for help and instead of thanking the person who helped her she yelled at said person for being late when it was her fault for doing things last minute, but yeah, this book is very much geared towards high school students who love a lot of fluff.
I will say, the one thing that really captured me about this book was the description of the Winter Wonderland that was created. The cozy bookshops, cafes, the beautiful white snow falling, all the cheesiness of the Holiday season was stuffed into this book and I wasn’t mad about it. This book brought a smile to my face and I have a fun reading experience with it.
Also, totally weird point, but the first few chapters, every character that was described was wearing a college hoodie or sweatshirt which I thought was kind of funny, but also weird? I was like is there no better way to describe someone, and also, there’s no way every single person is just wearing a college hoodie? It just didn’t make sense, but again, that didn’t really bug me, just thought it was quirky, lol.
This was such a fun holiday teen read. This book was focused on holiday spirit and finding love! I finished it in about two hours and loved the character development throughout the book!
