When you listen to an audio book, the narrator can make or break the book. In this book, the narrator has a nice voice if not a little too perky. It didn’t fit the description of the book. But I think that is OK, because the book is a snooze. Nothing happens to make me want to continue listening. I will since I paid full price for the book. It was truly bad.

Megan Miranda's "The Girl From Widow Hills" comes alive with the audiobook. The narrator's voice matches exactly with the mental picture of the female protagonist in this novel.

Arden Maynor was 6 years old when she was reported missing. She was found, and life went on. Now, grown up and known as Olivia, she's trying to hide from the publicity of her past. She's a home out in the country where her nearest neighbor is an old man who helps her with chores and keeps an eye on her. When dead bodies start showing up, along with a box of her mother's belongings, Olivia's sleepwalking has returned, and she doesn't know who to turn to. Who is friend, and who is foe? It's a mystery and thriller that takes many twists and turns. The ending is satisfying, and you can't help but wonder what's next on this author's plate.

The Girl from Widow Hills by Megan Miranda (thriller/suspense) (audiobook)

I'm a 6w7 enneagram and scared of my own shadow 😂, but I LOVE a good mystery/thriller/suspense novel. This one was fantastic.

@meganlmiranda is a newer author for me. I read The Last House Guest when it was a @reesesbookclub pick, and I enjoyed it, so I was excited to get this audiobook from @netgalley and @simon.audio!

The narration was perfect, even with one narrator doing all of the character voices. I was pulled into the story immediately. I paused my repeated listens of @taylorswift Folklore album and @sixthemusical cast album to listen to more of this book! And, you guys...I didn't see the final twist coming AT ALL. The last few chapters = 🤯.

I already have The Perfect Stranger from Megan Miranda in my TBR pile, thanks to my friend @laurajulietk!

From the publisher: "Arden Maynor was just a child when she was swept away while sleepwalking during a terrifying rainstorm and went missing for days. Strangers and friends set up search parties and held vigils, praying for her safe return. Against all odds, she was found, alive, clinging to a storm drain. The girl from Widow Hills was a living miracle. Arden’s mother wrote a book. Fame followed. Fans and fan letters, creeps, and stalkers. And every year, the anniversary. It all became too much. As soon as she was old enough, Arden changed her name and disappeared from the public eye.

Now a young woman living hundreds of miles away, Arden goes by Olivia. She’s managed to stay off the radar for the last few years. But with the twentieth anniversary of her rescue approaching, the media will inevitably renew its interest in Arden. Where is she now? Soon Olivia feels like she’s being watched and begins sleepwalking again, like she did long ago, even waking outside her home. Until late one night she jolts awake in her yard. At her feet is the corpse of a man she knows—from her previous life, as Arden Maynor."

And now, the
