DNF. Couldn't get into this one--slow pace for first half of the book. Couldn't get into the rhythm/pace.
This was an enjoyable read from Michele Mannon. It was full of twists and turns. Some parts were a little slow in my opinion but overall, I really did enjoyed the story.
A classic bad-boy romance but a lot is well written and with an intriguing plot and a strong heroine.
This is a romantic suspense, told from alternating time periods from the point of view of Kylie whose whole life shifted after her father was brutally murdered. When no one was charged for his murder, she decided to seek revenge herself. She then gets recruited by a group of mercenaries to investigate the death of her father. This is how she meets Jaxson.
Hot hot hot!! I loved it! Great characters, great story. Pulled me in from the beginning and kept me reading!
Rogue by Michele Mannon is a suspenseful novel that was full of twists and turns. With a strong heroine, Mannon was able to create a story that weaved action, chicanery, deceit and revenge in the backdrops of romance. While the overall story line was intriguing, I felt the first half of the book was a bit slow for my taste and it definitely affected my rating. I liked the concept of the story since it reminded me of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. So if you are looking for a sexy romantic suspense, this book might be for you.

Am I the only one who got Mr. and Mrs. Smith vibes?
This was my first read by Michele Mannon and I did really enjoy it. I'm always down for strong heroines and when romance isn't the only thing going on in the story.
Keep in mind that this is romantic suspense so both elements are going on here. If you're hoping for a straight-up spy book then this might not be for you.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC
I read the first few chapters of this book and just could not get into it. I could not connect with the characters or care about what she was going through. I put it down thinking I'd come back, but I just do not feel the need to continue. I'm calling this one a DNF
This was an enjoyable first read from Michele Mannon. It was full of twists and turns. Some parts were a little slow but overall I enjoyed the story.
This was interesting but somehow I just couldn't get into the plot.
I remembered Declan and Diego and I adored them but the MCs... I just didn't click with them. I found her kinda bland and he... his personality was making inappropriate comments. I was more interested in knowing Declan's backstory than the main characters story.
It's a shame because it had potential to be amazing and it didnt do it for me.
Kylie is on the run trying to complete the mission she was sent to do while dealing with the loss of her love. She also is running from the organization that hired her because they think she has gone rogue. That is why they sent someone after her. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep this story going there is also some romance thrown in as well as she is also wanting revenge on who killed her lover. With plenty of action and just enough suspense for an interesting book. Overall a good book.
I tried, I really did try to love this book. There was just such a disconnect with me and these characters and I was really hoping I would eventually form some sort of bond.... sadly I didn't. I want to say it was the format of the story telling, the back and forth , the then and now it grew tiresome quickly. The cast of characters was endless and hard to follow a lot of the time. I was so intrigued by the synopsis and was really looking forward to reading this. The idea of a woman in special oops was totally appealing to me and I was so glad when I was approved for this book.
To some this will be an amazing book and I am happy for that. For me I was just disconnected and couldn't overcome that.
'Rogue' is the first book of the 'Deadliest Lies' series by Michele Mannon.
This is the first book I have read by this author and even though the first-half of the book was good , it was the second part that had me feeling bored , hence my low rating. The storyline was ok and I loved the chemistry between Kylie and Jaxson , but it always seemed as if something was missing.
I loved Jason's ruthlessness. The way he went after Kylie to make her see how amazing they both were together, was really good! They both were a team and I liked thier love story a lot. But as I said before , the story seemed to be missing a spark and I just couldn't find myself being absorbed in it. Still ,I would recommend it to all the contemporary romance lovers , who knows you might end up liking it!
I had a hard time understanding this one, trying to reread the first sixty pages twice. First Kylie shows up in Paris in a strange twist, city of lovers when her apparent lover is dead. Only she is set for revenge because her lover Jaxson is dead. Then we shift to one year ago and start the story. A slow moving book that never really gripped my understanding or my attention. Two stars. I did not share this review on any other site.

Enemies to lovers full of suspenseful and twisted moments sparkled with a love story that shouldn’t have happen but it did.
The first half of the story is quite interesting and intriguing, and as I love suspense, this was just perfect for my taste, but the other half felt dragged out a lot unfortunately and hence the lower star rating.
It’s a good story overall that many lovers of romantic suspense will enjoy.

Rogue places an interesting and unique spin on a mafia romance in the New Adult Romance world. The characters are interesting, the plot line is intriguing, suspenseful and action packed. There is a bit of everything.
The romance between the main characters is HOT FIRE FLAMES!!! Im glad I took the chance on this read. The change in the timeline between past, present and local take some getting use to, but once you do it only aids in driving the development of the characters and plot more. The heroine is not a wallflower that is easily overshadowed or manipulated by the hero. Score on a strong female lead.
Rogue by Michele Mannon presents the story of Kylie and Jaxson.
Kylie saw her dad get killed for no reason. She wants revenge. Jaxson is an ex-soldier, now working in private security. They met while doing a camp for Hayden, the boss.
Jaxson gets killed while doing a mission with Kylie. But is he really dead?
At first, I hated the book. I was so lost in the story in the first chapter. But it got better! The writing is pretty good (except a few mistakes in French... like bonne nuit). Kylie was a badass. Really liked her. Jaxson was okay. The story was pretty great. It's not a 5 stars read, but it's still pretty good!
I enjoyed this, it was fun and suspenseful, it was easy to read and it gave off a very James Bond type vibe to it. Would recommend.
The very first thing you should know about this book is that it is SUPER SUPER STEAMY!!!! Like very descriptive. Pretty frequently.
Overall I enjoyed this book. I was gifted a copy on NetGalley and was so thankful because it definitely out of my comfort zone of what I would have picked up. It’s a romance, but it’s also about a girl who wants revenge and ends up getting recruited to be a spy.
I have conflicted feelings about this book, which is why I gave it 4 stars. On one hand, it’s a good romance novel. It’s different and has more layers than a romance novel since the main characters life is so interesting. However, I felt that it was missing depth as a regular novel. I wanted more out of the spy story and more about the relationship. But overall, it was a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I struggled with this one, it sounded really good, but unfortunately it didn’t really pick us as a story until halfway through and I was so ready to give up so many times, some of the jumps and flashbacks are just confusing. But I did find the second half improved and I actually enjoyed this from here on in, but for me it had possibilities but overall just didn’t meet them.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

I took an interest in this book because of the cover. I am a sucker for good covers. It took sometime for me to really get into the story and sometimes in the first few chapters I almost gave up, but I hate not finishing a book so I sucked it up. Somewhere around the middle I got into it and I ended up liking the book. It might have been the best book I read this week but it was not my worst. All in all it was an okay read. I recommend Rogue to romance lovers looking for something to read in their spare time.
