This was a great book to those wanting to dabble in the world of Holistic health versus relying on western medicine and pharmaceutical drugs. It was insightful and informative and a great guide

The Holistic Health Handbook by Kim Lam is a quick, easy and well-organized and well-written introduction to holistic health. The book briefly introduces a variety of healing practices and treatments, alternative medical systems, mind-body interventions, biologically-based therapies, manipulative and body-based therapies and energy therapies. Then sets out possible holistic health remedies for more than two-dozen common ailments including acne, back pain, cold and flu, infertility and stress.

For someone who has just a casual understanding of holistic health, this book would be a perfect jumping off point, however, it likely wouldn’t be of much value to someone more knowledgeable of the topic.

This was a well-written book and it had a lot of important information in it. However, it's really a book for people who are completely new to the holistic health world. There isn't any new information in here that I haven't already read multiple times before. But, if you are a person who has never read anything on the subject, then this would be a very good place to start. It covers a lot of important topics.

I love this book for its tips and great advice on holistic medicine. It is easy to find the cure for the illness you might have. Some remedies you probably know but many will be a pleasant surprise. Wonderful reference to every household!!!!

This book offers an overall view of holistic health and a guide for all kinds of ailments using herbs at the back part. If your interested in different kinds of holistic medicine, then this may be your ideal handbook.

What did I like? I like holistic herbs and believe Hippocrates would be saddened by the nature that doctors use these days. Taking care of yourself and realizing that our environment is a fragile state, are two things most people ignore these days. I enjoy a strict herbal regimen these days, and this book has a ton of good points. It also shares a good warning about treating conditions on your own.

Would I recommend or buy? There’s a ton of information between the pages of this book but can you utilize it? The book offers a flip guide of tinctures for certain conditions that may ail you. The overall history of holistic health may be beneficial as well but that’s only if you need it.

This is very nice guide book and it's great to have at home. The book explains about the tradition of holistic healing. This is the first time I read about this subject and I was very interesting and well explained. I really enjoyed learning about how to use the holistic health to heal some illness like depression, allergies, anxiety, asthma, back pain, cold and flu, infertility, insomnia and a lot others. This is a must have book and will be using it as a guide whenever you need to heal something. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

This book is divided into several sections. It provides a general hostory and overview of holistic healing, how to incorporate holistic healing by making small changes in your everday life. I think that the final section is the most useful. Here Lam identifies several conditions that are experienced by many people and goes through specific holostic measures for each one.
