Enjoy the View by Sarah Morgenthaler is a cute read! It is the third book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series. Even though this book could be read as a standalone, I read the first two books in the series just so I would have more familiarity with the characters and of Moose Springs. I'm so glad that I did this!
Enjoy the View features the town's beloved mountain man, Easton.Lockett. He's a gentle giant, standing at 6.5 feet tall. He's usually a loner but he misses having a relationship with someone.
In walks, River Lane, a Hollywood starlet who's acting career is on the decline at 30 years old (I know, who would've thunk?). She decides her next career move is to get behind the camera. The first job she gets is to produce and direct a documentary on Moose Springs, AK.
The town is known for not liking tourists, so River and her crew have to look for alternative ways to film the documentary. They decide to climb the infamous Mount Veil, and Easton has been tasked to lead them up and down safely.
There's an immediate attraction between Easton and River and they bond during their climb. However, River is stubborn and she and her team will just about to do anything for some good footage. This makes for a difficult and unsafe climb.
I think the story is cute, but I'm not an outdoorsy person so I couldn't get into the story as well as the other two books in the series. Climbing mountains are not an interest of mine - and I'm sure as hell not a daredevil. Also, I'm respective of rules and consider myself a by-the-book type of person. River started getting on my nerves because of her lack of adherence to the rules which resulted in putting herself and everyone else in danger. I realize that that aspect makes the story more interesting but it was stupid on her part.
I kept getting The Great Alone x Shopaholic & Sister vibes throughout the book. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I just couldn't shake off those vibes.
Overall, a cute book but perhaps not for me. The highlight of the book for me was the marmot - yes, seriously!
Thank you, NetGalley, Sourcebooks and Sarah Morgenthaler for providing me an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I was so excited for this book because it was Easton's book! I loved the twins throughout both Graham and Rick's books, so I was so ready to read about one of them finding love (hopefully there's going to be a book about Ashton finding love next because I have to read that- Ashton is such a badass amazing helicopter pilot and I want to read anything I can about her). I really didn't realize how intense Easton's job as a mountaineering guide was- man, scaling Mt. Veil sounded so freaking intense (and I'm sure it was even harder because 1) the people he was guiding weren't really listening to him and 2) it didn't seem like they had all that much experience, besides River anyway. Speaking of River, I couldn't decide whether I liked her or not- most of the time I thought she was a great main character/love interest, but sometimes she annoyed me a little when she didn't listen to reason, but I understand why she didn't and why she was so persistent in making that documentary (and that's a huge sign of Sarah Morgenthaler being a great author). I really liked River and Easton for each other. The plot of Enjoy the View was one of my favorites in the series- I loved all of the mountaineering and everything about Mount Veil. I was never bored during the book and I love how in every book, there's wildlife that plays a rather large part- I liked the marmot so, so much. Enjoy the View comes out on January 19th, so make sure you check it out then!

Thank you Netgalley and Sourcebooks- Casablanca for the advanced copy of Enjoy The View by Sarah Morgenthaler!
The Moose Springs, Alaska series has been a personal favorite of mine since I first picked up The Tourist Attraction this summer, and I was so excited to get my hands on this book, because Mistletoe and Mr. Right only made me that much more excited for Easton’s story.
This story had so many things I loved: a strong and determined heroine, a rugged but caring love interest, mountains and the great outdoors, and some high-stakes, life-threatening drama.
River is such a strong and determined woman, who still feels lost and like she’s not sure who she is supposed to be. And now onto Easton-- oh Easton-- he might make the list of my favorite book boyfriends ever. He was respectful, protective and just 🔥😍. I wanted his story after rescuing Zoey in the first book, and I loved him even more when both he and River expressed the importance of consent and boundaries. Their witty banter, undeniable chemistry and very easy and immediate connection just took their story to the next level.
One of my favorite parts of the story is the unique setting. For this adventure we ventured outside of Moose Springs and joined Easton, River and a few others as they try to summit Mt. Veil. The majority of the story takes place on the side of a mountain in the Alaska wilderness and I LOVED it. There was always a small undercurrent of danger and the amount of danger they actually faced had me on the edge of my seat without taking away from the fact that this was, first and foremost, a love story.
Overall I loved this book, and I might go so far as saying this it is my favorite of the Moose Springs series. These characters and their stories touched my heart and made me root for them, fall in love with them and want their happily ever after more than anything, which seemed
to be what was missing in the last book for me.
Enjoy The View is out Jan. 19th!!!

Enjoy the View - the third book in the Moose Springs series, this one featuring the sexy mountain man, Easton. Easton quickly became a well loved character in the other novels, thanks to his sweet and quiet personality. However, this is the third book from this series and I'm just so over them. I think I've rated all 3 of them 3 stars and I couldn't tell you which one I liked best or least. Maybe the first one because it felt original?
River is a well known actress trying to make it as a new director before her career is over for good. While trying to film, she meets Easton - the giant, sexy Hagrid like man who appears to be saving the day. When Easton becomes River's guide for hiking up a mountain for her documentary, the pair learn a lot about each other, and how similar their lives just may be.
I will say through all of these books, the writing of the scenery has left me swooning. Alaska has forever been a dream of mine and these books give me a little piece of that with their vivid descriptions and wildlife spotting. Now that I have read all 3 books, I think Easton may be the only character I thoroughly enjoyed and even he started to annoy me a bit. I just don't think these books worked for me. Maybe they were too YA? Maybe they felt repetitive, like grasping at straws to be original from one another? I have no idea, but it's a good thing they were easy reads or I wouldn't have finished them. If you want an easy, Alaskan inspired cutesy-romance but you aren't looking to be WOWED, maybe these are for you.

Just as wonderful as the rest of the series. I don’t know how Morgenthaler keeps writing male leads that make me fall head over heels and female leads I want to be best friends with but she’s got it down to a science!

This was really cute! River is competent and smart, and Easton has such a great personality. I loved that they bonded over their love of climbing, even if there were some misunderstandings and disagreements. I liked that this one didn’t focus as hard on the hatred of tourists, yes, that’s why she decides to climb the mountain for her documentary, but then most of the time is spent with Easton who doesn’t act like her being a tourist is abhorrent. Definitely loving this series, and hoping there’s more to come!

Enjoy The View (Moose Springs, Alaska #3)

** First, I’m going to start off by noting that this is one of my most anticipated releases for 2021 and I am so delighted to have been granted an e-arc to read and review ahead of the official release on January 19th, 2021 in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to @NetGalley and @Sourcebookscasa for this opportunity!! **
Out of favor Hollywood actress River Lane ventures to Moose Springs, Alaska in the hopes of making the jump to behind the camera work. She and her crew are to shoot a promo documentary for the Alaskan Tourism Board. Unfortunately for her, the locals are not a fan of outsiders. After steadfast resistance from the locals, River and her crew decide to take another tack and continue the documentary outside of town by embarking on a climb up Mount Veil. This is not some little day jaunt – in order to make it, they are forced to hire Easton Locket, the local, grouchy, professional mountaineer as their guide. Of course, nothing is ever straight forward and they are in for a lot of twists and turns.
I was so excited to visit Moose Springs and her many locals again, it was great to have the cameos of characters from earlier books in the series popping in and getting to see where they are at. Most of all, I was really happy to get to read Easton’s book – I have been curious about him since book 1, so it was great to delve in and see him fully developed and get inside his head.
Easton’s love interest, River, I had some mixed feelings on – I really loved them as a couple and was rooting for them, but she made me angry with some choices at certain points so…she gets knocked a few points in my estimation for messing with Easton 😜 Once again, I loved all the supporting characters as well (Jessie, Bree, Ben, and Ash), they weren’t the focus, but I wouldn’t be made to encounter them in later books.
One of the strong suits of Sarah Morgenthaler’s books for me (other than great characters, fun romcom story lines, and adorable animals), would have to be her ability to describe the setting so well. While reading, I feel like I’m there with the characters – experiencing the natural beauty and the adrenaline and fear of the adventures. The writing makes me want to get outside and hike (note I said hike, not climb! I have a healthy dose of respect for mother nature and my own abilities, or lack there of 🤣)
Some things I loved about the story would have to be the banter between characters (especially River and Easton), the marmot (no spoilers on that one), and the epic mountain climbing adventure. My wishes for the story would have to be more on some of the side characters (they are always so interesting in her books) and for River not to drive me quite as nuts with some of her choices (I know – essential for the story and added to it, but made me want to shake her!).
Overall, this was a wonderful read for me and well worth the wait. Easton’s story was everything I could have hoped for him; I felt like I got to finally peel back the layers on this character and that he truly met his other half. The story had Morgenthaler’s trademark humor and fun, I have never had any desire to visit Alaska until reading her books. Her books bring it to life and make me want to go there and see and experience it firsthand – I also really want to visit the fictional Moose Spring with all its residents. Such a wonderful escape – now I can only hope to have the chance to visit there once again. So pretty please let there be a book 4 – and please let it be about Ash and Killian!! 🤞🤞🤞

Rounding up from actual 4.5 star rating to 5 for the sake of the scale. I have loved the Moose Springs series since its inception with The Tourist Attraction. Morgenthaler is a master at creating witty banter between characters, which never gets old for me. Enjoy the View is probably my favorite book of the entire series. It felt somehow more real than the others, even though it was predictable (a common feeling I have for romance books). I had been waiting for Easton to be a main character, and he did not disappoint. Also, I keep finding myself wanting to go to Moose Springs, even though I know it's a fictional town. Thank you, Sourcebooks Casa for letting me read this one!

This third installment in the Moose Springs series was just as enjoyable as the previous book.
This installment has a stronger focus on mountain climbing. I enjoyed those elements, but it was a little bit more than I was hoping for.
The chemistry between River and Easton was a fun, yet very natural development for me. I really ended up enjoying both of them.
As always, the town of Moose Springs gives me a love em or hate em vibe, but I still had fun with this one.
If you like this author's writing style, I think you will enjoy this installment.

Oh man, this series just keeps getting better with each book. This one was a bit of a departure from the first two in that it primarily took place outside of Moose Springs, and it was a little more intense (as would be expected when climbing mountains in Alaska). Even though a lot of the book happened away from MS, we still got to see a lot of the characters we loved from the first two books (my favorite part of reading a series), and the author did a great job of balancing the added intensity with plenty of humor and witty banter. I think the critter character in this one may be my favorite of the three! I need an epilogue for the marmot and his HEA!

What an absolutely funny, adventurous, sappy, romantic story! I devoured this book in a little over a day, and hated to see it end as it had all the rom-com feelings and chemistry that I love.
There were so many laugh out loud and heartfelt moments throughout this story as River and crew attempted to make a documentary for the Alaskan tour board. I really can’t begin to tell you the amount of times I had to set this book down, because I was laughing so hard.
All the humorous moments along with the Mt. Veil climb and feeling surrounded by nature, kept the pace of the plot moving, but the full cast of characters are what brought this book home to my heart. They were there for each other, spunky and relatable. Basically they are the kind of people you want to hang out with, laugh with and hit the trials…well, in this case a mountain with. My favorite character will forever be the marmot (insert tons of laughter and a lot of “awe” moments).
Most of all I could relate to Easton and his animosity towards the tourists. I lived near Orlando, Florida for over 10 years, and I too found myself cursing their horrible driving, clogging up traffic, walking up to alligators to get selfies and the general chaos they bring with them, so I was laughing right along with those parts of the story too.
For those of you curious about the romance part; the story and romance took place during only a two week period, but it did not feel rushed. It wasn’t a love at first sight kind of romance. It was a slow, sweet and steamy build - the kind built on friendship and trust.
I’m so glad I picked up this book, and I cannot wait to dive into any of Sarah Morgenthaler’s future books!
Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.

What an enjoyable book!
River Lane is a former Hollywood actress who is working behind the camera instead. She is determined to make a documentary about the small town, Moose Springs, Alaska. Unfortunately for River, Moose Springs is very unwelcoming to tourists and even more unwelcoming to her documentary team. However, River isn't easily deterred. She is going to make this documentary one way or another.
The "one way" ends up being climbing a mountain! In comes the hero: handsome Easton Lockett as her guide.
This is the third book in a series, but the first that I have read. It worked fine as a stand-alone for me.
The characters are fun and the romance is cute. The mountain climbing with the snowy Alaskan setting added a lot of interest.

I had fun listening to The Tourist Attraction and Mistletoe & Mr. Right last month and was super excited to preview Enjoy the View! It was the perfect closed-door, forced-proximity romance for January. The author writes the cutest banter for her characters, and I think Easton is my favorite male lead from the series.
This story has the added drama of mostly taking place during a dangerous mountain climb. This differs from the first 2 books in the series, which include more local Moose Springs charm. The new setting adds an extra layer of adventure and excitement.
I know I'm not the only person who's hoping for more Moose Springs books from the publisher. At the very least, we need a story for Ash! I'd also like to see more about Jackson.
This title is out January 19th! Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for the digital advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

As soon as I read the Tourist Attraction I immediately wanted Eastons story. Who wouldn’t want to read about a big, bearded, mountain climbing, tracker, with a big heart? I couldn’t wait but let me tell you it really was worth the wait and more. Enjoy the View by Sarah Morgenthaler is the third book in the moose springs, Alaska series. River Lane is bent on making a name for herself behind the camera as much as she has in front of the camera. She is determined to make a documentary in Moose Springs, with her two best friends Bree and Jessie but the town refuses to accommodate any outsiders. Easton the mountain climbing tracker is hired by River and her crew to take them up Mount Veil aka The Old Man. I immediately got pulled into Easton and Rivers story. It was thrilling and funny and I couldn’t put the book down. I also couldn’t stop the tears at one point. This book is going into my personal top five. Well done and thank you Sarah!! #NetGalley

My first 5 star read of 2021!
Okay, I haven't read any of the other books in the series but I enjoyed the heck out of this one! Maybe I just really like bearded Alaskan men, I dunno, but this book made me smile, laugh, swoon, gasp, dig my nails into my palms, and google marmots. Random, but read the book, you'll understand, lol!
River could potentially be a hard heroine to like, but I found myself completely understanding her and her plight. I admired her drive, her ingenuity, and her heart.
Easton. Sigh. He was dreamy and rugged and smitten with River seemingly from the get go and I loved him in this book. Again, maybe I have a thing for bearded Alaskan men, but he was perfect.
I loved the humor and the little inside jokes, the excitement and adventure with climbing Mt Veil, and the conclusion and wrap up. Really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more about the residents of Moose Springs!

Enjoy the View is the third in the Moose Springs romance series by Sarah Morgenthaler. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. This novel took me a little longer to get into, but once it picked up, it really picked up. The main part of the story is of River, an actress trying to make a documentary, and Easton, a local guide, climbing the dangerous Mount Veil. Although the mountain is fictitious (I looked), it is described in vivid detail. I really enjoyed this one and hope she continues the series.

Sarah Morgenthaler continues her popular Moose Springs romance series with this adventurous new addition. Here, Hollywood starlet River Lane is in need of a career facelift, so she heads up to Moose Springs, Alaska with her film crew to make a tourism-boosting documentary about the area and this charming town. However, the locals are less than accommodating. She's determined to prove herself with this movie both for her career and to everyone that gets in her way, oh, and none of the quirky locals want anything to do with her. Except one. Easton Lockett, a side character in the author's previous books, is a survival expert and mountain guide, who's a big pile of mush underneath his rugged, outdoorsy facade. He's tasked with getting River and her crew up and down the mountain safely as they film the journey along the way. However, falling for her was not part of his plan and makes his job a lot tougher, but ultimately he can't shake their inevitable connection. I picked this book up right after finishing an all-consuming drama because I wanted something light, easy, frothy, cute, and fun, and this book gave me that. For those of you who loved the author's previous books in the series, you'll enjoy returning to Moose Springs and getting a deep-dive into the beloved side character, plus seeing both Graham+Zoey and Rick+Lana still have their HEAs is fun. Or if you, like me, are just jumping into the series, it totally stands on its own as a cute, wildernessy romance book. River and Easton start off at odds, which of course, but that allows for such fun banter. It has dual perspectives, full of easy, relatable, and indulgent language that draws you into the story. Trust me, once you get sucked into the action, you're all in on this read. These two have the sparks and banter, and it's beyond cute. Then, the ending is absolutely precious, sweeping, and cheesy romantic as all heck.

4 1/2 Stars
I fell in love with the town of Moose Springs and it's loveable characters in The Tourist Attraction and I've been to this series ever since.
Enjoy the View takes place in summer again and this time it's Easton's chance to find love. Easton is a rugged, bearded sasquatch sized man who loves to climb mountains. One day he finds a strange women, River walking along the side of the highway with a suitcase. Turns out River is trying to film a documentary on Moose Springs for the Alaskan tourism board but the town won't let her film there. She then comes up with a plan to climb Mt Veil and Easton just happens to be her guide.
I had mixed feelings about this book at the start because River often makes some infuriating self serving decisions. In the end I spent the last third of this book with my heart in my throat and tears in my eyes. We didn't see too much of the local Moose Springs residents in this one but just enough to appreciate them and their friendship with Easton. This is a fun romance for anyone who loves a mountain filled landscape and a sassy fun couple. And I loved the Marmot love element. I can't wait for the next book in the series and
I have a feeling the next book will be about Ash (Easton's twin sister) and a new character we were introduced to near the end of the book.
Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley.com for my eARC copy.

4.25 stars! I couldn't be expected to wait until January to read Enjoy the View, could I?! I requested an advance copy of the next book in the Moose Springs series without even reading the description. While The Tourist Attraction will always hold a special place, the series gets better and better with each new installment. And the third one, featuring Easton's story, had me cheering and swooning.
Graham's best bud, Easton, has been waiting for his turn and we finally get it! This mountain-climbing teddy bear is loyal and brave, but also has a silly side--which was so refreshing. He's met his match when fiery red-head River arrives in town with her crew to film a documentary. And the opening is one of the cutest meet-cute's ever.
Morgenthaler does a great job taking what the reader thinks will be a predictable romance story and giving it a twist. While there's plenty of slow-burn romance going on, Easton and River acknowledge their attraction from the start and don't fight it too hard. It's just difficult to make time for each other when you're climbing a mountain with a film crew in freezing temperatures. I loved their banter, their flirting, and how they always had each other's backs.
We get appearances from all our favorite side characters (including Easton's dare-devil sister Ash who needs her own story!) and lots of animal appearances, too, which Morgenthaler is great at. I mean, no one else can have me googling what a marmot is and then melting into a gooey puddle every time it wanders into a scene.
I can't think of any critiques for Enjoy the View. The characters are well-rounded with satisfying backstories and the plot is unique with the mountaineering angle--which I've never read in romance. I didn't get to read this one as quickly as I would have liked because... life, but that just means I get to reread it soon. Sarah Morgenthaler has been added to my must-read author list, and I hope she's planning more romances set in Moose Springs!

What a cute conclusion to the Moose Springs series! I've really enjoyed getting to know Easton throughout series and seeing him develop from a side character to a main character was awesome! I loved that the town as well as the mountain are basically characters in this story. I loved River I think she is my favourite female protagonist in this collection. So good! And such a trek to get the happy ever after!
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!
