Thanks to Netgalley and Sarah Morgenthaler for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
My favourite book of the Moose Spring series is Mistletoe and Mr Right, Unfortunately, I did not love this book like I was expecting myself to but it was still a nice read. Well, the second half was. I found the first half of this book really boring, the pace was way to slow for my liking and almost did not finish the book. I decided to persevere after I read a review by someone who felt the same way as me and she ended up liking the book, so I kept reading and I must admit that by the end of the book I got into the story and I couldn't stop reading.
River is one of the characters I enjoyed the most. She can be feisty, but also a sweetheart. She can stand up for herself and protect who and what she loves. I really enjoyed reading that protective aspect from both River and Eston. I loved Easton’s personality. River is that kind of character that you either love it or hate it.
I liked the fact that the author also gives a description of the environment and the description of their climb was interesting.
If you love a cute, light rom-com book, you should definitely give a go at the Moose Spring series!

Enjoy the View by Sarah Morgenthaler is a cute rom-com set in Alaska that comes out on January 19th!
This novel focuses on actress and filmmaker, River, and the local mountain guide, Easton. It’s cute, but a slow burn and pretty low on steam. I did enjoy the mountain climbing aspect and the details of the town. It’s the third installment of the Moose Springs, Alaska series, but can be read as a stand alone (which is what I did!).
Thanks to @netgalley for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

This is the third book set in Moose Springs, and I have loved every one. River Lane is a strong woman who is loyal and tenacious. Easton Lockett shares those same character traits. Although they have hugely different ways of life, they work together. They were both such great characters.
Once again, Sarah Morgenthaler's writing is hilarious. I laughed so hard that I had trouble catching my breath at the barn and the marmot. But that's balanced with a serious side that tugs at my heartstrings.
If you like low steam romances that give you hope and make you feel happy, you can't find better than this. I won't give spoilers about the ending. I'll just say it surprised and utterly delighted me.
Thank you so much to @sourcebookscasa and @netgalley for this book in exchange for my honest review.

The third book in the series is coming out very soon and I must admit that it’s my favourite of all of them.
Easton is a giant protector bear and River is a beautiful big city woman that needs to make a name for herself again after her bad luck with the Hollywood fame.
Small town romance full of great banter and some unexpected twists, it’s a story that shows how much a heart wants what it wants when least expected and how sometimes risking everything it’s worth it.
I did find River a bit too infatuated and her risking her life in the most stupid way was definitely not something that I agree with but hey, it’s fiction and it works perfectly in this story.

From the first moment I read the Tourist Attraction, I fell in love with Moose Springs and was ready to move to Alaska, well at least visit because this girl does not do snow that well. But if I can find myself a mountain man while there I am all in for it.
Enjoy the View is about River and Easton, River is aging out starlet who comes to Alsaka hoping to film the two of Moose Springs for the tourism board. But River didn't know is that Moose Springs doesn't want more tourists. So she has to come up with plan B.
Enter Easton, the friendly, but not so friendly looking, a mountain man who climbs mountains for a living. Easton is tasked with safely taking River and her two-man crew up Mount Veil "the Old Man" to shoot a documentary.
While on the mountain Easton and River develop more than a friendship, they start to fall in love.
Enjoy the View is a fun read, I enjoyed the back and forth between Easton and River. Add in a love cross between Easton, River, and a furry animal and I am here for it.
Thank you to both NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for providing me with the ARC of this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I LOVED this book. I'm a little surprised at how much, because I'm typically more of a "nice walk with the dog" than "scale a mountain" type of outdoors person. However, I couldn't put this book down. Morgenthaler has done an amazing job of bringing the mountain (and the climbing) to life- she obviously knows what she is writing about, but it never feels overly technical or laborious. And even with a lot of climbing and a fair bit of danger, Enjoy the View is a funny and sweet novel that makes you want to live in Moose Springs. I'm so grateful that I've discovered this series (Mistletoe and Mr Right is fantastic, too!), and I can't wait for the next book!

“Sometimes messy is the best part.” Enjoy The View by Sarah Morgenthaler
Late and last post of 2020 reads.
3 stars. Not a fave of mine of the serious. But still fun to read.
It’s mostly because of River. Couldn’t warm up to her, not like Lana or Zoey. Easton, no problem. Love him. River, meh. She’s ok but eh.
The story is again about an outsider (River) trying time do something to improve Moose Springs. And River doesn’t get far with this project. Then she decided to tackle The Veil. And who do you hire to take you up the mountain? Easton.
I’m glad to see Graham and Zoey again. And Rick and Lana. Hope we see the story of Ash and Jax soon...though it doesn’t have to be them together. Or together. Just as long as we see more of the Moose Springs gang.
Thank you Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for the arc of this book.

Thank you to #Netgalley and #SourcebooksCasablanca for providing me with this eARC for my honest review.
I loved this story so much. I have been waiting for Easton’s story since the tourist attraction and this did not disappoint. I loved how well River and He just worked. I thought that I wasn’t going to like her at first, but I loved her and their relationship. I loved that we also got to see into Zoey and Graham's life too and catch up on what they are up to! I love the way Sarah is able to write these characters so everything seems so relatable and just real. The connection is instant for most of these characters, but it is so believable that you forget the characters aren’t real. I loved this one and I hope we get a story with Ash!
Easton is from Moose Springs Alaska and he like the rest of the town HATE tourists. So, the last thing he wants to do is help someone film a documentary of his town to attract more tourists. River is aging out of Hollywood, as she is only 30, she is determined to start a career behind the camera instead of in front of it. So, she and her crew travel to Moose Springs, AL to film a wildlife and tourism documentary but at every turn, she is getting further and further away from her permits as the town is doing everything, so they aren’t able to film. Finally, Easton has to take them up Mt Veil so they can film up there. As they spend more time together, they realize that they aren’t enemies, but they have an attraction to one another. Will, it just be a summer fling or will it last?

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca & Netgalley for the ARC of this book.
This book is the third installment of the Moose Springs book series and while you don’t need to read them in order I highly suggest you do because the series is adorable and fun and really just an enjoyment to read.
The third book focuses on Easton Lockett & starlet River Lane. I think we all knew it was time for Easton to have his own book because he’s been the lovable side character we’re all rooting for and the book does not disappoint. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but it is as action packed and mountain-y as you would expect with Easton.
I gave this book four stars mainly because while it is still a romance novel its definitely a cut above your average book in this genre. Morgenthaler likes to feature strong, kick ass women and respectful men which I am totally here for. Not only that but her characters are so genuine that it feels like you know someone like them. Is there some cheese? Of course (it’s a romance novel!) but they also poke fun at the cheese which makes this book 100 times more enjoyable.
Hoping there is a FOURTH book on the horizon (I’m getting an Ash/Jackson vibe) but if there isn’t I’m content enough to know that I was treated to a Locket/Lane/Marmot love triangle.

First off, thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I quite enjoyed this book. This is the third book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series but I haven’t read the other two books. Despite, this book was enjoyable even as a standalone; I didn’t feel like I was missing information.
What I liked:
- The furry friends along the way.
We met a cute little marmot that followed them on most of the journey and was infatuated with Easton (I know the feeling, girl). I found it an adorable addition. And I learned what a marmot was! (It’s basically a beaver) There was also Jake, the adorable, blind dog that had a cute scene toward the end.
- The slow burn.
Easton and River had so much chemistry. I really liked the attention the author gave to build their relationship and the tension between them. It would have been real easy for the author to turn this into an instalove because of the great “when are they gonna” tension that the two had since the beginning, but it didn’t go that way. We had a lot of hilarious banter and a good frenemies to lovers arc. We got to experience the two slowly falling in love while experiencing dangerous situations while climbing Mount Veil which made it so satisfactory when they got together.
- The sunshine/grump character juxtaposition.
I just love this trope. One character is a grump on the outside but it secretly a cinnamon roll on the inside. Plus one point if it’s the man. Double the points if he’s also tall or a certified “manly man”. It makes the banter so great, especially when the grump is exasperated at the sunshine character, but secretly loves it. There were many moments when Easton would be thrown by River but would secretly like it. Such a great trope.
What I’m lukewarm about:
- The lack of description of setting.
Last year, I read The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker and fell in love with the author’s ability to make me feel like I was experiencing Alaska. I learned so much about Alaska through that book and it seriously made me want to visit it some day. This book, however, I even forgot at times that they were supposed to be in Alaska. It was just like: here’s a mountain! Most of this book is set on a mountain and there isn’t much description about it other than “mountain dangerous”. There also wasn’t a lot of describing how life was in Moose Springs or even the surroundings. I would have liked more of that to make me feel like I was experiencing Alaska for the first time alongside the main character.
What I didn’t care for:
Surprisingly, there wasn’t much I didn’t like about this book. There were a couple things though…
- The recklessness of the main character.
This is one of the things I hate when a character does: when they have no sense of self-preservation. The main plot of the book is River and her team are in Moose Springs to film a documentary and they want to climb this notoriously dangerous mountain. Easton warns them again and again that it has a high mortality rate if not careful. When they’re on their climb, she unclips herself to save their videocamera. Yes. To save a camera. I can’t tell you how mad I got. It’s not only that, but other times when Easton warned her something is dangerous, she would want to do even more. It was irksome to say the least.
- The celebrity aspect.
I couldn’t really tell just how famous River was in this. On one hand, she’s big enough that paparazzi would follow her all the way to Alaska and take secret shots of her. But also many people in Moose Springs didn’t know her or just treated her normally? I just couldn’t tell how famous she was supposed to be. Also, if she was big enough to have paparazzi following her, wouldn’t she have a manager or PR that would keep in contact with her? She lived just normally while she was there. I even forgot she was supposed to be “famous”.
Overall, it was a cute read and I enjoyed it, especially the ending. I cared more for the love interest, Easton, than for River. Reading about the other characters made me want to read the other two books in the series where their stories were told.

This is the story of River, a flailing actress trying to save her career, and Easton, a giant teddy bear of a man who agrees to guide River and her crew up a treacherous mountain. I really enjoyed this one. Although it was a fresh new storyline, Morgenthaler still gave us the joy of revisiting our favorite characters in Moose Springs. This book was much more adventurous and serious than the previous two, but with the same banter and Moose Springs charm. Easton and River have AMAZING chemistry! They were a little insta-love for me, but they owned it and it was still fun to watch their friendship develop. I think I like Easton the most of all the Moose Springs fellas, and honestly River is probably my favorite leading lady too! Each book in the series keeps getting better. I’m hoping Ash’s story is coming SOON! Ash + Jax maybe?!

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for an opportunity to read Enjoy The View !
What I loved:
💟 The love struck marmot may be my favourite character in the whole book 🤣 if not the whole series! I was literally laughing out loud anytime she (?) made an appearance!
What I liked:
✔️ This series has been getting better with every book and this is my favourite by far ( mostly the marmot, 🤣) I love the high action adventure Mountain climbing ( I’d ever do it mind you) and the chemistry and banter between the characters .
What I didn’t like:
✖️how the trio of documentary makers just didn’t seem to be taking the very dangerous climb and surroundings seriously. I dunno why but their attitude just rubbed me the wrong way.

If you’ve been reading the Moose Springs series, then you’ll likely remember Easton, the big teddy bear of a character that is mentioned in the first two books. This book follows Easton and River Lane, an actress (“former Hollywood darling”) who arrives at Moose Springs to film a documentary on the town for an Alaska tourism nonprofit organization. River arrives and deals with all the negativity that the natives of Moose Springs bring on in both other books in the series. River has something to prove though, and nothing is going to stop her from exploring the best parts of Moose Springs. Easton encounters a challenging trip with River and her film crew while taking them up Mount Veil. Of course, this leads Easton to falling for River, which creates issues for Easton while trying to make sure everyone makes this trip safely.
True to form with the other books in the series, this is a fun romance book with all the regularly drama.

This is my first time reading a book by Sarah Morgenthaler and I adored it. This is the third book in a series, but can be read as a standalone - which is what I did. I had no problem following along and didnt feel like I was missing out on anything.
River Lane is an actress who refuses to be aged out of Hollywood. Intending to prove she is valuable and can wear multiple hats, she has decided to direct and produce a tourism documentary about Moose Springs, Alaska.
Once in Alaska, she hits every roadblock imaginable (the town doesn't like outsiders very much). Her last resort is entrusting Easton Lockett and climbing Mount Veil. River, her crew and Easton head out on their voyage. Here they come across promising views for shooting, quirky animals and confronting one's self as well as danger.
Now that the filming is complete, Easton isn't ready to see her go. You'll definitely have to check this book out to find out what happens.
Thank you Netgalley and Casablanca Sourcebooks for the opportunity to read this!

Thanks to Partner NetGalley and Gallery Books for the digital ARC of Sarah Morgenthaler’s Enjoy the View in exchange for an honest review. The book will be published on Tuesday, January 19.
Sarah Morgenthaler’s Moose Springs, Alaska series has been one of the joyful reads of 2020 for me. Beginning with The Tourist Attraction and continuing with Mistletoe and Mr. Right, Morgenthaler has built a world centered on authentic friendship, gentle humor, and adorable animals. In books one and two, the central relationships reveal characters’ complexities and quirks, and the love happens *because* the characters understand each other, even when they don’t agree.
Book three, Enjoy the View, is a gorgeous cap on the trilogy. Easton Lockett, a well-established character from the previous books, is a gentle giant, a skilled mountain man, and a faithful friend. He and his twin sister Ash are anchors for the friend group who populates the earlier stories. In this novel, his meet cute with River Lane, a 30-year-old movie actress-turned-director, happens when he insists on helping the lone woman walking by the side of the road with her suitcase. When he discovers that he ruined the film shoot for her documentary about Moose Springs, he’s drafted into preventing other helpful Moose Springs citizens from interrupting her stroll by the side of the road . . . and then, eventually, into guiding her and her film crew in climbing Mount Veil, the daunting Old Man that looms over Moose Springs.
River is independent, dedicated to rehabilitating her career, and obsessed with climbing. As she and Easton journey up the mountain, they come to understand each other and to find a mutual affinity for climbing, risk taking, and nature. But can they, at their cores, find common ground when Easton is so firmly attached to his home and River is determined to find success in Hollywood?
As in the previous books, I love the conflict—never fully resolved—about just how good tourism might be for the small town of Moose Springs. The exploration of its pros and cons is thoughtful and avoids easy answers. I also appreciated Morgenthaler’s vivid descriptions of mountain climbing, both the perils and the triumphs, and of Easton and River’s growing feelings for each other.
Enjoy the View would work as a stand alone, but I would highly recommend beginning with book one and doing a deep dive into the isolated world of Moose Springs.

By far my favorite of the three Moose Springs titles! I loved the chemistry between River and Easton, and I enjoyed that the majority of this book didn't actually take place in Moose Springs. The idea of the cantankerous locals was a huge focal point to the second book in this series, so it was refreshing to follow Easton and River as they explored what else the Alaskan wilderness has to offer. As someone who knows very very little about climbing in subzero temperatures, I appreciated that there was just enough information for their ascent to sound believable, but not so much information that I was bogged down by things I don't really understand (do I need to know how crampons work? No--it was enough for me that they were mentioned). Overall, a wonderful addition to the Moose Springs, Alaska series.

What do you get when you put a Hollywood star in front of a mountain man? Enjoy the View by Sarah Morgenthaler, of course! When River decides to take on the challenge of filming a documentary to save her career, she is sent to Moose Springs, Alaska where she encounters what others before her have failed. While everyone in town causes trouble and puts up roadblocks in her path, Easton quickly becomes an ally she needs. The great adventure to climb Mount Veil leaves you with all the goosebumps and not just because it’s cold. You have adventure, challenges and along the way find yourself falling in love. Both with the story and the characters. This was my first book of this series, that I received as an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley, but I don’t feel like I missed out on anything. I’m actually looking forward to reading the previous two books now!

Enjoy The View is the 3rd book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series. I was very excited to get Eastons book! I just knew it would be a good story. I was obsessed with him since book 1.
This book did not disappoint me.
Easton was even better than I could have imagined.
We get to meet River Lane a sassy, bad ass red head who gives Easton a run for his money.
I loved the banter between all the characters and I have to say this one might be my favorite of all 3.
I’m really loving this series, the small town makes it that much more interesting. It’s what keeps me from coming back to books.
It makes me want to visit Alaska ASAP.
I highly recommend this series if you haven’t already started it. This can definitely be read as a stand alone too.
Thank you netgalley and sourcebooks for the earc of this book!

Enjoy the View was my introduction to Sarah Morgenthaler's Alaskan stories, but I will be seeking out the prior titles! The backdrop of Alaska brings this fun romance to an extremely original vantage, and I want more.

This book was good, but there were definitely some things lacking for me (mostly in the romance department). But, I enjoyed most of this book.
I really liked the characters in this book, but especially one of the main characters, River. She was bold and tough and stood up for what she believed in (even if she was wrong). She definitely had a strong, stubborn streak in her, but that just made things that much more interesting. I also really loved the constant-ness and support that came with Easton. I didn't expect him to be so soft and a little shy. It was a fun contrast to River's personality.
The plot in and of itself was fun and exciting. I felt like the balance between the time spent in Moose Springs and the time spent climbing Mount Veil was pretty good. I didn't get bored and feel like anything was overdone which was nice.
The romance was lacking in my opinion. From the very beginning, the characters recognize that they like each other (which is fine), and they tell each other that they're attracted to each other (which...okay. fine. I can live with it.), but then there's no romantic tension. They just like each other and kiss and support each other and...that's... it? There was a small conflict in the relationship at the end, but even that was weak. There was just so much that could have been done with their relationship but wasn't. *sigh* That was the most disappointing part for me.
Overall, while there were some things lacking, I enjoyed reading this one. I really want to go back and read the other two books in this series now that I've gotten a taste of the other characters and relationships.
