This was another cute addition to the Moose Springs series, one of my new favorite fictional towns after devouring these books! My favorite part of the story: the marmot. 100%. Too cute! This book felt more serious and definitely had more suspense and crisis than the previous books, though the growing attraction and the chemistry between River and Easton was just what I've come to expect from Morgenthaler. I did, however, sometimes struggle with River's decision making as she made clearly dangerous choices for the sake of her film or her own desires, putting others potentially at risk in the process - it came off as selfish and reckless, which would have been ok maybe once or twice, but happened enough times that I got a bit frustrated with her. However, I loved the banter between River and Easton, I loved the beginning of their story and the ending of the book as they learned that they could find a way to be together. And while this book wasn't quite as humorous and cuddly as the others in the series given the high stakes backdrop of the mountain climb, it worked well as a scenario to bring them closer together in a short period of time. In all, I enjoyed this latest Moose Springs read and the always entertaining characters!

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca & NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

’ve been loving this series, and I highly recommend them for a light, fun read with great banter and hilarious shenanigans. Women’s fiction, rom-com, low steam. Usually, steam is mandatory for my tastes, but I find I don’t mind with great writing and adventures to be had.

The perfect addition to the series! So happy I got to read and fall in love with these books. I've even gifted the books to my friends because they were such a delight to read!

Thanks so much to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review! I was excited to read this and received the arc shortly after finishing the second book in the series. Unfortunately, the series is becoming a bit formulaic and I had a hard time getting into this book. I enjoyed the first two books but at this point I was hoping for something a little different. About 3/4 of the way through I started becoming more invested and I ultimately enjoyed the ending. I’d still definitely recommend this book to others who enjoy the moose springs books.

This book was not everything I was hoping it would be.

Though I shouldn't be too surprised seeing as I didn't adore the first book in the series I still found it had its moments here and there so decided to give this one a try.

Having become enamoured with Alaska as a place I wanted to read any and every book I could get my hands on set in Alaska. This one however just falls a bit short for me. The writing style just was a bit too hard for me to get through and I found myself having to actively read every word very carefully to ensure I was understanding what was going on, the chapters would also then just begin to drag and I found it really hard to finish.

I loved getting to see the characters from throughout the series again but with this particular couple, they didn't really capture me. I just felt like they had so much potential but didn't really live up to my expectations.

Did love the backdrop of small-town Alaska though so this series definitely has that going for it I just don't think this was really a win in my eyes.

I really enjoy Sarah’s stories, I just wish they packed a little more punch and angst. I enjoyed this one more than the second, but not as much as the first!

This is a great installment for the series. I always have such a good time reading about Moose Lodge and what’s happening with previous characters. This one isn’t my favorite in the series but I still really enjoyed it!

I LOVED THIS ONE. Cute, fun, with a lot of heart. I really enjoyed this author's writing too, and I feel like I know just the type of customer to recommend it to.

A cute and consistent series. I enjoyed the first two installments a lot, and especially the second one. This one keeps the same groove, and it's a cute love story. Recommend for an easy and relaxing read.

Having loved the first two books, I was really excited for this one but it just did not work for me. Will try to reread again in a few months when I buy myself a copy!

This book was such a delight, and just the cosy romance I needed right now! Even though being stuck on an icy mountain is my idea of a nightmare, I loved the Alaskan setting and adored all the small town hijinks. The romance is delightful and the characters are a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

A grouchy mountaineer, a Hollywood starlet
And miles of untamed wilderness...
What could possibly go wrong?

Former Hollywood darling River Lane's acting career is tanking fast. Determined to start fresh behind the camera, she agrees to film a documentary about the picturesque small town of Moose Springs, Alaska. The assignment should have been easy, but the quirky locals want nothing to do with River. Well, too bad: River's going to make this film and prove herself, no matter what it takes.

Or what (literal) mountain she has to climb.

Easton Lockett may be a gentle giant, but he knows a thing or two about survival. If he can keep everyone in line, he should be able to get River and her crew up and down Mount Veil in one piece. Turns out that's a big if. The wildlife's wilder than usual, the camera crew's determined to wander off a cliff, and the gorgeous actress is fearless. Falling for River only makes Easton's job tougher, but there's only so long he can hold out against her brilliant smile. When bad weather strikes, putting everyone at risk, it'll take all of Easton's skill to get them back home safely...and convince River she should stay in his arms for good.

River is a former Hollywood starlet whose acting career has taken a nosedive. Hoping to rejuvenate her career she takes an assignment to film a documentary in Moose Springs, Alaska. She has a fun and quirky meet cute with Easton, a burly good boy type survival expert. The peoe of Moose Springs want nothing to do with River's documentary so she changes tactics again.

Climb Mount View (a sometimes deadly activity) with Easton as her guide.

The writing style was really fun, it had a readable rom com type of feel that made for a quick and easy read. However once the climbing started it got much more serious and survival themed than I liked. And River was a completely insufferable character.

She was the complete stereotype of a "starlet." Selfish and entitled and willing to risk other people's literal lives just so she could climb the mountain.

This was a case of the heroine completely ruined this book for me sadly.

I received an arc of this book in exchange for my honest review.

2.5 stars

Although I enjoyed this more than the second book, the couples get together (or at least know there’s something there) way too quick for my liking so I end up losing interest. Also, this has much more of a survival story element to it which is not my style. The characters made a lot of dumb, dangerous decisions. But there were improvements here in the writing style and cutting down on repetitive nicknames.

I am so completely obsessed with Sarah Morgenthaler's Moose Springs series, I can't even fully put it into words! I devoured all three of these books in a matter of a week. While "Enjoy the View" wasn't my favorite of the series (the first book holds that title for me), it was such an interesting departure from the rest of the series, I love it in a completely different way than I love the other two. I loved the adventure/outdoor element to this book, and I learned a lot about climbing as a sport -- something I never expected when picking up a romance novel! It had my heart racing at several points, and not because of the romance -- because of the action! Can't wait for more from this author. I hope we get more Moose Springs!

I loved all the climbing references. To me, this felt the most "Alaska" and scenic of the three. I loved the descriptions, the views, and the challenges of mountain climbing in these conditions.

River and Easton were such a great match, I loved their clear oppositions of personalities and how well they fit together.

I loved the appearances and references from the other characters from the previous two books - thank you so much for my advanced copy!!

Enjoy The View is the third book in the Moose Springs series, a contemporary romance about a small town in Alaska that seems to collectively hate strangers. In this book, Easton Lockett stops on the side of the road to check on a tourist… and he ends up caught up in the documentary filming adventures of former actress River Lane.

River, Easton and their crew end up climbing Mount Veil together, and sparks fly between River and Easton right away.

This is a sweet contemporary romance with minimal steam, but lots of outdoor adventures. And don’t be fooled: The dog on the cover appears very minimally.

I give this book 3.5 stars. It was perfectly lovely, but I don’t feel any drive to read the rest of these books in this series.

CONTENT WARNINGS: Descriptions of serious injuries; discussion of amputation

WHAT I LIKED

- Unlike some contemporary romances, it was clear that there were sparks between River and Easton from the beginning, so I was happy to see that play out on Mount Veil.
- I’m not a mountain climber, and generally, I hate the outdoors, but the author did her research and made this seem very realistic. Maybe she got it all wrong – how would I know? But I believed it.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE

- Someone somewhere implied this was a steamy romance, but I would say there’s hardly any steam at all. The romance was very sweet, but I prefer my romances with a little more kick to them.
- River is… exhausting. She literally almost falls off a mountain to save her camera, and then she yells at Easton for doing what he has to do to rescue her. I just… Exhausting.

Easton + River, what a pair! These two had me hooked from their chance meet-up at the side of the road to their heartwarming northern Alaska happy ending! Seriously though, I haven't really read very many contemporary books that are set up north and I loved learning about the climbing and the mountain town living. The story line was good but I really think its the characters' personalities that really shine in this book. Highly recommend!

I give this series a 3 star because while there was a decent plot and we'll developed characters, the book was too slow paced for me and therefore making the book boring. I had to fight to keep my eyes open and that is a really bad sign.
