Love love love the narrators on this book!!! They are absolutely perfect for this story and I found their voices so soothing.
I really enjoyed this book but due to netgalley's audio book app the book stopped every few mins and would jump from chapter to chapter and I would have to try and figure out where I was so I think may have missed some chapters but I'm keen to buy this in audible so I can re listen to it

Oh Wow!! This book was great! Absolutely not what I expected. Sometimes books that have multiple narrators and go back and forth in the store become confusing. Not this book. It was well written for all three POVs. I was kept guessing until the very end and still ended up so shocked with the twist. And let's just say one of the voices was so super creepy that I had to stop listening when I was home alone!

*received audiobook for free from netgalley for honest review* I really liked the voice distortion in the audiobook, I think it really adds a lot to it tbh, the story is interesting and I wouldn't mind rereading it too

One of my favorites this summer! Finished in 2 days; couldn't turn it off.
Enjoyed hearing the story from different character's point of views; along with all the suspense, twists & turns. Kept me guessing til the very end & I was still shocked.
Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys suspenseful, psychological thrillers that keep you guessing.
Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to listen & review this book.

“There is a curtain we all hide behind; the only difference is who pulls it aside. Some people can do it themselves, while others need someone else to reveal the truth about who they really are.”
The story is told alternately by BBC news presenter, Anna Andrews, DCI Jack Harper and an unknown individual.
A murdered woman’s body is found in a small town where Anna grew up. Jack is investigating the crime and Anna is covering the story. Both are somehow connected to the victim. Each tell their story. Should we believe him or her?
Because,
"There are at least two sides to every story:
Yours and mine.
Ours and theirs.
His and hers.
Which means someone is always lying."
His and Hers is a murder mystery that without doubt would have been a 5 star read for me if the characters’ inner thoughts, soliloquies, philosophizing were not repeated over and over and the mentioning of what everyone wore, their hair color, size of their feet, etc. and their feelings regarding certain circumstances were limited to only once. All the characters do is talk, talk and talk. In the cases as this that the narration of the story is in first person all throughout the book, the constant babbling becomes grating and tedious.
I listened to the audio book version narrated by Richard Armitage (AKA the love of my life) and
Stephanie Racine who did a pretty good job.
If I was reading the e-book, most likely I would have DNF-ed it or read only the last paragraph of each chapter.
Thanks to the author, Macmillan audio and the NetGalley for providing me with the book.

His & Hers by Alice Feeney is an absolutely pulse-pounding, mind-boggling, continuously twisting story full of red herrings and constant tension. It is a rollercoaster ride that is not for the faint of heart and has its fair share of dark, difficult, and disturbing issues. But it’s undeniably clever, cunning and brilliant, if unsettling.
The narrators for the audio version of this story are perfect for the parts they play and so believable you feel as if you are living this mysterious nightmare right along with them. I will admit that the altered voice was a bit difficult to understand, but it did add the perfect creep-factor to the story.
Though troubling, this thriller still managed to have an important cautionary message alongside the thrill of the mystery. The conclusion was thorough and well-explained, while also being sinister and shocking, making for a captivating story. His & Hers is another win for Alice Feeney.

Literally had no idea what was going on the entire time. I am a huge fan of the author and yet just couldn’t figure it out. There’s a stalker, I’m thinking. And then two additional people. But then the story line is all over. I followed it through to the end but honestly would fail a test on specifics it was not a good story line, character building or interesting at all. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

It was so lovely to be provided with an early release audio-copy. How fun!
I also had an e-copy of this ARC and have post a full review of that to this site, as well as Goodreads and my personal blog.
I listen to a lot of audiobooks. Frankly, that is how I am able to read so many books.
I believe, listening to this and following up in my e-copy, that some of the formatting is off in this audiobook copy, but I am sure you are already aware of that. If I recall correctly, some of the mystery perspective bits are missing from the audio that I had in my e-copy.
The speed of this, at regular speed, is beyond anything natural slow. I listened to this at 1.75x and it was perfect. I am aware that most audiobooks are slow, but generally I listen around 1.4x to 1.6x.
I did really enjoy the narrators. Both Anna and Jack were excellent and I did enjoy the creepy-feel of the mystery perspective.
Overall, I think this is a well-done audiobook and don't anticipate any reader having complaints about it. Good luck with release and thank you for providing audiobooks to NetGalley!

4 Stars - Great job Alice Feeney.
This is my first audiobook from NetGalley shelf. Thank you very much.
I don't want to give too many details because you need to read this book.
Anna Andews finally almost has want she wants. Jack Harper left Backdown for a reason. Blackdown their home town has a murder, several of them. Who did it him or her. There are 2 sides to every story. Someone isn't telling the true. Alternating between Anna's and Jack's points of view. Very fast paced, complex, will keep you guessing until the very end.
I hope you all enjoy this book Thank you NetGalley.

His & hers is so good. It will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end. As soon as you think you’ve figured it out you will be wrong. Everyone seems like they could be guilty. This is a great thriller.
Richard Amritage and Stephanie Racine did a great job narrating. The only thing was the disguised voice was difficult to understand at times, but I liked that they disguised the voice.
I recommend this to anyone that likes thrillers. Warning there is rape in this book.
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

His and Hers by Alice Feeney was the best who done it I’ve gotten my hands on in a long time! I can usually figure out the “Who” by the end of the book. Not this time! I love being fooled and it kept me hanging until the very end. My thanks to NetGalley the author and her publisher for letting me listen to an advanced copy of His and Hers

Thank you Netgalley for this audio book that had me scared at many points throughout the book. I love physical books and they are by far by favorite way to read, but there’s something to be said about hearing a book played out with voices. Maybe it’s set in Ireland and the person telling the story has an Irish accent, or in this case the scary killer has a computer generated scare you deep in your soul voice. Audio books can be played while you drive, while you’re working, and boy do they help making cleaning your house more enjoyable! Well if you want to be creped out, might I suggest His & Hers? The story goes back and forth between his story, then back to hers. (Hence the name of the book) This book will be available July 28th
Hers- Thirty six year old Anna who works for the BBC as a reporter
His- Anna’s ex husband, DCI Jack Harper
Third Voice- The killer.
So many secrets you’ll be on the edge of your seat trying to figure everything out. Who’s the killer, who is the next victim and why does everyone seem to be lying? Who can you trust?

His & Hers lived up to the previous work of Alice Feeney! All of her novels have been outstanding for me. Any thriller that surprises you at the very end like this one did, is a winner! I was so back and forth the whole time on who I thought did it... I just did not see that one coming!! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good psychological thriller that will keep you at the edge of your seat.
The narrators were fantastic in delivering the two sides of this story. And the mysterious third voice that was not revealed to the end added just that extra something to the suspense of it all! The pace and overall delivery was good also.
This story is a puzzle that slowly unraveled and kept me guessing over and over again till the end. Feeney expertly left just enough room for suspicion to creep back in every time I thought I had it figured out. It was just so twisted, in the right way! The two points of view, horrific details of each murder, and the manipulation that occurred in the flashbacks to Anna's teenage years, all painted a brilliant picture that you couldn't help but get caught up in.
Thank you to Flatiron Books for my copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

His & Hers is a story written in a 2 person POV (point of view) and is narrated as such by two performers: Richard Armitage and Stephanie Racine. Their work is amazing and their narration encouraged me to keep listening. Their tone, pace, and pitch were perfect. Their voices drew me in and kept me engaged. The British accents suited the story as it dos take place in London and a small British village.
Not only did I enjoy the narration, the story also grabbed my attention and kept it. The author, Alice Feeney, is new to me and she definitely converted me to her work. Her story kept me interested throughout: her pacing is good and she left clues and tidbits throughout the story, encouraging me to try and solve the mystery. Often I felt I had guessed the outcome – and was confident with my thought processes. Yet she still managed to surprise me in the end! I loved that.
If you enjoy smart and twisty psychological thrillers that will keep you guessing, this novel is for you. If audiobooks are not your preference, reading the story would still be enjoyable as the images created in your mind with the author’s words would still be effective.

I've seen this book everywhere, and I was looking forward to listening to the audiobook version. Thanks to #Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a review copy.
From the start, I didn't enjoy the audiobook. The voice of the male narrator was not pleasant to listen to, and I found it quite heavy going.
From there, the female character went into a stream of minutiae that I found a real turn off. I persisted with the book for as long as I could, but unfortunately, I had to put this on the DNF pile. It had a lot of promise, but the book and the narration didn't live up to it..

His and Hers by Alice Feeney is told from multiple points of view. The "her" is Anna Andrews a tv personality and the "him" is Jack Harper a cop. They are brought together because of the death of a young woman. Interestingly enough there is another person narrating some snippets of the story, the killer. The killer's perspective allows for some understanding as to why these murders had to happen and maybe creates some sympathy for the killer. As His and Hers progresses, more women end up dead then you learn about the women's connections. His and Hers is thrilling and addictive. You want to know who is the killer and the suspects keep changing. The conclusion is not outlandish or expected. The story though, does not have two sides as described, but three sides - his, hers, and the truth.
The narration of the His and Hers is easy to follow (possibly even a little slow) for the main characters' voices. The third character voice is muffled and strange-sounding on the recording, but this does allow for easy to differentiation. The voice sounds like it was recorded with a voice changer.
*Although I was allowed a preview of this audiobook from NetGalley, all thoughts are my own.

I was given this free review copy audio at my request and have voluntarily left this review. His & Hers by Alice Feeney pulled me in immediately. I was intrigued by the POV switches between the murderer and the main characters. It was interesting to hear the events from different POVs. The feelings and thoughts of others really change the mood of a situation. The twists in this book were amazing. I did not see them coming and those are the best kind. I cannot wait to read more by this author.

Wow, wow, wow.
.
Ladies and gentleman, this is how you do a psychological thriller. I am stunned. In the best way possible.
.
I’m not going to go into detail, as to not spoil anything. The three narratives were flawless. The past and present...seamless. I adored it.
.
There was a point in the story where I was like. Huh...I never guess the killer. I can’t believe I did so with this novel 🤔. Ummmm, Amy, you didn’t guess. The twist was amazingly well done.
.
I will highly recommend this novel. In addition the narration was fabulous. Absolutely perfect. I could not have loved it more.

I received this complimentary audiobook from NetGalley and Macmillan Audio in exchange for an unbiased review.
I found the narrators of this audiobook brilliant in their roles as story tellers. The story alternates between His and Hers POV plus a creepy “other” character who seems to know the whole story.
She is Anna Andrews a woman who feels like she has worked hard to achieve her dream job as BBC news bulletin reporter. Since she has been filling in for Cat who had been out on maternity leave for 2 years she had not imagined that Cat would return and want to resume her position. She was deflated when she was demoted back to news correspondent especially given all she has lost over the years. She is not a reliable narrator given her alcohol abuse with related memory issues and tendency to twist the truth. Anna is not happy when she is instructed by Cat to return to her hometown of Blackdown to cover a recent murder.
He is Detective Jack Harper the head of the major crime department in Blackdown. After his divorce he finds himself doing things he never would imagined. It’s only when he is called to a crime scene to discover his recognizes the victim does his reckless actions come full circle. He realizes that he will become a suspect if it’s discovered that he was with her that night. When he thinks his situation can’t get more complicated he sees that Anna Andrews is covering the story for the BBC.
It seems both Anna and Jack know the victim as well as the next woman who turns up dead. The workings of a serial killer keeps Anna in Blackdown much longer than she had hoped. The additional murders bring back past memories which they had buried in the past.
There are so many moving parts of this fast paced story. There are many characters who appear to be likely suspects until another character seems to have a better motive. Usually a good crime novel involves expecting the unexpected. Well, this novel goes way beyond that theory so much that right until the end there are still many working theories of the suspect. It wraps up in a manner which makes sense but with no direct correlation throughout the novel to lead you to this conclusion!

*May thanks to Alice Feeney, Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.*
The story of the investigation is told through his words, her words and words of the third narrator whose voice is deliberately distorted. It was a comfotable listen for me, not that might sweep me off my feet, though. Anna seems to be like a woman with lots of problems and ideas that I would not find convincing in a mature character. DCI Harper is a little better developed voice, however, I did not warm up to him. A good read, not superb, though.
The readers are perfect, and I would have rated this book higher but for problems with the application which stopped much too often and got into the pleasure of following the story. I am not sure whether it was my fault or if I should blame the application itself, but for the time being I am skeptical regarding another request of an audiobook.
