Another great Hallmark Christmas book. It is very easy to visualize this book as a Hallmark movie.
All the elements of a good Christmas book embody this book. Love lost, plans not going as thought they would, Christmas in a hometown, a long lost boyfriend, and a mysterious gift that predicts the future are all factors that make for a great Christmas read.
I highly recommend this book and you will not want to miss reading this.
Special thanks to Hallmark Publishers and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book.

Teri Wilson is quickly becoming one of my go-to Christmas authors that are a must-read. I love the whole idea of a magic charm bracelet. For me it made the story of boy-girl meet up again after a disastrous breakup into something fun and new. I really hope a movie is in the future.
Is the cover not beautiful??? It drew me in immediately and made me want to dive right in and experience Christmas in Owl Lake.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher, Hallmark Publishing, through NetGalley. Any opinions expressed in the above review are entirely my own.

I finished it in a day. It every page had you hoping that someone would shake the main characters and tell them to open their eyes and see what is in front of them! This book gives you all the heartwarming holiday feels and I LOVED it!
Ashley left Owl Lake because she always felt like she was a big city girl living in a small town. Moving to NYC for school, and now working at the charms counter of a well renowned jewelry store, working with her best friend Maya and boyfriend Jeremy, Ashley has everything that she thinks wants. With a trip to Paris planned for Christmas with her boyfriend, running into her high school sweetheart was the last thing she expected to do. After that thoughts of Aiden kept coming. Maya tells her that Jeremy had purchased an engagement ring, she wonders why her thoughts drift to Aiden. After finding out that the ring in fact was for Jeremy’s brother so he could propose to his girlfriend, Ashley breaks up with him and heads home to Owl Lake for Christmas. With a strange encounter with a woman, who gives her a charm bracelet on the train it seems that all of her Christmas wishes are coming true. All of these events are slowly leading her back to Aiden, is it too good to be true or are they magically being reconnected?
I'm so grateful to NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this ARC ebook in exchange for my honest review.
This is the type of book you read to feel warm and fuzzy. The tag line on Amazon is "Literally a Hallmark movie in book form", and it's accurate! Ashley's life takes a different direction than planned. Instead of a proposal and a magical Christmas in Paris, she ends up going home heartbroken. There's a fantasy element as she's magically gifted a charm bracelet that she can't remove, and it seems to be running the show! Cue a hallmark Christmas as Ashley gets the type of Christmas she always dreamed of when she was younger, and add her college sweetheart into the mix for a sweet romance. It's a feel good read, perfect fluff to lift the mood this festive season.
Teri Wilson has done it again. Christmas Charms is a charming and lovely holiday confection. The story takes the reader from the hustle and bustle of New York City to the quaint town of Owl Lake as Ashley returns to her hometown after a romantic disappointment. Instead of spending the holidays in Paris, Ashley will be in Owl Lake, New York. When she crosses paths with a mysterious woman on the train ride home, she ends up with a charm bracelet that might just change her destiny ,Add in a gorgeous firefighter ex-fiance and the whimsy of Christmas in a small town and you have all the ingredients for a romantic and charming book.. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Christmas Charms by Teri Wilson is a magical Christmas story. I love the story about how the charms come alive predicting the future and the present. At first Ashley is afraid of the charms. Read this story about Christmas. You will smile, cry and be excited as she discovers what the charms mean.
This is my first Teri Wilson read and it did not disappoint!
Nothing about this holiday season is going as Ashley envisioned. Down on her luck, Ashley decides to leave the city she loves to spend an extended vacation in her hometown of Owl Lake where she hasn't spent Christmas in several years. On the way home, she acquires a surprise gift and mystery all wrapped up in one... a magical charm bracelet that predicts/commemorates events over the next ten days down to every detail. Ashley finds herself going from obsessing with how to rid herself of the bracelet to not wanting to run out of charms. Can this holiday season be redeemed after all?
Sweet, funny, and festive. When you read this, you’ll be looking forward to Christmas ASAP! I would love to see Christmas Charms become a Hallmark movie!
Thank you to Hallmark Publishing, Teri Wilson, and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you to Netgalley & Hallmark Publishing for this eARC copy. All opinions are of my own.
I give this book ✨5 STARS ✨ because infinite stars isn’t possible.
Fruitcake, charms, hometown Christmas, second-chance romance…this story has it all. I couldn’t think of a better way to get into the Christmas spirit. Christmas Charms is yet another Hallmark book I’d love to see on the screen.
Perfect Christmas romance. There wasn’t a large timeframe where the characters lost their ways and I actually loved that for a change. I was rooting for Aiden & Ashley from the start & never wanted her to leave Owl Lake. One thing every Hallmark fan knows is the structure: Characters meet, they fall in love (or like), something happens between them, and we get a happy ending. We’ve come to love and expect this setup, and Christmas Charms doesn’t disappoint.
Having spent many years living in the Adirondacks I was constantly looking for clues as to where this village would be. Fictionally about 20 minutes from North Pole, NY, I’m wondering if the author based Owl Lake off a real village somewhere here in NY or if it was just an area she decided to use for world building. Regardless, I felt like I could have been walking around the village, coffee in hand, wearing my favorite sweater, and taking in all the Hallmark magic of the holidays.
This is a great Christmas read!
I sat down with a cup of hot chocolate and was transported to a wonderful small town with lovely characters.
I was cheering for the couple and wasn’t disappointed at all.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for my honest review.
A sweet, uplifting and heartwarming story that made me smile and root for the characters.
It's the perfect Christmas story that make you wish it's already December.
I loved the well thought plot that kept me hooked, the likable and well thought characters, the lovely setting and the Christmas spirit.
It's highly enjoyable read that I strongly recommend.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
Once again, author Teri Wilson dazzles with another happily ever after story set during the Christmas holidays.
This second chance romance with a bit of magic warms the heart better than a warm cup of cocoa.
Pure escapism with Teri's descriptions of the world she builds for Aidan and Ashley on their way to happily ever after.
Such a fun, sweet read.

Thank you Hallmark Publishing.
I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an advance reader copy of this story.
Christmas Charms, by Teri Wilson, is available at booksellers on 10-6-2020. Writing for Hallmark Publishing is perfect for Ms Wilson. Sweet stories with great endings are her forte. Charms is a wonderful second chance story. I liked all the characters, even the goofy ex. I became invested in Ashley's journey and was pulled into the image of Owl Lake, a perfectly lovely small town. I truly wish someone would give me a terrific second chance like this one. I can only hope.

I received an ARC from Hallmark Publishing through NetGalley for an honest review. Ashley was working in the charms department at Windsor Fine Jewelry in New York. This year she wasn't going to be going home to Owl Lake to spend Christmas with her parents, she was going to go to Paris with her boyfriend to visit his family. Before they went she bumped into her first love Aidan and was surprised to see him in New York.
After some miscommunications and a serious talk with Jeremy, he goes to Paris and she goes home to Owl Lake. After she boards the train she sits next to an elderly woman who is wearing an antique charm bracelet, She falls asleep and then when she wakes up she is at the Owl Lake train station. with the charm bracelet on her wrist.
She tries to take the bracelet off when she gets to her parent's house but she can't get it off.
We have some Christmas magic leading Ashley one way but a job opportunity to be a manager in the charms department leading her in another direction. But Ashley had another dream and maybe this one would give her everything she wanted. Ah, the magic of the Christmas season is still alive.

There are many symbols of the holiday season but none so personal as the charms that are accumulated on a woman’s bracelet. In this lovely story we find Ashley working her usual shift at the famous Windsor Fine Jewelry store. She is working in the charms department as she does each day. This season is full of wonderful momentos in the form of sterling silver designs and ornaments in the shapes of snowmen, ice skaters, babies and countless other personal badges of accomplishment and history. Ashley is wonderful at her job by talking with the customers to discover their personal momentos in the sparkling silver baubles. However, this particular day is her last before she and her boyfriend, Jeremy, take off for Paris to visit his parents. It seems to take hours before her lunch break yet this trip could be all of the dreams she always hoped for Christmas to be. With each passing hour things begin to interrupt the possibility of her getting to Paris. Incidents of her past with a young man named Aiden come flying back to haunt her mind. Why oh why can’t she concentrate on the beautiful future that begins when she and Jeremy board their amazing flight.
Yes, this book was published by Hallmark, if it is not a holiday movie, it should be. Every step that Ashley took while she was visiting her home in Owl Lake seems to be one leading her into a wonderland of hopeful dreams. I found this a terrific yuletide book that I am certain I will pick up again next year. Yes, it had all the ‘G’ ratings that are found in a Hallmark movie but Ashley’s Christmas journey is written so well that I could envision it as a magical adventure.
Christmas Charms was released on October 6, 2020 by Hallmark Publishing. I appreciate their allowing me to read and review this entertaining novel. I encourage readers to pick up Teri Wilson’s latest novel as I enjoyed this novel from the first sentence to the end. Don’t pass this one by. It is ever so pleasant and comforting to read.
I absolutely love this time of year when the holiday season is fast approaching. I especially look forward to the release of holiday-themed novels. Christmas Charms, by Teri Wilson, is my first book for this holiday season, and it definitely did not disappoint! Christmas Charms is a sweet, clean holiday romance story about true love and second chances...and it perfectly captures the magic of the holiday season!
Ashley knows this will be the Christmas of her dreams! Her boyfriend Jeremy is taking her to Paris, and she is counting down the days until that dream becomes a reality. However, as we all know, not all dreams come true. After a series of unfortunate events, Ashley decides to get on a train and head home to spend Christmas with her parents in Owl Lake. While on the train, she meets a wonderful woman named Betty, and is intrigued by the charm bracelet she is wearing. They strike up a conversation, and she soon finds herself telling Betty everything that happened over the past few days. Eventually, Ashley falls asleep and wakes up when the train reaches Owl Lake. She looks around, and Betty is not there. Initially, she thinks she was dreaming, but then sees the Christmas stocking Betty was knitting, and inside is the charm bracelet she was admiring. Worried she will lose it, she puts on the charm bracelet...not knowing that in that one moment, her life will be changed forever.
Aidan has never gotten over the one true love of his life. Knowing that nobody will ever fill that void, he has devoted all of his time and effort to his job working at the Owl Lake Fire Department. Christmas is fast approaching, and he has a lot to do between work and organizing the annual Christmas festivities. While on a quick trip to Manhattan for work, he literally bumps into his high school sweetheart. Seeing her was definitely unexpected...but seeing her turn up just days later in Owl Lake completely catches him off-guard.
The story that unfolds is extremely well-written, and grabbed my attention from beginning to end. When the book ended, all I kept thinking is that this book would make a perfect Hallmark Christmas movie! I adored all of the characters, and especially loved Aidan. I was thrilled to see things go south with Jeremy because I honestly did not like him and felt he was not "the one" for Ashley. Fruitcake won me over as well, but then again, any time a dog plays a main role in a story, I am a happy camper!
Overall, this was the perfect book to kick off this upcoming holiday season! It is a sweet and charming romance with realistic characters, a story that is unique, and an ending that will leave you completely satisfied. This book is about second chances, but it also about finding the courage to make changes. Most important, it perfectly captures the magic of the holiday season...if you just find it in your heart to believe!
I would like to thank Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read and review Christmas Charms. My views are my own, and are in no way influenced by anyone else.
Christmas Charms is such an uplifting story full of Christmas, romance, possibilities, and believing in yourself – even if that means stepping off of the path you thought was the right one. Plus just a touch of magic that delights at every twist and turn of Ashley’s and Aidan’s journey.
First off, the cover is simply stunning and screams small-town Christmas to me, so visually I was hooked before I even read the first page. Then I was completely engaged as Ashley’s hopes for her future with her boyfriend are dashed and she makes the choice to return home to Owl Lake. A stranger on the train ride home will give us the magical touches with a charm bracelet with a mind of its own. Add in a second chance to get love right with Aidan, the ex-boyfriend Ashley left behind when she set out to follow her dreams and you’ll have all the ingredients that are necessary for a lovely romance, a glimpse into the future, and a love worth fighting for this second time around.
To be frank, I don’t need a lot of words to simply say… this is a heartwarming, touching romance set around Christmas that will capture your imagination and your heart from beginning to the end. I loved every moment of Ashley’s and Aidan’s romance, their struggles to see each other as they are now, and the belief that love never truly dies. Christmas Charms is filled with the holiday spirit, interesting secondary characters, and the feel of stepping into a winter wonderland of emotions.
If you simply love a really good Christmas Romance (any time of the year, but especially right now) then Christmas Charms is exactly the gift you should give to yourself this Christmas season.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, Hallmark Publishing via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
