Christmas is all about glitz and glamour and expensive trips to Paris, France right?
Convinced this will be the Christmas of her dreams with her long time boyfriend, what could possibly go wrong? Working in a prestigious jewelry store Ashley is convinced Jeremy her boyfriend is going to propose in Paris this holiday season, she has stars in her eyes just imagining it.
The fast paced life she leads at the jewelry store leaving her with no time of her own is certainly worth it right?
Literally bumping into her old boyfriend starts an unexpected chain of events and the ball just keeps rolling to include a break up,a train trip a very, very important charm bracelet,a happy go lucky dog,a handsome firefighter,a holiday parade and more.
Delightful small town feel where everyone knows everyone else and everyone is your friend.
This is a truly magical holiday book that is a warm hug and a hot cup of cocoa wrapped up within the pages. A true must read, it's delightfully magical!

I've read a lot of holiday romance novels. A LOT. I'll read anything that has Christmas and romance once it hits October. Some of the books I've read, not too great. Others are a win. And this book was definitely a win. It hits all the necessary criteria- woman from the big city who works too much, a guy from a small town who has a heart of gold, and lots of sweet holiday moments. But what takes this book from just another Christmas romance to an appealing one is the element of the charms and how they are steering the story along. It's a cute way to bring everything together. I also really enjoyed the voice of the main character, and how the author kept things lighthearted and humorous. I will definitely look for more books by this author and will add this book to my yearly holiday reading list.
A charming Christmas story of holiday magic. Such a unique storyline. I hope this is made into a Hallmark movie. The author has a talent for creating whimsical moments that inspire you to live your own dreams. This is the first time I have read a book by this author but I can guarantee it will not be the last. Looking forward to more from this talented writer.

Christmas Charms by Teri Wilson 5 stars
A small-town Christmas romance from Hallmark Publishing
Ms. Wilson did a great job with this book. It’s my first from her and it will not be my last. It’s a fun, cozy, clean and magical Christmas read. It feels like a Hallmark movie but instead of watching, I’m reading it!
Ashley loves her job at Windsor’s charms department. She is set to spend Christmas with her boyfriend, Jeremy, and his family in Paris. When things didn’t turn out as expected, she took the train home to Owl Lake. I love how Betty left her Christmas bracelet on the train. Since then, weird things have happened or shall I say, magical. Christmas is a time for magic and Ashley is starting to believe it. I got excited about what is in store for her. Then her high school ex-boyfriend rescued her.
It seems like it’s always the ex in books like this but I like Aidan. He is a firefighter and just the best small town hero. He is great with kids, loves his work and parents-approved. I look forward to each of Ashley’s magical moments. The story doesn’t feel hurried though it’s a short one. I love the characters and the town’s Christmas events. It’s definitely a Hallmark movie in the making. The ending is great. It captures the true spirit of Christmas and the value of family and friends.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Ashley had high hopes for Christmas after learning that her boyfriend Jeremy had purchased a ring at the jewelry store where she worked. It was supposed to be a magical Christmas but all of that changed when Jeremy told her that the ring was for his brother's wedding and that people like her and him were living the perfect dream and did not need to get married. Ashley decides to return to her hometown of Owl Lake for Christmas even though she hurried away from it as fast as she could when she graduated to pursue her dream of living and working in the big city. Things take a different turn when she returns home and realizes how much she has missed it and her family and friends there. She has " magically" acquired a charm bracelet while sleeping on the train on the way home and each charm has a tale to tell. Can she find her magical Christmas after all? This was a delightful read and I would highly recommend it.
Christmas Charms by Terri Wilson captured the true essence of Christmas in the best way possible. It was such a charming and cozy book, and had the perfect touch of magic too! Small-town romances are my jam (DUH) and this book in particular reminded me why I love books surrounding small town and communities so much. I loved being in Owl Lake and seeing our protagonist, Ashley find herself and fall in love with her life all over again.
Ashley is unexpectedly given a charm bracelet, and she gradually realizes that it has magical powers. The charms in the bracelet keep coming true in real life! I had such a lovely time seeing how the story unfolded according to the charms! I couldn’t wait to see what event each charm would bring. It added a bit of a mystery to the book, which I loved.
Ashley’s character development was definitely the highlight of the book for me. Her relationship with Aidan was totally swoon-worthy and I loved being a part of their moments together. The cute dog, Fruitcake made reading the book so much better too!
I really want Christmas Charms to be developed into a Hallmark movie. Highly recommend!
A nice feel good Christmas book.
It was an enjoyable easy read not read a Teri Wilson book before but would recommend it.
This about Ashley who, lives in New York but ends up coming back to her hometown. She ends up meeting up with her first love Aidan.
Ashley has not been back to her parents since she went away 8 years ago so they are really pleased to see her.
I would read more of Teri Wilson's books.
My first Teri Wilson book so I wasn’t sure what to expect. This book kept me smiling from start to finish. It was full of seasonal warmth with oodles of festive charm (pun completely intended) if you want to read a magical book which feels like a soothing cuddle this is the one for you.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a magical, romantic Christmas story set in the picturesque, small town of Owl Lake in Upstate New York and it started off in Manhattan. The book will fill you with the Christmas spirit and hope as Ashley finds a magical, vintage charm bracelet in a handknit, red stocking from Betty, her train acquaintance.
It was such fun to find and to hear the tinkle sound as each of the charms came to life. I also enjoyed the community spirit of the small town with all of their cute Christmas activities and how everyone knew everyone. The importance of family as Ashley had not been home for Christmas in a long time was another theme that I enjoyed in this book.
This is one of the best Christmas books I have read from the characters, to Owl Lake, to the fun activities, to the magic of the charm bracelet, and to Ashley catching up with her high school sweetheart, Aiden who is now working at the same fire station that her dad retired from awhile ago, and of course to Fruitcake, the golden retriever. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
4.5 stars - Loved it! Would re-read.
This might be my favorite Christmas book of this year's releases (so far). I loved the magical elements with the charm bracelet. There's definitely a Hallmark-esque sort of arc and feel to this. For me, that's a feature, not a bug, but YMMV. The characters are absolutely my favorite part of this story. The main characters, the family and friends, the small town. I loved all of it!

My dearest Hallmark, always knowing how to put me into the perfect mood no matter the time of year. This book was so perfect that I didn’t want it to end but knew the entire time that I would love the ending because I always do.
Ashley lives in Manhattan and has been recently planning for her perfect Christmas - a trip to Paris with her boyfriend Jeremy full of romance and love. But Christmas magic has a different plan - spending Christmas back in Owl Lake, her perfect little home town in upstate New York.
On the train ride there she meets a wonderful woman named Betty who gifts her the most beautiful antique charm bracelet while she’s sleeping on the train. But when she wakes up and tries to find Betty to return the beautiful gift, she’s nowhere to be found.
Her next few days in Owl Lake become surreal as she finds she can’t get the bracelet off of her wrist, and all at the same time each charm on the bracelet seems to oddly coincide with things happening in her real life - as if predicting the events of her Christmas. Many of them having to do with her former high school boyfriend Aidan.
Ashley has to fight herself to determine whether to let fate and Christmas magic take charge of this Christmas or to keep trying to find a way to get back to Manhattan to score a new promotion. She realizes that Christmas magic usually teaches someone something about themselves and maybe that’s what she is supposed to be learning… so how will it all play out for her?
I give this book EASILY 5 out of 5 stars!! It was SO GOOD! I read it in just a few quick days and loved every minute of it and was sad when I would have to put it down to sleep. Such a perfect cozy happy story to read at a time like this. The perfect escape!
Have you read it yet? It just came out this past Tuesday - October 6th, and I HIGHLY recommend going out and snatching yourself a copy :)

Is it all about a charm bracelet?
Teri Wilson is the author of many novels and RITA-award finalist. Some of her books have been turned into Hallmark movies. With "Christmas Charms" she is presenting another book published by Hallmark Publishing.
Ashley and her boyfriend Jeremy to whom she is practically engaged, work both at Windsor Fine Jewelry. She dreams of an engagement ring. A few days before Christmas she literally runs into Aidan Flynn whom she considered a hometown boy through and through and scatters all his packages. He is not only from her home town Owl Lake, but was also her boyfriend until eight years ago. But instead of taking the romantic trip to Paris Ashley travels back to Owl Lake after Jeremy states: "Why in the world would we want to get married?". A chance encounter with Betty on the train leads her to owning a beautiful antique charm bracelet and the challenge to "dream bigger." Will her future be with Aidan - she cannot just pick up with him like nothing has happened - or with Jeremy who surprisingly and unexpectedly shows up at the Christmas parade in Owl Lake?
This was the third book by Teri Wilson which I read. I can highly recommend this clean and wholesome romance which is a fast and easy read. The characters are believable and the story contains emotional elements and the book shows that life is not always clear-cut. Additionally Hallmark Publishing has included a recipe for Spiced Walnut Crust Cookie with Chocolate Ganache and Sea Salt.
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Loved this book! I’m a huge fan of Christmas movies but I absolutely love Christmas books! This is my favorite time to read curled up by a fire with a hot chocolate! I highly recommend this book!!
Christmas Charms is a charming Christmas story concerning a mystical antique bracelet by Teri Wilson. Manhattan, the train, and the lovely Owl Lake community are vividly described as M. Wilson usually does so that it was easy to imagine all these place, especially Owl Lake. I also enjoyed getting to know the character Ashely as well as her family and Aiden, even Jeremy was not a bad guy. He was not just the right guy.
A Hallmark Publishing release that would make an enchanting movie. Christmas is a time of magic, family and love with this story is all about. Ashely finds all of that including what she sincerely wants out of life. Fruitcake is a favorite now too, the dog that is.
An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book is perfectly Hallmark with a magical Christmas theme. If you like Hallmark movies, you'll love this book. It is a second chance, small town romance where the reader can predict the happily ever after outcome as is typical in Hallmark stories but it is a fun ride to see what happens along the way.
I liked the characters, both primary and secondary. I enjoyed the romance but also really liked the friendships in the story. You know you have good friends when you can tell them all the crazy things that are happening to you and they don't think you are crazy.
I also loved the idea of the charms. It was rather -- uh, charming, for lack of a better word. Made me want to get a charm bracelet.
I would love to see this book as a movie. Perfect feel good romance for a cozy winter night.
No sex, language or violence

Just Read: “Christmas Charms” by Teri Wilson
Read October 5, 2020 – October 7, 2020
Can you believe it has taken me this long to read a Christmas book from Hallmark Publishing? Thank you NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for making my dreams come true. I’m the girl who watches Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas, which..yes..starts THIS MONTH! I actually had this book on my wish list, so I’m glad I was given access prior to its release. This book officially published yesterday, October 6th.
What is it about?
Here we have another quaint town oozing with charm and in Hallmark fashion... there is tons of magic. Ashley is from Owl Lake but is currently in Manhattan, living the dream as an employee in the charms department of a jewelry store reminiscent of Tiffany’s on 5th Avenue. Four story building, a signature shade of blue, and all the prestige.. it’s easy to picture if you’re familiar with the obvious inspiration. Ashley has this very awkward moment with her co-worker-turned-boyfriend before visiting her hometown to spend the holidays with her parents. If you’re waiting for the signature Hallmark moment.. it’s gonna happen on the train.
She’s charmed… see what I did there?... by a woman on the train and from that point on magic begins to unfold. She bumps into an old flame, finds a mysterious dog, and at one points ends up in an amazingly hideous Christmas sweater. I suppose she should be careful what she wishes for, because her dreams appear to be coming true. There’s no place like home but she can’t entirely leave the City behind as it tries to tug her back to the hustle and bustle of the career she loves so much.
What does it have?
• Proposal Drama
• Holiday Magic
• Small Town Charm
• Family
I can’t imagine a Christmas story that doesn’t involve romance and this one delivers a little bit of everything I’m looking for. I was somehow distracted from real life beginning at the 30% mark onward and couldn’t put the book down. Hallmark Publishing did a good pick with Wilson’s novel and it gives all of what you expect from them. Wilson transports you to the most magical time of year and pulls your heart in the best way possible. She delivers a snowy Christmastime that also warms you from the inside. I have the sudden urge to watch old movies and sip on a gingerbread latte. Watch out, pumpkin spice!
Is it worth reading?
If you’re a Hallmark fan like me… definitely! I can’t imagine not having read this. I was picturing it play out on the screen with one of the darling regulars we see each year. When you do read it, I'd love to know who you would cast for the main characters.
I hope you're enjoying early Christmas vibes with me. Now, back to my Kindle to download the next Christmas-themed Advance Reader Copy I was given!
This story has the perfect title because it’s utterly charming from the very first page. I love the sprinkle of Christmas magic that happens when Ashley, fresh from a broken engagement and heading home to Owl Lake for Christmas, meets Betty, a mysterious stranger who reminds her of Mrs Claus. Waking to discover Betty’s beautiful charm bracelet, a note urging her to wear it and have the Christmas of her dreams and no sign of Betty, Ashley begins rediscovering her love for Owl Lake and Aidan Flynn, her teenage boyfriend.
This story is beautifully written. At times it is whimsical, at other times sad, but overall the feel is upbeat, warm and inclusive. I loved the small town Christmas traditions such as lighting the town Christmas tree and baking cookies for the firehouse. I couldn’t help but adore Fruitcake (gorgeous name for a dog), the golden retriever cross that Ashley discovers waiting patiently for her on the stoop of her parents’ house. Most of all though I loved the way that each charm delivered a small miracle in Ashley’s life. This has been one of the most delightful Christmas stories I have read in a very long time.
I don't know what I was expecting when I picked up this book (I'm always game for a clean romance with a cute cover), but it FAR exceeded my expectations. The storyline was a stroke of genius on the part of the author - so imaginative, fun, and perfect for the holidays! The main character, Ashley, left her tiny home town to chase big dreams in the Big City.....only to find herself working round-the-clock and with a boyfriend who tells her he has no intention of proposing. She copes with her heartbreak and unplanned time off by going home to visit her parents. On the train ride, she meets a mysterious woman who gifts her - what turns out to be - a magical charm bracelet. Charms keep coming to life as Ashley reconnects with the home in her heart and the people she left behind but never stopped loving. The 2nd chance romance between her and Aidan is swoon-worthy. Without question, should be made into a movie. I may even have to buy a hard copy of this book to look at on my shelf and re-read at every Christmas season!
Ashley has a gift for matching the right charm to its recipient. But, while she has worked four years at the luxurious jewelry store that sells the charms, she has never received her own charm. That is until, her Christmas plans with her boyfriend fall through and she goes home to her parent’s. On the train, she is befriended by a lovely elderly lady with a beautiful charm bracelet, but when Ashley falls asleep, she wakes to find the lady gone and the charm bracelet in her lap.
Besides being beautiful, the bracelet’s charms appear to have magical properties. Each charm seems to foretell an event that happen during her visit. Magic, unexpected romance and Christmas with her family – what a wonderful way to spend the holidays. This is a light, fluffy, enjoyable read with fun characters and events. From Hallmark Publishing, the book lives up to the promise of the imprint. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the opinion is my own.
Charming book that finds the main character’s future predicted by the arrival of a charm bracelet on her wrist! Each charm foretells a very unpredictable part of her very near future!
