I love Debbie Macomber books. I look forward to her Christmas books. This book is not really about Christmas till the end when Everly realizes what’s really important, which is family. Everly is a workaholic. In a series of events Everly gets booked on an Amazon cruise by her incompetent assistant. Everly thought it was a luxury cruise. Asher works on the ship as the guide for the cruise. They become close due to her mishaps. A romance starts but can it continue with her living in Chicago and him in Brazil. Everly realizes that missing the Christmas the year before was not good to her well being. After the cruise, she goes home and spends time with her family, doing the traditions that she used to enjoy as a child. This book has details about the Amazon, romance and some Christmas spirit. Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine Books for the E-ARC. This is my own opinion.
This was a cute romance book. I do enjoy a quick Christmas book and this was that. I also enjoyed how Debbie took her own experience with exotic travel and put it in a book. I never even knew such things were possible.
Everly is essentially tricked into taking a cruse down the Amazon River. She thinks she's going to somewhere warm with a beach and a waiter bringing her fruity drinks. Nope she is on a boat that will have no WIFI or cell service for two weeks. She also can't leave the ship either. There is no ports just the wild. She's determined to make the most of it and she does. BUT what does she truly leave this experience with?
Debbie is the queen of Christmas and love. I always look forward to adding her Christmas books to my reading list for the holidays.
Thank you so much for this ARC!
Such a lovely book! It was great to pick up q nice light hearted book after reading some intense thrillers. I loved "Daisy". I enjoyed watching her come full circle and learning what really mattered in life. Fast and easy read with an enjoyable love story.
A fun, quick read. Love me a good Debbie Macomber and this was nothing short! Now, if you are looking for a “green christmas” and can’t see past that, this won’t scratch that itch. However if you are looking for a fun, fast book to take your mind off current events, lift your spirit and take you to a new location, you have come to the right book!
I am a huge fan of holiday stories and this one did not disappoint, although there wasn't a ton of holiday, it was enough to make me smile.
Everly is a stress out by her job and her partner doesn't get that his niece, who is Everly's assistant, just can't do the job. He suggests she take a month off and take a vacation. The niece books the vacation and thinking she is going on a luxury cruise, is totally freaked out when she learns she is aboard a boat going down the Amazon with limited facilities and no internet.
Everly believes she is a strong person, but right off the bat she gets sick and needs to be tended to. The "Naturalist" on the boat is the one who cares for her and nurses her back to health. They form a strong bond and yet Everly again has the impossible happen to her when she falls behind in a walk through the rainforest and is taken by a tribe and lastly her luck does not hold when she falls into the Amazon from the small boat they are traversing in.
There is a it of romance, but the story is very unique and it's telling and was definitely a fun and good way to spend your time.
Everly Lancaster grew up on a farm and is the middle of five children. Looking to escape the mold she heads to Chicago where she is a high powered real estate executive with a company she helped create. She has zero time for anything in her life besides work and her partner insists she take a break. After a run in with his niece, her assistant, he demands she takes the entire month of December off to take a much needed break.
.
Her assistant booked her a cruise! No worries! Go pack your bags! Of course, her assistant tries to get the upper hand by booking her on an adventure cruise down the Amazon, instead of the relaxing weeks of Luxury she thought she was headed on! Hi jinks Ensue!
.
Is it slightly predictable? Yes. Do I care? Absolutely not! I loved it. It’s exactly what I wanted out of a Christmas book! She’s on a cruise in the rainforest with no wi fi, dangerous bugs, dangerous tribes, dangerous creatures, AND a handsome tour guide! Asher is the perfect cruise tour guide and he opens her eyes to adventure, the Amazon, and what her life could possibly be like stepping away from a busy office. Asher helps Everly see what she truly wants out of life.
.
I loved this book. I loved the description of Chicago, the description of her family and it gives a satisfying epilogue. Side note, she beautifully describes Chicago at Christmastime and there is nothing more beautiful then Chicago at Christmastime snd it made my Christmas heart happy!

Jingle All the Way was a great read by Debbie Macomber. Everly has always had big dreams. She is now a top real estate executive who does everything for her career. But that doesn’t leave much for anyone around her. Everly’s boss can sense that she is stressed and tells her too take December off. She reluctantly takes her vacation but let’s her inept assistant book the cruise she will go on. She never thought that her assistant would look to get revenge on her and book her a cruise on the Amazon. There is no WiFi and she is stuck in the rain forest. She is looking to get out of the cruise and even the handsome naturalist, Asher, can change her mind. They can’t take her back and she tries to make the best of the situation. It seems like she’s having a great time and she seems to get closer to Asher. I really enjoyed reading Everly and Asher getting closer and taking a look at what is important to them. I can’t wait to read more by Debbie Macomber.
This is a lovely read. Not exactly what I was expecting for a Christmas read, however, good story, well written and an easy read..
An unrealistic premise and ridiculous story line. Too many rich, young, beautiful characters and a buttoned-up ending that doesn't quite follow with some characters' words and actions earlier in the story. Not up to the standards of this author's earlier work.

Is ove worth the risk? This book poses that question as well as explores the idea that the things we often run from are the things we someday may long to run back to. Everything happens for a reason and a Christmas back drop makes it all the more better!
Everly Lancaster has created the life she has always wanted from the time she changed her given name, Daisy, to something more sophisticated and worldly: Everly. A workaholic, she co-owns a top selling Chicago real estate company with Jack Campbell, a long-time friend and colleague. Everly shoulders the late nights, firings and problems that Jack finds distasteful. But when his niece, Annette is hired as Everly’s assistant with Jack’s recommendation, things go south fast.
Lazy, spoiled and incompetent, Annette bungles a very important event, so Everly insists on her termination. Jack balks, finding it distasteful to fire his niece. He insists Everly needs a vacation and demands she takes off the entire month of December. A contrite Annette books a cruise for Everly, who agrees she might need some time to unwind on a nice relaxing vacation. Unfortunately, the cruise is anything but relaxing. No internet, no telephone, no amenities and no way to leave the ship. But the good news is there is a naturalist onboard, Asher Adams, who is very handsome and very interesting. Maybe the trip won’t be as bad as it seems – or it might just be worse than she ever imagined.
From the first chapters, the interesting characters and unusual situations pulled me in and didn’t let go. Jingle All The Way is not your typical Christmas novel, which makes it interesting and charming with a satisfying end. It is the perfect holiday story that will make you chuckle; make you sniffle and make you want to read just one more chapter to see what is happening next. I highly recommend it.
Debbie Newcomber is a familiar name because she is a best-selling author with thirteen novels reaching #1 on the NYT bestseller lists. Five of her Christmas novels are now beloved movies that can be seen on the Hallmark Channel. Ms. Newcomber pulls readers into her books, with her heartwarming characters and stories.

I felt betrayed by her assistant and her boss as the book opened. I could not figure out why she didn't let her friend have it for not supporting her. The assistant's shot at revenge would have put me overboard. The character Macomber created had my sympathy from the start. I was cheering for her to enjoy the cruise in spite of what she was experiencing. It was a funny, emotional story that I truly loved reading!
I received a complimentary digital copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an unbiased review.
Everly Lancaster has always been an overachiever having grown up on a farm she always dreamed of living in the city. She is living a busy life in Chicago running an online real estate agency called Easy Home. She met Jack Campbell six years ago while they were both business students and became partners in this start up project.
It seems she has taken on more of the responsibilities as Jack becomes less involved. Unfortunately, he hired his sister’s daughter, Annette Howington to work as her assistant. After much patience and embarrassing mishaps she decides Annette needs to be let go. Jack decides instead that Everly is overwhelmed and needs a vacation. He has Annette schedule her a two week vacation “somewhere warm” and not giving her much time to back out or say no with all the plans made for her.
She always dreads going home to the farm for the holidays. She is the middle child of five with two twin younger brothers Jeff and John and two older sisters Rose and Lily. Escaping her quiet farm life for the big city she also changed her name from Daisy to Everly. In Indiana, she feels she doesn’t fit in with her brothers working the farm with her father and sisters who are married with kids.
When Everly is sent on an unexpected Amazon Explorer cruise in Brazil she is forced to reevaluate her life. She manages to handle the media free nightmare vacation with the help of Asher Adams the cruise naturist. She slowly begins to make the best of the situation and finds she really did need a break from the craziness of the city.
When both Everly and Asher discover they have feelings for each other things go sideways. They are both independent and devoted to their jobs. Will they be able to work out their differences to try to make their relationship work? Does the spirit of the holidays bring back special memories?
Another delightful story by Debbie Macomber about family traditions, love and new beginnings.

Would it even be the holidays without a Christmas book from Debbie Macomber? Not to me….
Everly is “accidentally” booked on an Amazon cruise by her assistant but sometimes we are put into a place because that is exactly where we are supposed to be.
Everly meets Asher on the cruise and they both feel that falling feeling quickly but aren’t sure what they feel is “love”. But the sweet romance is exactly what these two deserve. I loved the Christmas scenes and the fudge recipe made me think of when my Granny made fudge for the holidays and that memory alone was worth the read to me.

I just reviewed Jingle All the Way by Debbie Macomber. #JingleAlltheWay #NetGalley

This was my first book by this author, and quite frankly, I really enjoyed the story!!! This book is not typical for me.. I gravitate more to historical fiction, but this one I can say was worth it!!!
A wonderful holiday romance. Daisy (Everly) is someone whom most of us feel like, a workaholic that just needs to take a break for herself. That is how she met Asher... taking some much needed time off she didn't realize that she would be falling for Asher. Debbie Macomber has written a beautiful story of family, faith, and love. This is another one that will you not be able to put done from her and wishing that they make this one into a movie as well.
Thank you Netgalley, Random House Publishing Group, and Debbie Macomber for this advance reader.
Thank you netgalley for allowing me to read this!! I love any book by Debbie Macomber, and this was no disappointment. This got me into the holiday spirit which is great considering everything that’s been going on lately. 5 Stars!
Debbie Macomber has always been a favorite of mine when it comes to Christmas stories. Jingle All the Way is no exception when it come to that either. Such a great story, even if you maybe know how it is going to end, you will still want to read it anyway!
Everly works non-stop and when her partner's niece comes to work for her, a few mistakes and Everly is done with her. Everly's partner from college suggests that Everly take some time off and let him handle things while she is gone. he tells his niece to schedule a getaway for Everly so she does and sends Everly on her way to get ready for her vacation. What Everly doesn't realize is that she is booked on a Jungle cruise to the Amazon, not a nice relaxing cruise to some exotic island with a nice view.
Everly boards the ship and soon realizes that she is going to be without internet the whole trip as well. Now she is furious. How are things going to run at the office without her helping them and checking in on things? Everly meets Asher, the cruise naturalist, and he begins to help her out. When Everly becomes ill from a bite she received, Asher is the one to take care of her. As things progress with the Amazon trip, Ashe and Everly begin to spend more time together and you can guess what happens from there! Such a lovely story that you will not want to put down nor want it to end. The cozy ending was such an added bonus.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and all opinions are my own! Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for an advanced copy of this book! I am a sucker for Christmas novels.
Everly has worked her way up in the internet real estate market, She works long hours at the company she and her college friend have started. When she hires her partners niece as her assistant it sets up the events that will be life changing. When she tries to let his niece go to assume a different position within the company her partner convinces her to take the month of December off.
With visions of a tropical cruise dancing in her minds eye she allows his niece the chance to redeem herself and book her trip. After an air trip from hell complete with multiple transfers and one lay over she arrives just in time for the ship to set sale. When she is shown to her cabin she finds out not only has she been booked on an extreme adventure cruise into the rain forest she is also too late to get off. She is trapped with no Wi-Fi service and no way to get off at a port that would allow her to travel back to civilization.
When Everly becomes sick from a mosquito bite the naturalist/guide Asher takes care of her. As she recovers they get to know each other and find an attraction. Asher is concerned because she is a city girl at heart. A women who fled her rural farm community as soon as she was able. He breaks her heart when it is time to return to port.
Everly had planned to go home for Christmas and is eager to do so after reevaluating what is important in life. She was willing to compromise to have a relationship with Asher. When she gets home she is determined to work on reconnecting with her family and decide what her future holds.
I enjoyed the trip down the amazon with all the side adventures along with descriptions of wildlife and fauna.
An awesome book!!! Perfect for the all the feels during the holiday season! You can never go wrong this type of romance.
