Beautifully written book about a girl named Tillie who had left her Amish life with her boyfriend only to return again expecting a baby. This causes a lot of problems with the ordnung, the rules of the Amish church. She must convince her boyfriend to return to the Amish and marry her, even though she knows he doesn't want to be Amish anymore. She gives birth to the baby in an Amish neighbors house during an ice storm, so she is rather stuck at the neighbor's house for a few days. The neighbor, Levi Yoder, is a new widower, and is uncertain about what to do about this woman in his home. But he enjoys her and the baby's company until the ice is melted and she leaves for her family home. Strange beginning for a friendship, but the friendship grows from there. It's a wonderful clean story I really enjoyed reading!

A wonderful Christmas story. Tillie returns unwed and pregnant to her Amish family. Levi is mourning the loss of his pregnant wife. Circumstances throw them together in a hard to put down book. Highly recommend this book and author.
