It's a wonderful book that should be read by everyone. The right amount of scripture and the right amount of space to reflect and apply to your daily teachings. Loving the cute cover as well.

Due to an illness, I was unable to finish reading and reviewing this book here in this platform. But what I had previously read was very inspirational to me so much that I purchased the ebook on Amazon. I really enjoy reading the daily devotions, prayers and the insight others experienced.

I loved God Hears Her 40-Day Devotional Journal by Our Daily Bread. This journal coincides with God Hears Her family of devotionals that Our Daily Bread has. In addition to the devotion and Scripture, each devotion had writing prompts with various activities to help make what the reader had read more meaningful and applicable. This book lift up my soul. I do live how spiritual books help me in times when I am drowned. This 40-Day Devotional Journal is my new bestfriend. I will always look back to all the lessons I have learned from this journal.

I don’t often choose to read daily devotionals. When I do, it is almost always one of the well-known classics. I was attracted to this particular devotional by the pretty cover and the description. This is actually a daily devotional and journal all in one book. The cover colors are beautiful. Each page is simply lovely. The pages are all in black, white, and gray. The floral design and layout make it very inviting for reading and for journaling.

Each of the 40 days begins with a portion of scripture followed by a short devotional. Next is a “connect” section with a question to ponder and space to write. After this, an area is provided for written prayer. The last section of each day has a journaling prompt and a lined space to write.

I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of this 4o day devotional journal.
I love that each section was well connected to the scripture portion. I think this devotional journal is especially ideal for those who want to begin the habit of daily journaling. It is easy to see how anyone who likes to use colored pencils would enjoy adding their own personal artistry to the pages.

I thought that this was really nicely done. It was short and to the point but in a good way. It definitely gave me some food for thought, and it allows busy people to still always make time for God. I would recommend this book.

I must say God did surprise me. While reading and writing daily this devotional, I didn’t know that while reading it I was going to live for a hard and painful situation. I encourage you to see beyond the name devotional, Why do I say all that? I lost count of how many times I have read that this type of book is superficial bible readingl, but let me tell me you are these one is one those exceptions. In these 40 days, God helps me to see much powerful truth that help me to keep going, specific and exact words. Each day has a bible verse, I love that they used different versions. With a small reflection, and the questions for reflection. I like that this book is great for single women like myself, stay home mother, and grandmamma.

I love How this Devotional is broken down. This book gives you the right amount of scripture and the right amount of space to reflect and apply to your daily teachings. Everybody deserves to feel their best and I am so fortunate that I discovered journaling in devotionals to make me a stronger and better person. The color scheme, design layout and clarity of the words make it so much easier to follow and complete while reading. Devotionals have become very popular with our library community and I am so excited to share this title with them.

We will consider adding this title to our B Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

I really enjoyed this devotional journal. You do not need a lot of time to draw closer to God with this book. Scripture, a explaination, quote and a devotional for each day. I want to that the authors and Netgalley for gifting me this ebook. I loved this 40 day devotional so very much. I am also reading the 365 daily devotional from the same authors. I love getting up and reading these daily. They sure do put a spring in my step. The writers all do a great job with writing there little daily sermons. I highly recommend it to other christian ladies.

I really enjoyed this devotional. The devotional do not take long to read but has a powerful message. Each day starts with a passage of scriptures followed by the authors thoughts and than a place for reflection.

What a sweet daily devotional!

Each day features a Scripture passage, a short devotional reading, a journal prompt to connect you to the day's reading, a box to jot down a quick prayer, and usually one other writing activity.

The cover is beautiful, the pages are laid out well, and the daily sections are short but so packed full of meaning. Very inspirational and thought-provoking!

I would highly recommend this to ladies of all ages, but especially as a gift to a Sister in Christ who is seeking to grow deeper in her walk with Jesus.

I thought this was a great journal. I would like to purchase some for my family members. I feel that it made me think and reflect deeper into myself.

I loved the format of this devotional book. There’s plenty of space to write your thoughts about the day’s devotional and scripture passage. The designs inside are lovely, and add to the overall attractiveness of the book. These devotions are written by some outstanding “Our Daily Bread” authors; I’ve read excellent books written by a couple of these ladies. This would be a great devotional study to do on your own, or better yet, get a group of friends to go through this together and discuss each day’s lessons and how to apply them to your spiritual walk . These devotions are not lengthy, so it’s a great way to begin your day in the Word and in prayer.

Most devotionals that I have done give a scripture and an interpretation of that scripture broken up to be read each day. This book drew you into to individualized worship by giving you space to reflect on the scripture and short story by making a connection back to yourself. The stories were current and dealt with issues that WOMEN face.

I loved the spiritual growth I experienced while being more thoughtful and honest with my feelings. Struggling with our burdens and even doubting that God is still there given extensive trials I have faced is an honest statement of where I was at in my faith journey. I know we all go through highs and lows. I was at an all-time low dealing with two special needs children and a teenager who while wonderful most of the time is still a teenager! By honestly reflecting on my prayers, burdens, and blessings I reached a point where I feel much lighter and more connected.

This book is perfect for anyone looking for a little boost or even just a different way to worship. Your soul will truly be nourished and peace can be achieved, as you take stock of where you are and do the work to get to where you want to be.
