Another sweetly sexy and fun adventure in Patterson's Bluff, really enjoyed the emotionally thrilling roller-coaster ride from beginning to end. This is a fun and emotional journey that hits all the right feels and leaves you with a smile.
Cora Cabot's life and career are in shambles right now so when her friend in Australia suggests a house swap Cora readily agrees. When she gets to her friends house she finds out that her friend's brother Trent has been living in the house while he renovates. This is a fun story and I enjoyed it very much. I did not realize until I began reading that this is the second story in a series, however it is not necessary to read them in order. Each is a stand alone story. This was an enjoyable book by Stefanie London. I did not realize it until I began reading that this is the second book in a series featuring a family living in Australia, however the books do not need to be read in order.
Cora Cabot is in need of break and Liv happens to need a place to stay in New York City. So the two of them decide to swap houses for a month! Cora is so excited to be in Australia, until she turns on the shower at Liv’s and water sprays everywhere! Fortunately Liv’s brother Trent walks in shortly after, even if he does think there’s an intruder. Trent was planning to stay there to fix up the house while Liv was gone, and missed the memo about a guest being there. They are instantly attracted to one another. But, both are going through rough break ups, and she is only going to be there for a month. Will they be able to resist one another?
This story unfolded into the sweetest romance! This book was lighthearted, had amazing characters, a romantic setting, and the best banter. What more could you ask for? I loved both characters so much, and I loved reading this book from both their POVs. Cora is so kind and caring, and all she wants is her parents approval. Trent is a carefree, fun loving guy, who loves his family and would do anything for them. This was the perfect small town, slow burn romance. This is book two in the Patterson’s Bluff series, but it can be read as a stand alone. I would recommend this book!
Another great book by Stefanie London. I really enjoy her writing and she's a great addition to the contemporary romance genre. I really like the characters and how their story wound together. I look forward to reading more by her in the future.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.
Cora's life is going down hill and needs some time away from it all. Thats when she and a friend decides to swap houses so while she lends out her NYC apartment she'll be going to Australia. Thing is while Cora thought she was going to be alone it turns out her friends brother seems to have decided to chill out at her house while she was away unaware of the arrangement. Which then leads to a few mishaps and ruining a scrapbook that her friend was working on. This time away from her normal life is going to be a pretty interesting one.
This book defiantly got some summer vibes which I enjoyed and think you readers will do. I really enjoyed getting to know Cora and Trent and they had plenty chemistry in this book with plenty of steamy times. I loved seeing the mishaps and such because clearly Cora is a bit of mess but that made the book all the more enjoyable. I thought it was interesting getting to see what Cora went thought that led her to even do this swap I mean its pretty far what could she be running from. There was very little drama, some fun mishaps, and plenty of romance to keep the readers hooked. Summer will be ending soon so your gonna want to put this on your tbr list.
Patterson's Bluff would be a place I would love to visit. Cora and Liv switch homes for 1 month. When Cora first gets to Liv's home she is in for a few surprises. Both Trent and Cora are very likable. I liked that Cora was not the typical rich girl and was looking for her true self. She isn't afraid to try new things and to make up for her own mistakes. Their relationship is easy going although they have a few funny episodes happen. They both grow with the other helping them. Sweet and sometimes steamy read.
Cora Cabot has spent a life time trying to earn her parents love and approval. After the break up with her fiancé has left her more defeated, she heads to Australia to get away from it all, focus on revising her book and hopefully reboot her life.
Trent Walters is a builder and general handyman, always putting everyone else's needs before his own. He has his own scars from a previous relationship.
This book is filled with wonderfully sweet and fun moments but both characters have inner demons that plague them.
Cora has these wonderfully brilliant moments as she emerges from being a shy, quiet woman but they are overshadowed by an inner voice telling her she's not good enough for most of the book. I really would have enjoyed this book more if both Cora and Trent's self discoveries and belief in themselves had happened earlier in the book.
I loved the epilogue, it was a highlight of the book and I wished there was more of that in the main part of the book. I also detested Cora's parents and really wanted to see her drop kick them out of her life.
I received a free copy of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving a review. If you like my reviews I hope you will follow my blog.

As I close out this beautiful Sunday, I have to gush about 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 by Stefanie London.
Thank you to @tlcbooktours and @entangled_publishing for the gifted e-galley! I saved this book for just about last on my August TBR because I knew I’d fly through it!
A truly cute romcom about Cora Cobalt who agrees to house swap with her friend from Australia in exchange for a change in scenery to escape her life which seems to be falling apart. When Cora arrives she finds her friend’s home is not empty, in fact, her friend’s brother, Trent is there...Trent wanting to surprise his sister is taken by surprise himself when he finds his sister’s house flooded by no one other than Cora! Things blossom from there as you can expect but in such a sweet way!
To the book that made me wish I was jet setting to a beach somewhere, in particular Australia (minus the mention of a huntsman 😳😱 - GOOGLE AT YOUR OWN RISK)...I loved the build up between Cora and Trent and the ease of writing. Cora (parents) and Trent (cheating ex) both battling their own pasts, leaned into one another in perfect timing. This RomCom has perfect pacing to me and while not the longest read, nothing in my opinion was missing. Every now and then, that’s exactly what I need in a book! 𝘏𝘦𝘳 𝘈𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘺 is a super quick little romcom that is the perfect binge worthy Sunday read.
I’m not on the beach right now ( a girl can dream) but this would be the perfect beach read too!! Have you read any of Stefani London’s books? This for sure won’t be my last!
This is book 2 in London's Patterson’s Bluff series, and it can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. I did not read book 1, and while I now want to read Angie and Jace’s story, I do not feel like I missed anything in Trent and Cora’s story. I also don’t feel like there were spoilers about the first book, so will be happy to read it.
This is a straight-forward contemporary romance about Cora, from NYC, and Trent, a builder from Patterson’s Bluff (on the coast of Australia). Cora is friends with Trent's sister, and they decide to swap houses for a month. Trent didn’t know this, and he’d planned on staying in his sister’s house while he did some renovations for her. There definitely was a meet cute, and Cora and Trent decided to be roommates for the month. This was slow burn, forced proximity (sort of)and really nice. They took the time to get to know each other and then challenge and support each other's growth. It was steamy- at least 🔥🔥🔥🔥/5. It was also very sweet, felt hopeful, and made me smile.
Thanks to Entangled and NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
Stefanie London has created a small town romance with a wonderful cast of characters that delivers a fun and emotional read! A house-swap with an unexpected roommate fill this story with humor, heat, and heart, all while bringing together two people who desperately need to find what the other has to offer.
I immediately fell in love with Cora. Even though she has escaped to Australia to heal a part of herself that she thinks is broken, it’s easy to see that the only thing broken is her perception of herself. She’s had an awful upbringing and has always just wanted to live up to the expectations that she has created for herself. I loved watching her find herself as she lets herself have fun and explores a relationship with Trent. Trent is a fun-loving guy who everyone misjudges but never does anything to dispel his persona as the town charmer – that is until Cora sees exactly who is behind the easy-going nature that Trent always puts forth. The chemistry was immediate between these two, and I loved how Trent could see how important it was for Cora to be the one who decided how or if their relationship should move past a friendship into some vacation fun. It was clear these two had feelings that went way past the no-strings attached fun they both said they wanted, and even though I was a bit disappointed towards the end how things played out initially – I was hoping for more from Trent – by the end it was clear that the way things played out was exactly how they needed to in order for Trent and Cora to have a happily ever after they deserved.
The supporting cast of characters was wonderful. Trent’s family was awesome and so supportive of him, and their reaction to the secret that was revealed was exactly how I thought they would react – just perfect! Cora’s parents were just awful and it was clear why she had so many issues once her story was told. I was so happy she was able to begin dealing with all the baggage that her parents had created for her! It looks like there are more stories to be told about Trent’s family and perhaps some of his friends, and I look forward to seeing what’s next for Patterson’s Bluff.
Stefanie London has a writing style that is easy to read yet still conveys the emotions of the characters. I enjoyed the banter between the characters and loved how the dialogue stayed true to the characters throughout. This was a fun read that had the characters work hard for their happily ever after and had such a satisfying ending and a wonderful epilogue to tie everything up.
This would make a great summer beach read or just good book to grab when you are looking for humor, heart, and heat!
Cora is used to being rejected by her parents but when her father criticizes the project she worked so hard on she has hit a new low. The opportunity to switch houses with her friend couldn’t have come at a better time as spending the summer in Australia will give her the chance to regroup but her friend’s brother was a surprise she wasn’t expecting.
Trent knew that his sister would be away, so he wanted to surprise her by completing some renovations to her home while she was gone. Finding Cora in the house was a surprise he wasn’t expecting especially when she appears to leave chaos in her wake.
What started out as an arrangement to become roommates and to work together to complete not only the house but a gift for his parents as well soon becomes much more but with their time together having an expiry date is there any other way for this to end but in heartbreak?
These two are exactly what each other needs in their life as Trent showed Cora that she was perfect just the way she was while she shows Trent that there is more to life than the way he has been living it. Fun and flirty I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold and there is a great cast of secondary characters to enhance the story.
Such a fun nook. Author knows how to capture an audience from the beginning with quick whit and memorable characters.
This was exactly what I needed to end my summer with! I could picture myself in Paterson's Bluff in Australia. The setting was really took center stage, considering the main female lead was only there due to a house swap situation. Think the movie, The Holiday with Kate Winslet & Cameron Diaz but it's summer. This is technically part of a series but can be read as a standalone.
This was a sweet summer beach read. The writing made the story light-hearted and fun.
My only qualm was that the story/pacing was so slow. Not only that, but not too much happens plot wise. However, this isn’t meant to be filled with drama. It’s main focus is being a cute beach, escapism read and it certainly succeeds at that.
Thank you to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing and the author for letting me read an early edition of this book. I will definitely have to pick up the first one.
Although this is Book #2 in the series, I was told it can be read as a standalone. The plot reminded me a lot of the movie The Holiday with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz.
Cora grew up with every luxury you could ever imagine. She grew up in the spotlight having a famous mother who made sure the family was known, but not always in a good way. Dumped by her boyfriend and having her father tell her she's not the writer she thinks she is, Cora feels beaten down. When her friend Liz ,who lives in Australia, gets an internship in NYC the idea of swapping houses comes up, and off Cora flies to the land down under. This will give Cora the break she needs from the spotlight and time to work on her manuscript. That is the plan until Liz's undeniably gorgeous older brother, Trent, shows up unannounced.
The chemistry between Cora and Trent is HOT! I don't like a slow burn romance, so thankfully this wasn't one of them. Trent breaks Cora out of her shell and gives her the childhood experiences she never had such as playing a sport and throwing her a birthday party. Just as soon as Cora feels like she finally belongs, it's time to go, but what is she going back to? Her parents messy divorce, an empty apartment and a job she doesn't love. What would have happened if she stayed? This was such a fun read! Cora and Trent's relationship will tug at your heartstrings, and you'll want to scream at Cora when she leaves Australia to go back to her old life.
In Her Aussie Holiday, Ms London returns us to Patterson Bluff in Australia and the Walters family. This time we
are with youngest brother, Trent.
In a very original meet cute, he is paired with American (and his sister’s friend) Cora. I liked Trent and Cora. Both came to their interactions with baggage that was impacting everything around them. It was interesting to see them push each other to grow while also watching to see if they would give into the spark around them.
There are several emotional topics touched on, but these really make the characters more human and real. Having now read two stories around the Walters siblings, I am curious about everyone else!
What a sweet story! Cora and Trent both blossomed into their true selves while helping the other. I loved their instant friendly connection. Trent was so welcoming to Cora on her first day in Australia. Their friendship, along with a little attraction, grew from there. Cora became more bold, self confident, ready to follow her dreams. Trent is this beautiful hearted man who so freely gave of himself to everyone. I adored that about him. He is downright sweet, gentle, flirtatious, hardworking, and a whole lot sexy. I loved his character. Cora and Trent firmed a strong bond to where they could be brutally honest with each other and yet, still encouraging. I loved the individuals they became and swooned over the couple they turned out to be.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.
A sweet small town summer romance. Cora needs a break and Liv needs a place to stay in New York, so the two decide to do a house swap. Cora is so elated when she gets to the little isolated cottage in Australia, that is until she starts the shower and the water starts going everywhere. Fortunately for her Liv’se older brother Trent missed the memo that his sister was letting someone stay at her house. Thinking he will camp out on his sister’s couch He is surprised to find someone in the cottage and even more surprised to see the water spraying everywhere. But Trent acts quickly gets the water shut off and the two of them begin to clean up the damage. I’m sure you know where this story is going, but the journey getting there was so fun. A gorgeous setting, charming characters, adorable banter, all the feels, what more can you ask for from a romance?
This book was pure magic. I adored both of these characters so much. Cora was just so kind and caring, I felt for her and her insecurities. Her parents were not very supportive and her mother was despicable. Trent on the other hand comes from a loving supportive family, but he’s got a secret. He’s also got rock hard abs and a heart of gold. Now I have to admit it was a little awkward for me reading about a male love interest named Trent because that is my oldest son’s name. Of course I do think Trent was a great guy, because you know his name is Trent. LOL! But seriously these two were adorable together and I was really rooting for them the entire time.
This book in emojis 🐛 🚿 🦜 🏏 🍑 🎂 🏖 🛠 📖 🦋
*** Big thank you to Entangled Publishing for my gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own. ***
Such a fun read!!! I loved the chemistry between the characters and it was so funny!!! I was laughing out loud many times during the story. This is the perfect book to escape in and I highly recommend it!!!
A perfect summer time vacation read! I really enjoyed this one. Cora is a typical New York city girl struggling to make it as an author under the heavy thumb of her father, the owner of a literary agency who doesn't share Cora's dream. After a failed relationship and a bad review of her most recent manuscript from her father, she does a house swap with her dear friend from Down Under to do some rewriting. Once in Australia, Cora begins to really learn who she is and what she truly wants in her life. A miscommunication and some awkward circumstances bring Trent into the picture. The brother of the friend who Cora swapped houses with who needs a place to say is the perfect Australian specimen of a man. Cora and he end up in a perfect rom com conundrum, bringing them both much more than either bargained for, but exactly what each of them needed. This book was super fun and easy to read and very reminiscent of The Holiday in its house swap/ romance theme. I would recommend to anyone who likes a steamy romance with a substantial plot. Christina Lauren, Abby Jimenez and Sally Thorne fans will all enjoy!
Another fantastic story by Stefanie London. I loved revisiting Patterson's Bluff and the Walters family. As per her writing style, the characters Stefanie writes are well developed and completely fleshed out. Trent and Cora are beautiful together. They are both like onions - so many layers to peel away. Their romance was very organic. Again, I was left wanting to know more about several secondary characters - so Miss Stefanie, I truly hope you are writing more in this series!
It also was enjoyable to read the Aussie slang. When Trent mentions what was on the barbecue he names Capsicum. I had no idea what this was and had to look it up. It is pepper by the way. Who knew it was called something completely different it other parts of the world. Again, not only a great read an informative one.
Please write more Patterson Bluff books, cause I want to read them.
Received as an ARC from Netgalley and Entangled Press. Thank you so much.
