This is definitely a fun and sweet beach read! It was great to be transported back to Patterson's Bluff. We get to visit with some characters from the Aussie Next Door, which I enjoyed but this is standalone so you won't feel lost if you haven't read that book.
Cora Cabot's life is not panning out the way she'd hoped. So she swaps homes with her Australian friend takes an internship in the States. It'll only be a month but she plans to work on the manuscript her father rejected and get some space from the relationship her mother essentially destroyed.
She wasn't expecting to meet hunky Trent Walters who finds her flooding his sister's house and destroying the family project she was working on. She insists on helping him fix the damage she caused and recreating the scrapbook. Which only helps endear her to him.
He knows she'll have to return to the States maybe he can convince her to stay and give them a shot.?
Thanks so much to Entangled Publishing for inviting me to read this ARC and NetGalley
This is a book that is a bit of a slow burn so please persevere with it in the beginning Cora works for her father a literary agent who has broken her heart rejecting her first attempt at a novel he says he is doing it for her own good She decides she needs a break from her high powered life in New York and decides to house swap with her best friend from Australia. Things don't work out so well When she arrives she just about destroys her friends bathroom her friends brother Trent thinks that she is a home invader Luckily they work it out and Trent tells her he is going to rejuvenate Liz's home while she is away. Cora is all in to help this isn't because Trent is hot not at all Soon these two are heating up the sheets but they know it is only a holiday fling or will it become so much more You will have to read to see
I loved Her Aussie Holiday! Cora leaves her life in Manhattan to house swap with her friend down under. She gets more than she bargained for when she gets there and realizes Liv’s brother Trent is staying in her house too.
Cora and Trent are the cutest! They each have some things to work through and watching them grow and evolve was really fun. They bring out the best in each other and help each other to realize their dreams. This is the perfect beach read. I loved the Australian setting. Joe is the funniest character (when you read it you’ll know!), and Cora and Trent have the perfect chemistry- manifested in some steamy scenes.
This is the second book in the “Patterson’s Bluff” series and a delightful continuation that includes two sexy characters being forced to share a home, while experiencing the ups and downs of learning to live a fuller life. A flirty and adventurous romance that captured my attention and made my heart ache.
Blurb: Cora, who is just plain exhausted with the drama in her life, decides to swap houses with her friend who lives in Australia. What she expected to be a relaxing and solitary vacation, ends up being filled with adventure and a housemate, who just so happens to be her friend’s brother. Passions ignite and their budding friendship turns into so much more.
This one can be read as a stand-alone and was a tender surprise for me! I didn’t read the first book and I wasn’t lost at all. I didn’t expect to fall so completely in love with these two characters. Cora and Trent are struggling to find themselves, but continue to love and forgive despite the rejection they’ve faced. The two bring out the best in each other and some of my favorite moments involved glitter, scrapbooking, and Trent throwing Cora a birthday party. A sweet summer romance with a relaxing Australian setting. I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
Her Aussie Holiday is a fabulous fun read. Cora is running away and trying to catch her breath again after the harsh criticism from her father. You totally get the Holiday feeling when it comes to Cora swapping houses with Liv for her getaway. She never expected to find Trent. Trent is Liv's contractor brother who works on her house while she is away. You will giggle over and over again when it comes to Trent and Cora, as well as Joe. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. This Aussie adventure is so hot and fun to read. I flew through the pages and ended up with a huge smile on my face. You will just love Cora and Trent so much.
Another great addition to this series! Cora house swaps with her friend Liv and spends a month in Australia to work on the novel she hopes to publish one day. Trent is Liv’s brother and also decides to stay at Liv’s not realizing she had done the swap.
Trent and Cora each have their own family issues and their journey to discover how to deal and be happy is very sweet. Great romance and appearances by Jace and Angie and the whole family from the first book. However, this can easily be read as a stand-alone. Can’t wait for more in the series.
Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley.
This was a very entertaining and engaging story, I had to read it in one sitting because it was just that good!
Loved this book. Was exactly the sweet romantic story I needed to read after a stressful day. Will be stocking and handselling at the store. Looking forward to more.
Trent can’t take any more of his roommate’s bedroom noises and decides to stay at his sisters place while she is away and do some renovations while there. What he doesn’t know is that his sister, Liv has swapped apartments with her friend Cora, who will also be living there for a month. Cora is in need of a break and Australia seems the perfect place for it. They end up sharing the house after she accidently floods the place and insists on helping fix the place and restore a family project that got destroyed by the water.
Her Aussie holidays is an amazing, hot, emotional and funny read with its share of some deep emotional moments. It is a well written and beautiful story about finding yourself, heartache, and finding the one to balance you out.
This was my first Stefanie London book and I absolutely adored it. It has all the right "feels" to it - I laughed, I commiserated, and I cried (happy tears). It was an easy read and it kept me entertained the entire time.
Cora lives in NYC and needs a break from her life - her engagement is off after her mother's bad behavior, her parents are going through a very public divorce, and her career has stalled before it ever began. She and an online friend from Australia decide to switch residences for a month giving her time to get her life in order.
As luck would have it, she arrives in Australia and goes to her friend's house for the next month, but finds it occupied. Her friend's brother, Trent, decided to surprise his sister by remodeling her house while she was gone. He planned to stay there also. No big deal - he and Cora can just room together during that time, right? I'm sure it's not a problem that Cora is a dead ringer for his ex-girlfriend, the one that truly broke his heart.
Read this story to find out how this all went down - both characters experienced growth (thrown in with learning how to love themselves also), healing, and finally taking charge of their own lives. It was an enjoyable journey.
I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.
I chose to read this book purely because of the author as I'd read The Aussie Next Door and loved it. I didn't read the blurb so I had no idea that this was set in the same town and part of the same series (though can completely be read as a stand-alone). It didn't take me long to remember Trent from the first book though and I was so excited to read his story!
Cora is on a much-needed break. Visiting Australia is her means to escape her recent breakup, her failing career and her parents. She needs to mend and rejuvenate and the seaside town seems the perfect place. Her first introduction to Patterson's Bluff does not go so well but it sure is memorable!
The chemistry between Cora and Trent is instant and undeniable, though they both try to deny it of course, as neither of them are in the market for a relationship. I enjoyed the push and pull between these two.
Trent is known about town as a 'charmer', a ladies man who is only out for fun. He's gotten so used to playing the part that he's started to believe it himself. But there is so much more than meets the eye; Trent has to be one of the most generous, considerate, and genuine Aussie blokes you're likely to read. You cannot help but fall in love with him! And fell I did! I fell in love with the whole story!
I read this book in one day as I couldn't put it down! A well-written and beautiful journey of self-discovery, heartache, and finding that one thing that helps you mend. I cannot wait for more of this series!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book, given to me by the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I really liked Cora. Probably for all the same reasons Trent did. She was hopeful, joyful, enthusiastic, kind, and responsible. It took me a little longer to understand Trent's character. Town charmer was never really my type, mask or no. I've known a few. Loyalty and trust were always big things I needed in a relationship. But Cora wasn't opposed to a fling, and they were up front with what they thought they wanted. So I enjoyed watching them both fall. And Trent was more and more likable as his vulnerabilities became evident. I always like it when the author shows some of the male perspective. The romance often feels less one sided that way. I really enjoyed this book. There's a quirky sense of humour throughout that I found entertaining.
Escaping NYC to Australia- who wouldn't want to do that? I love that the author is a native Australian but has lived in various places around the world because there are little extras woven throughout the book that only she could add. Some steam but not over the top, so a lighter feel romance.
The first book was wonderful and this second book did not disappoint. I loved this beautiful and emotional story. These two characters were simply wonderful. I recommend this book, series, and author.
When a friend from Australia attains an internship stateside, Cora sees the potential in taking time for herself. She suggests a house swap. She never knew how much this time would change her life. As she settles into her life she meets Trent and everything shifts. She is making changes and deciding where her life will take her.
You need to read Her Aussie Holiday!
If you want a great contemporary romance, this is the book to read!
Cora Cabot swapped her apartment in Manhattan for her friend’s house in Patterson's Bluff, Australia for a month so she could work on the book she has always wanted to write. Trent Walters assumed his sister’s house would be empty while she was in New York City so he could stay there while he worked on the house. Just what could happen during the house swap in in Patterson’s Bluff? Maybe fall in love!
Her Aussie Holiday by Stefanie London is fun with a hunky Aussie construction worker and someone who has always lived in the city and some fish out of water experiences.

4/4.5
Performance-anxiety-ridden Cora has swapped her glitzy New York apartment for her Australian online buddy Liz’s fixer-upper for a month. Cora works for her high powered dad, a literary agent, who recently read and rejected her first novel, giving her the tough-love letdown that he felt was best coming from him rather than a rough industry. (And the least said about Mommy Dearest, the better.)
So Cora arrives at Liz’s funky house way out in the countryside, feels stress slipping away . . . until she tries to take a shower and the plumbing springs a spectacular leak. Cue Liz’s hot brother Trent walking in right then—thinking she’s an invader.
But the misunderstanding doesn’t last long. Trent demonstrates his awesomeness by taking Cora, and the situation, in stride. He’s a construction worker, determined to make Liz’s house over for her before she comes back. He and Cora decide to stay there together—of course it helps that they are instantly attracted to one another.
And so things begin to unfold in the way one expects a romance to unfold, including going from vertical to horizontal by mid-book, and leading toward the “this is only a vacation, what happens here stays here” conversation that doesn’t quite mask the hurt before we reach the HEA. There is a secret or two discovered, but for the most part, the story follows romance tropes in a thoroughly enjoyable fashion, right down to the lively, enjoyable side characters.
I enjoyed this story, especially the first half as we got to know the Australian characters, and Cora tried to cope with the klutziness that can spring from the sort of toxic upbringing she’d been subjected to while surrounded by wealth and power. The second half pretty much coasted on this buildup, with a single secret driving things—which was fine. If the reader is looking for an entertaining, low-stress summer read, this book will fit the bill. But I couldn’t help wishing the author’s excellent writing skills had delved a bit deeper into both characters’ damages, so we’d have the pleasure of seeing their growth. From the quality of the prose, she’s definitely got the chops.
This was a fun book to read. The title of the book is the opening for the story. House swapping between two acquaintances/friends between New York City and Australia dove you right into the "Holiday". Pretty easy read but I did enjoy it very much. Great summertime fun for the beach or pool!
I loved this story! Cora was a bid damaged and ready to get away to find herself. Trent had his own issues with his life (no spoilers). Their meet cute was awesome! The glitter mishap was hilarious. They worked together to fix the album, and they learned how to move forward together.
This is an enjoyable story about two people that put on a happy facade to cover up emotional wounds. Cora Cabot is coming off a broken engagement and emotionally absent parent and needs to get away from her life. She swaps houses for a month with her friend Liv Walters from Patterson’s Bluff Australia. Cora doesn’t know that Liv’s brother,Trent, was planning on staying in the house while she was gone. These are two kindred spirits that hold people at a distance to keep their hearts safe. While both main characters are a bit broken, watching their growth as people and as a couple was satisfying. This was the second book in the Patterson’s Bluff series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
