I have to admit that I didn’t like Braden. We see a few things that were redeeming, but I still was on the fence. Skye didn’t judge, but she knew what she wanted. She needed confidence. I loved that he became her cheerleader. I can’t wait to see what’s next. I might have started out unsure, but now I want the next part of the story, 🖤

I totally loved this book. First of the cover is just so mysterious and sexy, and it describes the book really well, I totally knew what I was getting myself when I started reading this, and ooh la la, did I love it. It is good erotica in my opinion.

One avoids relationships entirely while the other has limited experience. Both want control but one must submit to get what they want.

The push and pull between Braden and Skye is a roller coaster of emotions and while I am not a fan of cliffhangers, I anxiously await for Follow Me Under.

What is Braden hiding?

What do you do when your boss tells you to avoid one of her former boyfriends that really seems to be interested in you? Skye Manning was happy being influencer Addison Ames’s assistant but when billionaire Braden Black shows up at her office to see her boss and he made it obvious he was interested in Skye.

This book was so good and kept you wanting more and it absolutely did not let you down. The book has a great story line and has you constantly wondering in the back of your mind what Braden is hiding (especially with Addie) but the erotic scenes leave you blushing and very warm. This book was a definite page turner and I couldn't put it down, but the end leaves you wanting so much more and now we wait till the next book!

Wow - just wow. A tumultuous story of what it exactly means to give up control while still being true to yourself. Braden and Skye were captivating and their interactions in and out of the sheets had me a true believer in needing the perfect combination of give and take in any relationship. As with all of Helen Hardt's other series the reader certainly feels the same - I NEED more of this storyline....NOW!!

My newest obsession! I could not put this book down Braeden Black is my newest billionaire boyfriend! He is possessive and demanding and in contention to knock Christian Grey and Gideon Cross off the top of the Hunky book billionaire pyramid.

This story instantly grabbed my attention and did not let go. Braeden goes after what he wants until he gets it, and he decided instantly that Skye is what he wants. Skye does not make it easy for him, which is probably one of the things he likes about her. She stands her ground, demands what she wants, and sets her terms. There are no NDAs or Contracts, social media actually plays a large role in this story which I found very interesting. Braeden encourages social media posting when they are together and helps sky build her confidence.

The bedroom scenes are the reasons romance books are written! Braeden keeps it spicy without stepping over any taboo lines, but you get the feeling he might want to take a walk on the darker side.

The best part about this story is the mystery of the events that occurred between Braeden and Skye's boss Addison Aimes (professional influencer- told you social media was a big part of the story). Addison is a woman scorned and I am desperate to know exactly what happened. I yelled out loud when this book ended because I can't believe I have to wait for the next one

Hot, sexy story that leaves you needing a cold shower!! Fantastic read that you must indulge yourself in!!

This was fine for the first half - short and choppy sentences, predictable plot, nothing new - and then the second half just seemed to steadily decline in enjoyability. Skye is an assistant to an influencer but wants to be a photographer, and she is determined to maintain control over all aspects of her life, following rules she's established for her behavior. Self-made billionaire Braden Black - who Skye's boss thinks is bad news, but won't tell Skye why - is determined to make Skye lose control when it comes to sex, and is very persistent in pursuing her. Skye needs to figure out what she's comfortable with in and out of the bedroom, and figure out why her boss thinks it's such a bad idea to be involved with Braden.

First off, this has a CLIFFHANGER. It is not a standalone novel. In my opinion, romance books that end with a cliffhanger need to say that clearly in the cover matter and marketing materials, because romance books are just about always standalone stories when it comes to the protagonists' relationship. This isn't.

Including the bit where it ends on a cliffhanger, this gave me major Fifty Shades vibes, but without alllllll the plot - Fifty Shades had more plot build-up before the sex started, while Follow Me Darkly has sex early on. The writing felt similar, and the dom/sub dynamics felt grossly similar too. Braden is insistent on being completely in control in the bedroom, and Skye argues with him every step of the way (why is it supposed to be sexy if both partners aren't ecstatic about every aspect of the sex they're having??). Skye is unable to have an orgasm without Braden, which feels like the new "virgin heroine" trope, same as her being inexperienced with kinky sex. Braden introduces Skye to a whole new world of orgasms and bondage, and Skye makes Braden break his rules about not dating. Braden is a self-made billionaire, just like Grey; he makes exceptions for Skye, just like Grey; and Skye is an orgasm virgin, just like Anastasia has never had sex or masturbated before. The sex scenes all felt recycled, like I've seen them in exactly that form many times in romance, and so this book really doesn't bring anything new to the table.

So, in short: cliffhanger ending, recycled sex scenes, reads a lot like Fifty Shades if Fifty Shades had more sex from early on.

Wow, 10 stars ......looks like I found me a new favorite author...... this book was excellent, it just grabbed hold of me from the start...... fell in love with Skye and I just want everything to work out for her and Braden Black ..his name just oozes sexy ness...... the only down side is I have to wait till January 26 for the next book to see what happens ....yes a cliffhanger here but that’s ok I don’t want this story to end

Okay hold on while I get a cold drink of water, because holy moly this book is HOT! I have read most of Helen Hardt's books, and I have to say that this one was by far the most compelling to me. If you loved the Fifty Shades trilogy, you will devour this book. It is going to be delicious torture waiting until January for the next one in the series!

Well okay, when I chose this book to read because of the description and the cover I thought it was a psychological thriller-(my go to) but it was far from it. That being said it turned out to be an erotic mysterious, can't put it down interesting read.
The only problem I had with it was how it left off leaving me wanting more, so you know I'll be reading more in this series and following this Author and her other works!

Just like all other Helen Hardt books I have read, this one did not disappoint. Skye is an aspiring photographer that works taking pictures for an Instagram influencer. While at work, she has a chance meeting with self-made billionare Braden Black. The two are instantly attracted to one another, and Braden tries to convince Skye to follow and submit to him. Skye is determined to make it work with him and be his girlfriend despite knowing very little about him and learning that he has a dark side. Great read with lots of hot scenes.

I love billionaire stories. I love that with in these stories the struggle is that the one thing they can’t get or control is a relationship. It is something that is free to all but these billionaires seems to lack the skill to make it work while most other aspects of their lives seem achievable. No all relationships are a business deal and when a strong character steps up and fights back and demands more from them it creates a power struggle.
This story started typically for a contemporary romance. There are some great characters in the story. Addison Ames, the heiress and Instagram influencer who is the demanding boss of a want to be photographer Skye. Skye comes off as naive, however I don’t know that is the exact word that describes her. She likes control and living in her relatively small social circle. She seems to be ok with being in the background. She has a voice but for a reason we aren’t sure of yet she won’t speak up.
In walks Braden Black. This man is a force who is going after what he wants. His own rags to riches story have some wholes in it. He is extremely guarded and even entering a mutual relationship with Skye we don’t have a lot to go on. Braden is a man who likes control. He wants the power. He seems to slowly pick away at Skye’s control until he owns all the power in their dynamic. There is something about Skye that draws him in.

This author has a magical way she tells her stories, and this is a great example of that. She clouds her characters in mystery and the reader is left to puzzle things out. The way she crafts the story leaves you wanting more. More answers, more interactions, more everything! This is a super-steamy sexy read that includes a little taste of erotica and BDSM. It is the perfect storm of desire and control. The momentum of this story is compelling but just when you are ready for the intensity and the steam we are tossed right into the cliffhanger. Captivating storyline that will keep you engaged. Character connection that have you wanting more and knowing little. Sexy times that put enough steam of the pages you might be shifting in your seat.
I am perplexed at this story. I enjoyed it overall, but I hate a cliff hanger. I was drawn to Braden but there are moments where I want to shake him. Skye is engaging. I like her. I want so much for her and her character. She is relatable on so many levels. Her back story and issues with pleasure are intriguing but I want to understand her more.
I was engaged from page one. I could not put the story down. I am still trying to puzzle out the characters and am still perplexed by them. I also can’t wait for book 2 (hurry up January) This is a 5/5 read for me. He ticked off a lot of my wants and desires in a story.

Helen Hardt is an author I already follow and have read most of her books. She's fantastic! I cannot wait for the next installment of the series. This was fabulous!

I did not know what I was in for when I started this book. This story had such sweet moments as well as some extremely hot & steamy scenes with such strong characters that I couldn’t put this book down. And, I’m patiently impatiently waiting for the next book in this series!! Both Skye and Braden have strong control issues; but, will they give up a bit of control for the other and their potential relationship? I can’t wait to find out!

Blown away to say the least! If I could give this book more stars I would! Tess and Braden are explosive together.... I don't know if I can wait for the next book in this series.... Helen Hardt left me wanting more of Braden Black! So worth reading.. A must have!

This is the first of Ms. Hardt’s books that I have read. I was a little unsure if it was “ for me” when I started it, but I very quickly fell in love with Skye.
Giving up total control is a hard undertaking, and Ms. Hardt makes the reader understand the duality of that notion.
The characters are all well written, and you don’t want their adventure to end when it does!
I am looking forward to the next volume!

Wow, where is my fan at? This book was so hot and steamy I'm still trying to catch my breath. I couldn't put this book down. I read it in 1 day and I couldn't stop until I was finished. Once I was finished I immediately went and pre-ordered not just Follow Me Darkly but the other 2 books as well!!!

I can relate to Skye a lot because I'm from a very small town in Kansas and isn't Braden Black so delicious?

If you loved 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy, then you will be dying for this book! It has the steamy scenes that you would love but the story is absolutely enthralling! I felt like it was such a perfect balance of erotica and plot. The characters had a lot of depth to them, even the elusive Braden Black who doesn't give much out about himself. He didn't seem so closed off.

I can't wait to continue their story. When this book releases and it's in my mailbox, I plan on reading it all over again!
