I've been working through some older titles on my reading list, and this one caught my attention. This is my generic review for books where too much time has passed for me to recall very specific details, but this is what stood out in my memory. Overall, I found it to be a decent read. The character development is well-executed, giving the story depth and making the characters relatable. The pacing of the narrative is steady, keeping me engaged without feeling rushed or drawn out. While it may not be a standout favorite, it's a solid book that I'm glad to add to my library

While predictable, this story was an enjoyable quick read. Tracy is helping Brad with taking his sister back from his step-dad who Brad claims "snatched" her and that no one was helping him. Since this is a teen story it was very quick and does not go into a lot of detail about some of the things that happen but that's okay. I've liked most of the books I've read by Lois Duncan but this one was not my favorite of the bunch.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I've read Lois Duncan as a teen and enjoyed most of her work. Reading her at this age felt a bit weird though. The story is easy to read but very typical. Kids would like it though.

I'm sorry I was not able to read and review this book before it was archived, due to serious health issues.

This really won't work for the grade school kids, but it sure kept my attention. It would definitely work in a mid or high school. It's scary enough to give to a kid who wants a scary book, but probably not scary enough to worry that they'll come back and tell you about their nightmares. Definitely a book that I would try to keep in the collection, no matter how many times it disappeared.

A super suspenseful YA novel from acclaimed author Lois Duncan, THE TWISTED WINDOW is a convoluted mystery that kept me breathless and my head metaphorically spinning as revelation after revelation unfolded and the plot twisted like a boa. The characters are well done and convincing and the conclusion is thought provoking.

I thought this novel was okay, not great and not bad. I read this kind of fast and the author had a good writing style. It just didn't give me something more.

If you want your next read to be an exciting young adult thriller, than this may just be the book you might want to grab. Following two teenagers, Brad and Tracy, it show their lives in third person. Starting out semi normal, Tracy goes to school and sees a new boy staring at her from a distance. Little does she know, that he doesn't go to the school that she does, and that he actually lives in another state. But he's come here to find someone just like her, and he won't stop until he gets her help.

Originally published in 1991 and rereleased in 2012, this book is only about 200 pages, tops. It's a quick read, but it really sucks you in. Although, I do have to say, I kind of called the story from about a third of the way through. Maybe that's just me being insightful. The characters are believable for their age, though Tracy's guardians got on my nerves a bit. They seemed kind of like the stereotypical annoying too many rules parents.

Overall, I didn't take a break while I was reading this. I think if you're looking for something thrilling and maybe a little different from your usual books, if you're like me and usually read some kind of science fiction or fantasy. It was a nice read, and although it's not my new favourite, I'm glad I read it. I think lots of people would like this book if they picked it up.

Thanks for reading!
