THE CHRISTMAS NOT-WISH BY SHELLEY SHEPARD GRAY

I loved how this story and the others in the book focus on twins and Christmas. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to raise twins. In this contribution to the book we meet two sweet adorable children named Jemima and Roy. They have been shuffled from foster home to foster home. My heart was so sad for these children who wanted someone to love them and make them part of their family.

When they are sent to live with E.A. and Will they hope that this will be their permanent home. E.A. and Will are caring and have fallen in love with the children already. When they tell the children sone exciting news, they begin to worry if they are going to be sent to a new home. With so many changes going on, the children think they aren’t wanted anymore.

The story is such a great reminder to trust and let other know how much you love them. It is a special Christmas as the children experience what unconditional love is and having their Christmas wish come true.

NEW BEGINNINGS BY RACHEL J. GOOD

I loved how the story opens in a shop as Elizabeth was unboxing ornaments. When Luke shows up with nativity scenes you can feel the excitement in the room. They have been carved by Luke and are the example of what Christmas is really about. I remember this year how much I wanted a nativity scene. Mine was ruined in a home that we lost due to damage this year. I did find a little one but I will start early next year to find the one I have my heart set n. I envisioned myself there as the nativity sets were unwrapped and watch as they were displayed by Elizabeth.

Luke has been longing for Elizabeth for years. He knows she is still grieving over what happened last Christmas but he hopes he can cheer her up some way. I wasn’t prepared for the accident that Elizabeth was in and it shocked me. Thanks to Luke he saved her from being seriously hurt. Now with a broken leg how will Elizabeth be able to work at the shop and pay her bills?

I love how the author touches on loss and how we can sometimes be angry with God. It is hard to understand why someone dies and Elizabeth is having difficulty this year with her husband who died. Luke tries to comfort her and explains that he understands how she feels. Her husband was Luke’s best friend. What Elizabeth doesn’t know is that Luke has been in love with Elizabeth for years.

At the ending to the story it is revealed that Elizabeth lost more than her husband and her grief has overwhelmed her. She felt safe enough to tell Luke and his gentle spirit helped her as she decided what to do with the things that had been tucked away in a room upstairs. I cried so much as 8bread this and want to thank the author for reminding us that there are women out there who are alone and need help as they give birth. A beautiful story that takes unexpected turns. It teaches us about pride, being honest with our feelings and the miracle of twins given to an unexpected couple.

TWINS TIMES TWO BY LOREE LOUGH

The two set of twin boys make this story so fun to read. The boys are always getting into trouble and now after someone was hurt by their antics, their parents have decided a punishment for them. They are to get up very early every day to help Jube at his farm. It is a very eye opening experience for the boys. I liked how they stand together and work to pay off their punishment. Along the way a friendship develops between the boys and Jube. I loved his patience with them and how he taught them valuable lessons.

Abigail has had a hard time since her husband passed. It was not a great marriage but she still grieves for her loss. Her anger towards Jub I thought was wrong but in her eyes she felt Jube should have told her what he knew about her husband. I was glad to see how God was changing both their hearts and finding out that maybe they could put the past behind them.

I won’t spoil the rest of the story so readers be prepared for a few surprises. The boys have certainly learned responsibility and shows in the gifts they give. Jube is my favorite character because instead of treating the boys as a nuisance he showed them grace and taught them how to help others. It is a beautiful Christmas story where two people also find that there is someone out there for them.

it was amazing

Amish Christmas Twins by Shelly Shepard, Gray Rachel J Good, and Loree Lough is a wonderful Christmas book then add in the fun twin addition and you have double the pleasure in all three of these stories. Although I really liked each of them as they all had a wonderful Storyline I connected the best with Rachel J Good’s story the best, it’s in this story I’m reminded that it’s alway best to give of oneself and in doing so your greatest blessing will be blessed upon you as well. New Beginnings is exactly that a re start to remind us that once we take the steps towards helping others our own troubles and healing will seem so much less and the new beginnings will happen right before our eyes.
In the Christmas Wish by Shelly Shepard Gray, it’s such a blessing to see how love can grow in leaps and bounds but sometimes you need to be reminded that a heart can expand to love more than just one or in this case two. You will fall in love with these precious twins Roy and Jemima Fisher and wish only the best for these two precious characters.
And in twins times two by Loree Lorgh wow all I can say is you will really fall in Love will both sets of these spunky twins and at the same time remember the age old saying many of our parents said to us, “ I hope you have a child just like you” all I can say is I believe many parents can take a lesson in parenting from this lesson Loree Lough wrote about, it’s a simple solution with wonderful results, God’s hand was guiding all these twins for sure and for certain. I highly recommend this wonderful Christmas book, I was gifted a ARC copy for my honest opinion.

Amish Christmas Twins is a collection of three Amish Christian novellas by three gifted authors: Shelley Shepard Gray, Rachel J. Good, and Loree Lough! Each of these amazing writers contributed a delightful, heart-warming tale. I loved that each of these inspirational romances featured children. They seem to make reading a bit more realistic and fun.

The writing in each tale is exceptional. I was transported to winter in Amish country. This is a fun way to experience multiple authors. I highly recommend this book. It gets a 5 star rating from me. A copy was provided by Net Galley but these are my own words.

This is an Amish Christmas story. This book as three short stories in it. The first short story is The Christmas Not-Wish. I have to say the beginning of the story makes you feel you where just dumped into the middle of the story, and the ending leaves a lot up in the air. I just wish for more. The next story in the book was my favorite one, and it is called New Beginnings. I loved the characters, and I felt for a short story it was very developed. The three story was just ok. I do love that all the stories has twins in them because I have twin boys. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Kensington Publishing Corporation) or author (Shelley Shepard Gray, Rachel J Good, and Loree Lough) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review about how I feel about this book, and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

A collection of three novellas, three Amish families each facing the joys and challenges with twins during the holidays. The stories are vastly different but all held my interest to the very last page.

I had delightfully enjoyed each novella written by each author. If you like Christmas tales with plenty of heart, then you will enjoy Amish Christmas Twins.

I had received a free copy of this book from NetGalley, no monetary exchange, only agreement was that I write an honest review of my own words. This is my review in my own words.

The reason I wanted to read this collection of novellas is because I adore Shelley Shepard Gray and I read everything she writes. I was pleasantly surprised to have found the novellas penned by Ms. Good and Ms. Lough to be equally enjoyable.

As you may have surmised, the stories are all about twins, each heartwarming, filled with characters who you’ll think of fondly long after you have finished reading this wonderful book.

I received a copy from the publisher through Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

What heart touching stories! With twin grandchildren they especially touched me. Kids in stories make the stories so much more realistic and relatable. These stories were hard to put down for numerous reasons. Family, childish beliefs and the Christmas season made for wonderfully heartwarming stories.

Amish Christmas Twins has three novellas by three authors, well-known for their good stories.
Shelley Shepard Gray's story, The Christmas Not-Wish, is about two orphans who finally find a home with a couple, only to discover that the couple is now having twins of their own. Jemima and Roy are devastated and sure sure that the family will not want them any longer. But EA and Will have enough room in their heart for four babies; they just have to convince the orphans of that fact.
In Rachel Good's New Beginnings, Elizabeth is mourning the loss of her husband and unborn child the previous year. As Christmas approaches, it is especially hard on her. Luke has loved Elizabeth from afar for many years. When she breaks her leg, he encourages and helps her deal with her loss. When she gives her baby items to the local center for pregnant teens, she may discover God has more for her than she ever imagined.
In Twins Times Two, Loree Lough delivers a funny story about two sets of twins that get into trouble more than not. When they cause problems at Jubal's house, their punishment is to help him for several weeks until they can pay their debt. Jubal and Abigail, his best friend's widow, are determined to help the boys, but also just as determined to avoid their feelings for each other. Can they both put the past behind them and look for the healing that only God can bring?
A delightful group of stories, just in time for Christmas. I really enjoyed them. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read them. All opinions are my own.

Just the right set of amazing stories to kick of the Christmas season.

The Christmas Not-Wish by Shelley Shepard Gray.
Will and E,A's hearts were the most endearing and sweet thing about this story. The end of the story brought tears to my eyes. Happy tears of course! It looked like they had bitten more than they could chew when they decided to foster Jemima and Roy but I loved their patience with the children and how they loved them unconditionally despite their antics. This story sure warmed my heart bringing the message of Christmas in all its goodness.

New Beginnings by Rachel J. Good
Anything Christmas reminded Elizabeth of all she lost and her pain was palpable through the pages of this book. I loved the story of how God rewrote her story of bringing more into her life than she had lost. The season of Christmas for her was one of restoration.

Twins Times Two by Loree Lough
Awwww these double twins were adorable as they were trouble. I loved how under the patient and loving mentorship of Jubal they became responsible. Jubal and Abby had history of a lot of hurt and pain but it was beautiful to read how they allowed God's healing and love to give them a beautiful future.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and this is my honest opinion.

What can be better than THREE Christmas stories, by 3 of my favorite authors....all in ONE book!!! This is a wonderful set of stories, each about twins, and incorporating the Christmas holiday!! The "Christmas Not-Wish" will take you into the journey of foster care and all the emotions that are, for both the parents and the children. The next story, "New Beginnings" will take on the emotional story of unexpected pregnancy and both it's heartache and blessings....your heart will be tugged by this one!! And the third story is, "Twins Times Two"....funny, funny, funny!! The perfect story to conclude this novel. The 2 sets of twin cousins can cause their own form of a tornado and then have the consequences of cleaning up the debris....you will love it and the laughter it brings!! So, get a comfy chair, a warm blanket, some hot tea and a lovely candle....sit back and ENJOY the journey through this book!!!

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, Kensington Books via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
