Three fun Christmas novellas. Nothing like a Christmas romance to make you smile.
Good stories, good primary and secondary characters, cowboys🤠
I got it because of Diana Palmer, but enjoyed Marina Adair, and Kate Pearce

I love a good Christmas story year round. From getting into the spirit of the season around the holidays or just a mental break from the heat if the summer, stories like these always put me in a good place. These stories are some the best.

I enjoyed all three of these books. Mistletoe Cowboy by Diana Palmer was wonderful. I never go wrong choosing a Diana Palmer book. They always have that big Texascharm.
Blame It On The Mistletoe is a quirky story. It’s got some very funny scenes and sad scenes too. I enjoyed it very much.
In Mistletoe Detour we have another charm is Christmas story. How can you go wrong when you have a little piggy in the book named bacon.💙 it’s charming and very funny at times.
Overall I enjoyed this book very much!

I am a really big fan of Christmas books and can read them anytime of the year. These were no exception. They held my interest from start to finish and can't wait to read more from these three authors. The stories had great characters and a great storyline. Who wouldn't want a cowboy for Christmas.

This was a great collection of novellas sure to get you into the holiday spirit. While this was the first story I've read by author Marina Adair, I have to say I will definitely be on the lookout for more of her novels. Since these were all novellas, I did get the feeling that they were part of larger series with established characters. However, despite only having read the other books in Kate Pearce's series, I had no trouble picking up the story lines for the other two novellas.

Three short, sweet romances set during the Christmas season. Kate Pearce is a favorite author of mine. And I'm sure the other two will be now also.

Mistletoe Cowboy by Diana Palmer 5+
Love this!! Parker is a great character, 100% man, very smart but not cocky, compassionate and very supportive. Teddie is a sweet young girl with a big heart and very independent. I think her mom is the best parent she can be but she has issues. Very well written, interesting and emotional story.
Blame it on the Mistletoe by Marina Adair 5*
This is sweet romance. My heart went out to Faith, she is so strong & giving. Noah maybe a lawman but he doesn’t know it all, she reminds him of some things he’s become overcast towards. She’s a survivor and a fighter. Very well written and emotional.
Mistletoe Detour by Kate Pearce 4*
Pretty good second chance for this couple. She’s his high school crush unbeknownst to her. He seems complacent with a big heart. They have great chemistry. Not really a fan of the anvil effect when new relationship couples that keep secrets from one another. I understand the trust needs to build this was a little awkward.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Marina Adair’s story Blame it on the mistletoe is by far the best story in this anthology. 5 stars. The characters were real, and they had clear cut goals. Her descriptions were vivid. The story was fun and heartwarming. I love their journey toward each other.
I struggled with Kate Pearce’s story, Mistletoe Detour. I thought the hero, Ted, had zero personality. I just didn’t feel the characters or the storyline. I struggled to even figure out what the character’s story goals were.
Diana Palmer’s story was just okay, as well. Most of the first chapter is all backstory and quite boring. Her writing style is kind of dull. There’s no sentence variation. I don’t know. I just wasn’t a fan of this story.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to review.

I was excited to learn that the Diana Palmer book brought readers back to Colorado.

The other two books ran a little slow, but I liked the opportunity to read books from authors I hadn't read before.

Diana Palmer brings us Parker, a cowboy who worked on a huge range in Benton, Colorado. Being part Crow often led to stereotypes from those he came in contact with who did not know that he graduated with a degree in physics, joined the military, and did government work during the summers. Parker meets Katy and her daughter Teddie when Teddie is chasing a horse galloping down the trail. We get to follow Katy and Parker as they get to know each other better. Will their pasts get in the way of their future? Will they realize the power of love before it is too late when assumptions are made and feelings are hurt.

Marina Adair brings us the return of Noah Tucker back home for the holidays. He runs into Faith who leaves him in front of the sheriff's station in Sweet Plains, Texas after helping to decorate the tree. Faith is trying to make sure her brother does not feel the prejudice of small towns especially with the past ingrained in their minds. Noah is a Texas Ranger prone to suspicious thoughts bringing him back to the place he spent his life trying to escape to help his brother. We get to watch Faith and Noah maneuver around the past to try and get to a future.

Kate Pearce brings us back to Morgantown, California and Ted Baker who is the only mechanic at the only garage and gas station in Morgan Valley. He gets called out to help the sheriff with a broken down vehicle and ends up meeting Veronica and Bacon, her pet pig. She ends up staying with Ted while they wait for his dad and her uncle to return from their vacation. During their wait, they decide to make it a Christmas to remember. But, how will they do this? How is Bacon involved and what is Veronica hiding from Ted? Will it be too late when all is told? Will they be able to get past all the barriers they set in front of them, or will they persevere and come out on the other side?

I enjoyed the stories from these authors and look forward to our next adventures. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Kensington Books for this privilege.

Christmas Kisses with My Cowboy
by Diana Palmer, Marina Adair, Kate Pearce

Three sweet, western themed novellas

“Christmas Kisses with My Cowboy” includes three sweet, western themed novellas.
MISTLETOE COWBOY, by Diana Palmer, introduces you to horse trainer Parker. Parker, an ultra-smart code breaker who does undercover work on the side for the government, befriends a new neighbor’s daughter while helping her learn about horses and gain the trust of her rescued, previously abused horse. This single guy, who doesn’t want much to do with anyone or anything besides horses, finds himself falling for the child’s mom, widow Katy.

BLAME IT ON THE MISTLETOE, by Marina Adair, introduces us to Faith who is doing all she can to reframe her family’s name in their small town of Tucker’s Crossing. When Texas Ranger Noah returns to town and his family ranch to connect with family, he just wants to get the holiday over with so he can return back to his home. Faith and Noah ended up connecting with one another – but is it enough to help them both?

MISTLETOE DETOUR, by Kate Pearce, finds tow truck driver Ted Baker rescuing his old high school friend, Veronica, and her pet pig, from a snowstorm. Arriving in town unexpectedly, the surprise is on Veronica when her uncle is out of town with Ted’s dad, for the holidays. Ted comes to the rescue again when the hotel is full for a local wedding. Ted’s always loved Veronica, but will Veronica stay in town or is she too busy escaping her past?

This novel is a quick and enjoyable read, however the condensed nature of the novellas led to unrealistic timelines, most especially in “Mistletoe Cowboy”. The novellas all appear to be spin offs from other novels by the writers, and while the books do stand alone, there is a lot of time spent in the small novellas setting the time and space of the stories into those story lines, that the time developing the current characters and storylines at times seem lacking. Each author has a beautiful writing style and will draw you into their descriptive writing. If you are looking for a light, quick, and easy read with Christmas undertones/themes, you will enjoy this collection.

*I received a free advanced copy of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

I enjoyed reading this book. I personally like to read a book with short stories on occasion. I found each story interesting and easy to follow. Also liked being able set the book down after each story, be able to do other things and then pick up with the next story at the next sitting.

3.5 stars

This was a cute book with three novellas by Diana Palmer, Marina Adair and Kate Pearce. It's hard to follow a romance through a novella as there really isn't enough time for trust to fully materialize. But I feel all three of these did as good a job as possible.

The first story by Diana Palmer dealt with a widowed mom and her young daughter who have moved near a bachelor native american. Their paths cross and they fall in love. Was it too soon too fast? yes, but since it was a novella, I guess that's to be expected.

The second story by Marina Adair was probably my favorite. A Texas Ranger comes home for the holidays after a 10 year absence - mainly because his mother passed away and he can't bear to face the memories. He runs into a girl he barely remembered from high school, but he is intrigued by her. Before the end, they fall in love.

The third story by Kate Pearce was cute - a recently divorced woman comes back to her hometown and her car breaks down. The tow truck driver sent to rescue her was the guy that crushed on her in high school. Since her uncle is out of town and wasn't expecting her, she has to stay with the tow truck driver and they fall in love. It was a cute story.

I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

This book contains 3 Christmas themed romances all set in small towns. The Diana Palmer novella is Western themed, but the other two are set in California (ie - no cowboys!). My favourite by a mile was Marina Adair’s novella, which has everything you could wish for in a holiday romance as well as her trademark quirky humour, which made it a delight to read. This is one I’ll definitely reread several times! I have to say that I did struggle a bit to feel an emotional connection with the characters in the other two novellas, so probably won’t be looking for more from those authors. Having said that, they were still enjoyable enough to stick with and finish.

3 cowboys stories in one book. Of the three, I love the story of Parker and Katy the most. While the story developed very well from beginning, I find that the ending is rather abrupt ended . Cant help but feeling loss when reading the ending.

Overall, it was a good read for me. 😬

All three are a very good read and kept me interested from beginning to the end.

Diana Palmer's Christmas Kisses with My Cowboy. Parker a horse trainer has a special touch with the horses, he ends up helping the neighbors daughter retrieve her runaway horse. When they return to the neighbors home he meets her mom Katy and instantly these two are attracted to each other. They have both been through some times times and will have more to endure but they learn to trust each other and in the process find a wonderful relationship. This was a really good story that i very much enjoyed.

Marina Adair's Blame it on the Mistletoe , this was a new author for me to read and I'm happy I had the chance. Faith is adorable and funny, even though she had a very hard childhood. Noah comes home to Tucker Crossing, a place he tries to stay away from since he only had bad history their. These two meet in a very funny way and soon Noah can't stay away from Faith. Fun Story.

Kate Pearce's Mistletoe Detour, To start wants not to love a pig named bacon who happens to be the main characters pet. LOVE IT! Veronica and Ted have history, quick moving story but a delightful one to read.
