I really enjoy how this author's mind works. She spins such intense and intriguing stories. The one step forward, two steps back nature of Grace and Adare's relationship makes.for a great read. Benny is a hoot. Just when you think he's lost his mind he comes out with something insightful and wise. Highly recommend this book.

WOW, 1st thing to note is there’s a time jump between the last installment and this one, it’s important. Adare and Grace have drew us all in from the beginning, or at least me and this did not disappoint. There’s plenty of story here, it moves along quickly. Just when I feel like I know where she’s going, she shocks me and I had a few moments of total whaaaaaa. All in all this story completely drew me in and I cannot wait to see what happens next. The interconnecting characters from the world she’s given us are rare ones that stick with you book to book, you laugh when they do and you cry right along too. For lovers of the Realm and the series this is an absolute must read, if you’ve never read RZ...slap yourself and go grab Taken, you can thank her and me for the suggestion later.

Five years ago, Adaire mated Grace to save her from dying. Since then he has let her live her life without him. When the Kurjans try to kidnap Grace again, Adare steps in to save her. This is the first time in five years they have actually talked and discussed their futures. But will it be too late for their mating.

As with most people who have read this series, I have been both eager and anxious about this book. Grace and Adare have been butting heads since she woke from a coma and the tension has been high. While not what I expected, I still enjoyed this book.

Grace has spent the past five years getting stronger, training, photographing anything of interest, and avoiding Adaire. While I liked Grace she did get a little annoying with her constant wishy washy attitude towards Adaire and their mating (I wont say more than that because it would be a spoiler.)

Adare is the protective, emotionally withheld, alpha male who struggles to talk about his feelings. Adare was also very selfless. He was constantly putting others before himself, especially Grace, and is willing to do anything to protect the world. I really liked Adare, even with his refusal to discuss his emotions most of the time. These two were a good couple, once they started talking, but they definitely don’t stand out compared to other couples from this series. I still liked them though.

There is also a lot of overarching story progress in this book. There is a new surprise from the Kurjans, we find out what happened to send Grace into a coma, and there is new tension between the races of the Realm. Overall, this was a solid addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next book, which hopefully is Bennys!

I loved Adare, he is by far my favorite out of the seven. Grace on the other hand was a bit obnoxious and just plain stupid at times. Overall a good story and I can’t wait for the next book.

The surprises in this story will be difficult to follow if you haven’t read the previous books in the series.
There is a high octane exciting start to this book. Adare one of the Seven has waited five years for Grace she is one of the keys. She is his mate but has been stubbornly fighting this. She feels she is not special and her blood may even harm Adare. Amongst the exciting finale Grace and Adare will find that their love means everything and nothing else matters. You are left wanting to follow more characters as they look to find their mates.

I eagerly look for the next book in this series and they just can't arrive fast enough!! This book was so much fun to read as it was non-stop action, drama, intrigue, and a growing realization that there was more than just a chance mating for Grace and Adare. Which with Adare saying that he didn't have emotions, you wondered if they could ever make a mating work.

Big changes happen in this book that rock the Realm and friends turn against friends and family. In the book, we still get bits of Hope, Paxton, and Drake and still not sure what will happen there!

I don't want to give away any of the plot or secrets revealed or betrayals that happen, so will just say that I could not put the book down and had to read it all in one sitting! My only complaint is that I now can't wait for the next book as I hope that Benny will get his story since his mate mark has shown up!!

The story picks up a few years from the last one. It focuses on Agare and Grace's relationship. She is a Key and he is one of the Seven. Though their mating was unconventional, it is now causing issues and the Kurjans have figured out where Grace is. The action is spread throughout the story as well as updates on key characters. Hope is now 13, Pax's family dynamic changes and Libby is forced to make difficult decisions. It is a one sitting read and can be read as a standalone. However, you will get drawn in like so many of the Dark Protector series fans. Happy reading and hunting.

Four and a half
As much as I've enjoyed the recent romantic suspense books by this author I'm so glad to be back in her Dark Protectors world. It's time for Grace and Adare to sort out their tricky sort of no Mating deal. Mated by blood five years ago although not actually in body but it pulled Grace out of an unnatural coma so no complaints there. To Adare there is no question about their bond but as Grace starts to deteriorate again she's determined not to drag him down with her.
Two very stubborn people who are so attracted to each other and yet just constantly push each other's buttons. I'm reminded of the old Dr Doolittle movie with the Push me Pull You because that's exactly how they behave. Fireworks just doesn't cover how this couple react to each other and they certainly clash heads frequently which made for lots of hot, passionate scenes. The Realm, Demon, Shifter and Kurzon nations are about to clash as secrets about the Seven come to light and Grace is slap bang in the middle. Lots of action but best of all the twists keep coming as this series builds up for what I'm sure will be a humdinger of an ending.

Hands down, Rebecca Zanetti writes my favorite paranormal books. I have loved this series since the first book in it, and this story does not disappoint. I especially enjoyed the interaction between Adare and Grace - it seemed very real and honest, once we got beyond the lies. I also liked the fact that the grimmer big picture itself didn't overwhelm the story. The backstory moved forward, but it wasn't the main event. And speaking of the backstory - I really, really look forward to more of that.

I hate when these books end! They are just that good! This is Grace and Adare’s story! What happens when looking for a cure for a little girl leads you back to that one being, that you cannot tell, that you are dying? The story is full of intrigue, romance, and has many characters you will recognize from other stories. It is a book you just can’t put down!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own!

Rebecca delivers another solid installment.

This book starts off noting that it's jumped a few years since Hero's Haven. This does wonders for the overarching story in the backdrop, as well as our MC's.
Adare and Grace have been living separate lives for the past five years or so after their semi-mating that woke her up from her coma. (Which happens Vampire's Faith) Adare is all about putting his duty before himself and feels like love is something that he can't give so he watches over her from afar. Grace after her initial meeting with Adare and him pretty much letting her know that he only did that out of responsibility, she feels she needs to figure out her second chance at life on her own, including her failing health. Insert a blood deal gone wrong and these two are back in each others lives with the enemy right on their tail.

This book still doesn't come out until October so I don't want to say as much since there is still some time to go. (I'll come back and give some more context.) Let me jot down quick points
-The chemistry between these two is hot. These two have some major "hate to love" vibes here. Even though they're mated, and have been for five years, they've both spent their time apart and have only come together because of Grace being in danger. There's this current under the surface of their interactions that shows the concern they have for each other that makes the pining hit a bit different.

-There's a lot of action in this one. From explosions to gunfire, it's pretty much everywhere. Personally, I could've done with more screen time of Adare and Grace bonding or flashbacks over the years but that's just me.

-As with all of Dark Protector's novels there are multiple subplots in this one story so get ready for some backstabbing with a side of memory loss sleuthing.

FYI: this is very much an alpha love story, with a big dose of brotherhood added in. If that isn't your thing you might not be able to get on board. If it is welcome!

Overall, this was a fun exciting read. Watching these two give into themselves and try to stay alive while doing it was great. Already ready to read the next DP novel!

This is book 12 in the Dark Protectors series and I would absolutely read the books before this one or you will be completely lost as to what is going on. These books build upon each other and have a much bigger story arc going beyond the story for the main characters. In this one we get Grace Cooper and Adare O’Cearbhaill's story. Adare has one setting, cranky. He stepped up and did his duty and saved Grace because she was enhanced and special, so he mated her with merely a bite and a brand. The last thing he wants or needs is a human mate. But he can't get her out of his head until she takes off. But once he finds out that she is in danger, he will do what he has to to protect her. Whether she wants him to or not. Grace doesn't believe the birthmark she has makes her destined for some great battle. And she is tired of dealing with vampires and other supernaturals, she wishes she had never known about this other world. She knows that while she finds Adare sexy, he doesn't want her or anything to do with her. So when he brand starts to fade along with her health, she decides to handle it herself since she knows she is on her own. But when an old enemy comes back into the picture, now she has to fully mate (sex and all) in order to stay alive.

I absolutely loved this one! I was iffy about Adare because well, I kinda thought he was a big jerk! Like who doesn't want his mate?? But then once I read this and actually understand him more, yeah I loved him!! He is the typical vampire, alpha male that we know and love but he also has a heart of gold that I really wasn't expecting. Grace has been through a lot in a short amount of time. And having your whole perception of the world change? Yeah, I can understand her struggles. I loved seeing more of the bigger story play out along with seeing characters that we know and love from before. I just have to say-I am extremely impatient for Benny's story!!!! Especially after this one!!! But then I also want Garrett's as well LOL! I think I just need them all and I am so impatient!!

Adare and Grace had small parts earlier in this series so I was really happy to read about their coming together. It was enchanting and so much fun to see them together. I am also eagerly awaiting the story with Benny! I love this series and Ms. Zanetti doesn't let us down with the witty way the speak to one another and the zing between the characters.

Grace is a key, ignore the fact that she does not really know what that means or really want the role, she is important to the future of the non-human races. Adare truly does not like humans, he did a favor for Grace when she was in a coma to aid a brother, and protect a key. Five years have passed and things are not as they seem, both must determine if they have a future and how far they will go to protect the other.

Guardian's Grace' is the 12th book of the 'Dark Protectors' series by the best selling author Rebecca Zanetti. Told in dual perspectives, this book was one amazing ride of love and sacrifice!

I have followed this series pretty much from the first book and it seems like Rebecca Zanetti keeps on shocking us at every new book! This series is one of the best fantasy reads I have ever had and the men in this series… Let's just say each one of them is just yummm.

This is the book of Grace and Adare. We saw in the previous books that Adare mated Grace to save her life. She came out of Coma and Adare made it pretty clear to her that he does not want a weak human mate. Yeah , I know he was an ass. What Grace didn't know was how much he actually wanted her. Both of them kept Their distance , living their lives separately. Now after five years , Grace is in danger and Adare has again come back to save his mate.

Their mate bond , which was a temporary bond seems to be vanishing. Their health is deteriorating and the one way to save each other is to mate properly. Yup! The proper mating !! This book was hot with a Capital H and Adare was one of the best heroes ever , casting his assholish side aside! We even get to know which character will have a book next and I am beyond excited. There were also chapters from Hope and Paxton's pov! Those kids are such a suspense for me . I can't wait for their books! I already know that the ending of this series is going to a freaking blast!

This book is recommended to all the fantasy romance lovers , with a complete alpha male , or rather alpha vampire and a mate who is perfect for his brooding self!

This is Grace and Adare's story in the Dark Protector series. To save Grace, Adare bit her marking her as his mate but she was in a coma so they couldn't complete their bond. Grace didn't want to be mated to Adare so when she woke up she asked him to leave her alone which he did for awhile. Now their bond is fading and Grace is in danger so they need to make it permanent. I really enjoyed the way their relationship developed over time and their verbal battles for dominance. Recommended.

Let me preface this review by saying AARGH! Grace and Adare's story is AMAZING!!! After waiting sooooo long for them to finally address their "mating", the story does NOT disappoint! Constant action, with one near catastrophe after another, made the book go almost too fast...putting it down to do things like work, cook, and clean, was pure torture! I love Grace's grit and determination not to be a forced option on Adare, or his family! I loved the mischief she got into...and hope it continues in future books! And Adare...OMG, who could want for more? Strong, protective, determined...the epitome of a Dark Protector. My only criticism, and one I have not made often with Ms. Zanetti's books, is the cliff-hanger ending! Please, please, please let the next book be out soon...yesterday would be great:-) For anyone new to the series, go back, start at the beginning. Every book is amazing and you will be as addicted as I am to this world!

This was a story I was eager to hear since the first book in this group/ section of the series. There is something really amazing about the initial pairing that made me want to swoon for them and now, all these years later, I still want to swoon.
The things that these two do are so “it’s what’s best for him/ her/ them” selfless that I really get it. I love that they really care so much for each other and they want to hide it so much. He’s been hiding from it for so long. She’s been hiding so long. It’s just amazing that they are who they are.
I loved this story. I loved the twists and turns. I love that the ending has left me BEGGING for more.

I’ve been reading okay books for a while now and with every new book I read I lose hope that I’ll find something that grabs my attention and holds it throughout the entire book. This book hit the spot. It grabbed my attention and held it until the very end. It’s refreshing to get a story that’s not your everyday insta love book with a little bit of other stuff. This book had all the goods and wasn’t all love at first sight and blah blah blah the end. Refreshing and captivating definitely recommend

I read this as a standalone and honestly couldn't really get into it. Maybe I should have read the other 11 books in the series because I just wasn't invested in any of the characters and the MC annoyed me so much. Her attitude to most things just led to stupidity.
