I have been waiting for Adare O’Cearbhaill’s story and was not disappointed! He is such an interesting character and acts so tough, when really he is not (in my opinion). He mated Grace in order to save her life, but to see them together is to think there is nothing there. Adare acts this way because he is one of the Seven who have been tasked to be sure Ulric (the bad guy) stays where he is and doesn’t destroy the world. Also, Grace had no say so in the mating so he feels obligated to leave her be. Well, things are not as they seem. Grace does some things she shouldn’t and it brings the bad guys to her and things happen. Want to find out what is? Get Guardian’s Grace by Rebecca Zanetti to find out how these two finally come together.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this title for an honest opinion.

Wow! So much happening in this supernatural romantic thriller. Written in multiple POV, but concentrating mainly on the two main characters, Adare O’Cearbhaill, a vampire soldier, one of the seven, and Grace Cooper, an enhanced human who is mated to Adare, who is also one of three keys (she had no choice in neither matter). Without getting into all the nitty gritty, I’ll break it down to this...... there are bad men (supernatural beings) trying to capture Grace and the other two keys, and Adare as her mate has chosen to protect her (she does not welcome his protection). There is also a whole host of other things happening in and amongst. Adare and Grace are of course secretly attracted to each other, but will not admit their feelings, the sexual tension is real folks. A fab story, wonderfully written, exciting, intriguing, action packed and sexy with some funny moments and fab characters. I loved Grace pushing all Adare’s super alpha male buttons. I will definitely read any further books in this series. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Highlander and vampire hybrid soldier Adare O’Cearbhaill has a reputation as a dour and stubborn man who is not in the least interested in completing the bond with his fated mate. He has one goal in mind which is to eliminate their supreme enemy, Ulric and his evil followers, the Kurjans. Though he has resisted Grace for five years, the situation is changing so that Adare and Grace have to do more than just exchange the occasional scowl and hellos.

Grace has been told she is a Key; someone vital to fulfilling the destiny along with two others, but she is not convinced. Her health is once again failing and the mating mark is disappearing so Grace’s choices have become limited. She is less than thrilled with the idea of fully mating with a bossy, stubborn, and decidedly non-feminist intractable Highlander.

As usual in this series, the enemy malevolent Kurjans are trying to prevent all prophesied events before the ultimate battle and overcome the Realm forces. They have made strides against their inability to be in the sun while the Realm leaders are having more problems since Adare’s secret society who caused a radical paradigm shift on their abilities. Nobody is happy with Adare’s group, known as the Seven, and major political changes are happening as a result.

Grace and Adare may have explosive chemistry; however, neither is a fan of the mating. They have a lot to overcome in order to be compatible mates while enemies old and new are trying to take them out. Hope continues to mature; she is the Lock on whom everything seems to depend. The fighting keeps ramping up for the big Battle Royal to come. This is book #12 in the Dark Protector series.

I received this book as an advanced reader's copy.

This novel is the twelfth in the Dark Protectors series by Rebecca Zanetti. If you haven't read the prequels, you can still read this novel and mostly understand what is happening. Of course, if you do, you will miss out on much of the character and plot establishment that occurred in previous novels as Zanetti interweaves previous main characters throughout this novel. I have read one or two related novels previously but I'm not following the series.

The novel follows the romance of Grace, an enhanced human female, and Adare a vampire/demon. As with most of her previous novels, the chemistry between the two feels a little bit forced but the romantic scenes are spicy. I didn't really like either character much. They were a little flat in my opinion. The plot also left something to be desired. If the main heroine is smart and caring, then why would she not explain her motivations for striking out solo and realize how much danger she was potentially putting herself in? She also falls too much in the damsel in distress category for my liking, but that's just me. Another plot question I had, did the bad guys really play pretend family in her old apartment for 5 years? That seems to be the indication, but if correct it doesn't make much sense if they are as high-ranking as they claimed to have been. Also, the author's use of "male" and "female" as a convention feels forced and unnecessary for example: "A male wearing a baseball cap covered with snow kicked the door shut..." couldn't we just say a "man" as is more common? And while I understand that much of the basis for the novels revolves around finding and marking and preserving "mates", this seems to be something that will give many a feminist a bad-day.

If you don't over-think most of the plot points in this novel, then it's a quick read with some hot scenes in it. Based on just this book, I probably wouldn't go out and read the rest of the series.

Love, love, love...one of the few series I can reread and still enjoy it like I just read it for the first time. A must read.

Five years ago, Adare O’Cearbhaill mated Grace Cooper out of a sense of duty with only a bite and a mark to save her life when she was in a comma. They went their separate ways afterward,

Later he realizes she’s ill once again he’ll do anything to keep her safe and this time he’ll make her completely his.
Adare is a stubborn alpha who only wants to protect Grace. Grace fights back because she doesnt want that, but when she is starting to feel every day more and more sick she understands that maybe he is the only chance for life. You can see there is a sizzling chemistry between the two.

Over all i loved this book.....

It has been a while since I've hung out with the Dark Protectors, and as always, it was an action-filled pleasure. There was a lot going on, with some betrayals that hurt really bad, but also some love and romance that felt really good.

Guardian's Grace is well written, and rather fast-paced in most places. There are some instances where the pace slows down, and those made me want to get to what might happen because of those moments.

It's always great when a series is still going strong in the 12th book! Definite rec from me.

This author never fails to deliver a book that is rich with extraordinary world building, interesting characters, and epic action scenes. The creativity and detail that goes into shaping the world full of supernatural beings and the intricate storylines is nothing short of amazing. One of the things that I like about this series is that the author has a unique take on paranormal creatures such as demons, vampires, witches, and Kurjans and while the stories are somewhat interconnected, each book focuses on one particular couple.

Guardian’s Grace is the story of vampire-demon hybrid Adare and the mortal Grace. Both have intriguing backstories which I found interesting and I am thrilled that I got to learn more about them in this novel. They both underwent an unconventional mating 5 years prior, but now the time has come for them to reunite. Their journey is full of obstacles, danger, duty, and discovering what love is.

Adare is the typical alpha male who is tough both physically and mentally as well as possessive and protective when it comes go Grace. These character traits seem to be a commonality among nearly all of the heroes in this author’s Dark Protector world, but each hero will have something decidedly individual to him. Grace is a feisty heroine whose defiance really challenges Adare and his quest to keep her safe from danger. She is resilient, but she makes a few bone-headed decisions that left me shaking my head. Still, both individually and as a couple I found them engaging.

Guardian’s Grace is another solid installment in the Dark Protector/Realm series. This book could, in theory, be read as a standalone, but it is a part of a series that has interconnecting characters and overarching subplots which some readers who are unfamiliar with this paranormal world may find confusing. I absolutely love this entire series and recommend starting from the beginning or at least from Vampire’s Faith where the reader is first introduced to Grace and Adare. For those who have read the previous books, you will be thrilled to have scenes with the other members of the Seven. If you are looking for a fast-paced paranormal romance with an entertaining storyline, action, romance, and well-developed characters then you will enjoy this novel!

I voluntarily read an early version of this book. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

Ya'll she did it again. I have yet to read a book by Rebecca Zanetti that was not absolutely fabulous. I love the whole world she has built over the years throughout the different series about the Realm. Another must read and cant wait for the next!

4 stars

I had a great time reading this book. I finished it in one day. It was packed full of action, steamy suspense, and fast moving plot. I have read a couple other books in this series and enjoyed them. This is Grace and Adare story. we follow them Five years after they first met and became mated when Adare helped wake Grace from a coma. I was introduced to these two characters in an earlier book and had a good time reading their story. Rebecca’s writing style flows nicely and makes fast paced read, whether it was a kick ass fight scene or build up of romance, she did a great job. The only reasons I gave this book a four star instead of five, I think it could have been wrapped up sooner and the character Grace kept fighting with Adare one to many times. I would recommend checking this book out if your looking for nonstop action, a house full of hot vampires and a love story all in one.
I received this ebook early via netgalley in exchange for an honesty review. All opinions are my own.

Adare, a vampire-demon hybrid and ancient Highlander, is one of the Seven. Grace is a Key. It’s beyond the scope of this review to explain the Seven and the Keys fully, but they have a role in saving the world from a deadly Kurjan Cyst who is currently trapped off world.

Grace was in a coma years ago, and Adare mated with her—sans sex—to save her life. They tend to bicker when they’re around each other, and so Grace has spent the years in between on her own. But now her mating mark is fading and she’s becoming ill. She could end up in a coma again. Adare finds out when she blows her cover. The only cure might be to mate completely, but that could end up killing Adare.

Along the way, Grace is trying to recover her memories of the night she was attacked, when she ended up in a coma. Adare has a mission to rescue women from the Kurjans and take out a group of Cysts. A secret is revealed. Long-term alliances are broken. The Kurjans are after Grace.

The book is a whirlwind of action and suspense. Nothing goes as planned. Adare and Grace are each determined to save the other’s life by mating or not mating. Either way, there are dire consequences.

Guardian’s Grace grabs you in the beginning and keeps you reading, white-knuckled, until the end.

Omg! These books just keep getting better and better. There’s more twists and turns and some very interesting surprises. I just could not put it down.
Adare is totally yummy and Grace gives him a very humorous and exasperating run for his money.
A must read.

Look forward to every book written by Rebecca Zanetti, they are all must reads. Adare doesn't know what to do with his mate Grace. The Dark Protector's will keep reading and wanting more.

This was a super fun read! The chemistry between Grace and Adare was electric. Told from dual perspectives, this story was action packed and super hot. This was a great addition to an amazing series that I would recommend to anyone who loves a good vampire romance. Move over Laurell K. Hamilton, Rebecca Zanetti has taken the throne.

“The vampire was late.” Is a really good tag line. It pulled me in immediately. This was followed by a description of a seedy bar in Colorado. All of this worked to grab my interest. Though I have never really been drawn to the character of a Grace. She always came across as sullen and selfish to me. I went into the book hoping that I was wrong. It begins far enough in the future, 5 years from the time of the original mating, that she should have come to terms with being an immortal mate by now. I was pleasantly surprised that she and Adare had both learned a thing or two over the years, but still had a few things to work out which provided interesting conflict for the story.
As usual there was the excitement of keeping secrets from the Realm and dealing with the Kurjan immersed within the story of Grace and Adare finding their way to each other. This book was packed full of medical emergencies, explosions and some pretty humorous dialogue. I greatly enjoyed this book and was delighted that the author had some surprises in store for me.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy Christine Feehan’s Shadow Riders series or Suzanne Wright’s The Dark in You series. I enjoyed it and read it in one sitting it was so good.

I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest opinion on the book.

Guardian’s Grace is book twelve in Zanetti’s Dark Protector series. Adare and Grace’s arc started a few books ago.

Adare knew it was his duty to mate with Grace. It was the only way to pull her out of the coma she was in. Grace doesn’t remember anything about the attack that put her in a coma. She knows her sister, she knows her childhood, but everything after that is a blur. Grace didn’t even know the Realm existed until she was mated to a vampire. Now she’s firmly in their world even if she doesn’t want to be. Grace is a Key, one of three women that can open the Lock. Too bad no one knows what exactly the Keys are or how they’re going to open the Lock.

Five years have passed since Adare and Grace mated. Grace took off to parts unknown. She wanted to live her own life away from the maddening Adare. When Grace starts looking for vampire blood to heal someone she knows, the Seven immediately take action. Imagine Adare’s surprise when he finds his mate trying to buy another vampire’s blood. He’s infuriated until he sees what bad shape Grace is in. Instead of thriving, Grace seems to be sick and she’s unable to heal herself.

Grace knows she’s dying. She’s unable to heal herself, something she was able to do in the past. Her mating mark is disappearing. She knows it’s only a matter of time before she’s back in a coma. Adare was the one that pulled her out and the only one that can stop it from happening again. Before she dies, Grace is determined to get answers about her attack. She returns to the scene of the crime in Denver and starts digging for answers. It was pretty stupid of her to go off on her own. The Kurjans are looking for her, as are the Cyst who are a religious offshoot of the Kurjans.

This was a sweet story, but it just didn’t pack the punch that I thought it would. Adare and Grace were extremely interesting in the previous books. In this book they were just meh. I did like how confident Adare was about saving Grace. Honestly, that was one of his best qualities. What they were told by the doctors didn’t concern him. He is one of the Seven and Grace is a Key. To save Grace, they’ll have to mate again. This time they need to go all the way for the win.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

I love this series and this installment was no exception. I have been waiting for Grace and Adaire's story to be told and it did not let me down. There is plenty of action and romance along with many of the characters from the previous books being included. Thoroughly enjoyable!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this novel.

Rebecca has done it again!!! She just draws you in and leaves you wanting for more. The series keeps getting better and better and can not wait for more. You have Adare and Grace. Adare mated Grace many years ago to save her life. He then left her to find her own life and path, while he has his set in stone. During their individual journey, the run into each other and set upon a path of fate that brings them together. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. Of course you have the previous characters from previous series coming in and I love how they intertwine. Adare is one of the best heroes of this entire series, including the original. We get a glimpse of who is coming next and can't wait! I hope these series never end! This is a one-click buy and reread series for me!!

This was my first book by this author and I really didn't like it very much. I didn't understand the story in the beginning, and felt I was missing pieces in the plot. It also seemed a little too violent for my tastes. I couldn't get into the main character, she seemed annoyingly foolish. I received an advanced reader's copy from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

After all this time it is finally time for Grace and Adare's story. We met Grace, in a coma in Vampires Faith, the first book that introduced us to the Seven. Faith is Grace's sister and she was desperate to help her. In order to save Grace's life, she is mated (partially) to Adare, the handsome Highlander, while she is in a coma. Thankfully, the mating works, but these two have a long way to go to actually becoming mates. Grace leaves and decides she needs to find herself.

Now it is five years later. Grace is not well and looking for a cure before she slips into a coma again. She is searching for answers from doctors and her own idea of a remedy, which very well land her in the path of Adare again and in a whole heap of trouble. Grace has been keeping a lot of secrets from everyone...but when she passes out right in front of Adare, he decides her free time is over and it is time for him to step in and take control. However, Grace is going to fight every step of the way.

There is a lot of push and pull with these two, many misunderstandings, and a lot of secrets. They have many walls to break down, but as they do, they slowly realize that maybe there is more to them than just a mating that saved Grace's life. Also, this gets us closer to the ultimate battle between the Realm or maybe just the Seven and Ulrich. The evil Kurjan that wants to kill all the enhanced females. Things are heating up everywhere and Rebecca pulls out all the stops with characters from our favorite books making appearances. Another great addition to the Dark Protectors. These series is one of my faves and I cannot wait to see what happens next!
