Review posted to Amazon, Goodreads, and The Tale Temptress blog.

What a fitting and perfect conclusion to a great series. Legacy began the world-building, the characterization, and the setup. Allegiance set the pace of action of what type of story this was going to be as a series, as well as to move the story along and sink us into the action of it all, Sacrifice took us on a fast-pace ride to the conclusion in an exciting and thrilling way.

I loved the fact that the author chose the dualing Points of View between Alera and Shaselle. It gave a certain new depth to the story and really allowed the reader a chance to see what the world was long beyond the bounds of the castle and Alera's world. Both points of view were interesting, although a found Shaselle's a little more so, probably due to the more freedom of movement she had outside in the world. I enjoyed both though, as Alera's POV showed some wonderful growth from book one to now, and Shaselle's showed her free-spirited adventure-like persona so well.

Again I loved the characterization, world-building and storytelling in this series. In this last story of the series, the author did an amazing job with all elements, and with keeping this a fast-paced ride of discovery. Great ending a great series.

I tried again with this one, but just couldn't love the main characters, so I never reviewed it. I'm sorry!
