This was a great debut novel and a second chance romance as well, my personal favorite. I really enjoyed Jay and Leyna’s love story. These two wonderful characters had fallen in love when they were younger but Jay felt like he wasn’t good enough for Leyna. He had dyslexia and this held him back because it made him feel less than. Leyna loved him and wanted their life together. She knew he was a remarkable man. Jay wanted Leyna to live her life and so he took an apprenticeship in France and left. Both of their hearts broke that day.

Eighteen years later, Jay is back because his grandfather is ill and getting ready to retire. He wants Jay to run the winery and work together with Leyna to merge their businesses. There are a lot of bridges to rebuild between these two but their deep love for one another will lead the way.

I loved all the information about the making of wine. There is so much to it and the way this information was brought to the reader was very knowledgeable. I am definitely excited for the next book.

A new author for me and the first book in a new series resulted in a great read!

This debut novel is about High School sweethearts separated them reunited 18 years later. Will her financial situation and his disability keep them apart after finding each other again? Add a shifty lawyer, estranged family relationships, and small town fun for a delightful story. An interesting and educational book about the wine industry set in the Niagara Lakes region of New York that I recommend reading. Excited to read book 2 in Spring 2021.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

I may be the only person left on earth that does not like wine, but after reading Forever with You I may have to give it another try. Leyna and Jay were high school sweethearts but Jay broke her heart when he dumped her and left for France. Fast forward 18 years and Leyna is taking over her grandfather's restaurant and Jay has come home to help run his families vineyard. When they are forced to work together by their grandfather's wishes they soon realize the spark is still there.

From the first page I loved not only the characters but Sapphire Springs. Even at the most dramatic moments nothing felt over the top and the characters seemed to jump out of the pages. This is a closed door romance that I would recommend to anyone that wants to read a romance set in wine country. I cannot wait for book 2!

4.75/5⭐ This was such a sweet and heart-warming romance!

I have always been a fan of small town love stories, so when I realized that Forever With You features a second-chance romance, I knew I had to pick it up asap. I loved reading the book so much. From the enchanting setting of Sapphire Springs, to having a cast of wonderful cast of characters, Forever With You won my heart in every possible way. I connected with Jay and Leyna's lives from the very beginning of the story. It was very interesting to see how their relationship played out in the midst of business partnerships, past grudges and family secrets. There was a lot of drama and tension involved in the book as well, which were things I loved. The twists and turns in the plot gave the story such a unique touch. I was literally at the edge of my seat while reading the last few chapters.

I can't wait to read more books from Barb Curtis, given how wonderfully she wrote her debut novel. I just saw the cover of the second book in the Sapphire Springs series as well, which features two of my favorite characters from Forever With You - AND I JUST DIED. 2021 just got better. :')

Forever with You has that small-town charm in Sapphire Springs where every one knows everyone else. This is an enjoyable second chance romance for Leyna and Jay, who grew up in Sapphire Springs together. Their grandfathers had been best friends until Leyna’s grandfather passed. Although she inherits, she, apparently, is struggling with the financial part of her inheritance.

This is a delightful, light-hearted romance and with a bit of a mystery, Leyna’s finances, for Jay to solve. Yet, Jay had his own problems with his relationship with his grandfather and with his mom. And, there is another man around trying to gain Leyna’s affections.

You will love this new series in Sapphire Springs and the inhabitants around which other stories will develop. Several were introduced here. We get to wait to find read about their HEAs.

It seemed a bit off that Leyna’s parents and brother did not get involved. Except for a small section or two between Rob and Jay, they did not seem like part of the book at all. I kept wondering why they were not involved in the ‘family’ business. Does not really matter, great series beginning any way!

For a first book this is very good. It's a quick read with plenty of movement and dialogue. A little romance, a little family intrigue involving a couple who have a lot of intertwined family friendships and history who are now faced with future decisions. Reminds me of a Hallmark movie. I am looking forward to reading more about the residents of Sapphire Springs.
I was provided an advanced reader copy of this book and was under no obligation to provide a review. The opinions expressed are my own. Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book.

This is an excellent first effort from a very promising debut author. Forever With You is a dual POV, small town, second chance romance.

The romance between Jay and Leyna is filled with a little angst when Jay rolls into town after dumping Lena several years ago. They get over their differences quite quickly and rekindle their romance and it is better than ever. This is a personal preference thing, but I like a little more angst in my stories. I think Jay was forgiven a little too quickly for my taste.

The book has a mysterious twist that I didn’t see coming and I really liked that unexpected surprise.

The small town winery setting was interesting and a perfect setting for a romance. I think this is why I would categorize this as a Hallmark-style romance because of the setting and because it is a closed door romance.

There are many characters in this book that required a little backstory and setup. I know this is an essential part of the first book in the series but it did get a little off focus for me and I found my self skimming some of those paragraphs. However, I am interested in books involving other characters, like Tim.

I recommend this book to readers who enjoy Hallmark movies and small town romance.

Forever with You is an engaging second chance love story set in the Niagara Falls wine country. I was intrigued by the second chance romance between vintner Jason “Jay” Wynter and restaurateur Leyna Milan and adored this dynamic couple.

The friendship between Stefan Wynter and his best friend Joe Leone plays a central role in Forever With You. Prior to Joe’s passing, they had committed to building a restaurant at Wynter Estates, the family’s vineyard. These plans put their grandchildren; former high school sweethearts Jason Wynter and Leyna Milan in an uneasy partnership. Jay has plans to for the property-he envisions growing grapes for syrah wine while Leyna wants to focus on Rosalia’s, the family’s Italian bistro.
Loved the author’s descriptive writing and dialogue! I could feel the joy and excitement in Jay’s voice when he spoke of his love for the vineyard—the soil, vines, grapes and his crew. He was immersed in his work and enjoyed every aspect of the winemaking process. Layna’s mission is to keep her family’s business out of debt. I could hear the worry in her voice when she realized that her financially responsible grandfather left her with outstanding bills. Loved the friendship between Leyna and her friend Emily—their conversations shared over Emily’s cupcakes were honest, poignant and funny.
The author effortlessly blends the romance between Jason and Leyna with family and business intrigue. The chemistry between Jay and Layna bubbled up immediately. I enjoyed reading their perfectly paced slow burn romance. I loved that the author included wine making process thread through the novel. Barb Curtis created fabulous secondary characters-Emily, Tim, Danielle, Cass and Mark- each one added to the storyline.

I highly recommend Forever With You. It has all the feels- an engaging couple, gorgeous setting and a heartfelt second chance at love. I can’t wait for the next book in the Sapphire Springs series!!

I loved this book so much. Jay and Leyna were perfect and the story was wonderfully written. This was a great debut by Barb Curtis!

This debut romance was a real treat!
Leyna and Jay have history, and the kind of history that can be hard to recover from. Jay chose to leave Leyna behind, and pursue a life away from everything she loved. She stayed, and continued trying to better her family business in Sapphire Springs. She is in the midst of a collaboration with Jay's family that could mean everything to her and her business, when Jay is forced to come back to town to run his family business.
This second chance romance is a lot of fun, with a lot of chemistry. I ended up really enjoying all of the small town dynamics, and am looking forward to more in this series, and from this author.

Thank you so much @ReadForeverPub, for giving me this advanced copy in exchange for my honest and Sassy Review.

If you could bottle a Spring Hallmark movie into a debut novel this would be it.

I loved the past love redemption not enemies to lovers trope!

I also loved that one of the main characters had a disability and how he worked through that to overcome his challenges, learning to not run away from his life and how to challenge the 'bad' people in this book!

I very much enjoyed this debut novel by Barb Curtis. This sweet, second chance romance was filled with interesting characters to the small wine-country town. Leyna and Jason’s teenage romance ended almost two decades ago, but both have continued to be affected by their breakup. Jay has the added burden of being the one who broke Leyna’s heart, and walking away from his family’s winery. And he’s still not sure if he’s ready to put down roots again. Leyna is a strong, smart woman, running the restaurant her grandfather left her, but she still experiences doubts over whether another chance with Jay will again end with her heart broken.
If the next book in this series is as good as the first, I predict a long and bright future for this new author. A great plot and lots of engaging characters will keep me coming back for more.

So apparently second chance romances are now my thing? I really enjoyed this one! Forever With You is a debut novel and it is so good! It is everything you want a small town romance to be. I was invested in the story right away and was really rooting for Leyna and Jay. I liked seeing the character development throughout the story and the pacing was great. Jay has dyslexia and I appreciated how his struggles and insecurities were portrayed.
.
The secondary characters are also really likeable and I am excited that we will get to read more books set in Sapphire Springs!

Forever with You comes out November 10! I hope you pick it up!

This is a good second chance story. Leyna Milan and Jason Wynter fell in love when they were young. As college loomed, tensions were high among the families. Better to break a heart and find your way in the world than to lose it all. They each had sneaky grandfathers. Both had decided it was time to put there plan in motion. Life can take unexpected turns and they weren't getting any younger. There is a thin line between love and hate, but the lady doth protest to much. As they work together, old feelings are coming back. Do you trust them or not? In the end, you have to decided if who you love is worth fighting for.

A story of second chances, family secrets, and manipulations. Jay is finally home after 18 years of being away. When he left he told the biggest lie ever and now has to work with the love of his life, who he walked away from. He has never stopped loving Leyna, and vows to mend things between them.
Leyna still loves Jay, but he broke her when he left. While working together, old sparks reignite, but he is unsure if he is staying. Family is what you make not what you are born into sometimes, but words hurt and carry a long lasting impression.
When secrets and lies come to light and something tragic happens to the one person who always showed how much he loved Jay, it pushes Jay to make a decision. Will Leyna ever be able to forgive him? Does he want to be with her for the long haul? A wonderful book about love, second chances and family.

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever for the chance to read an early copy of this book!

This is a nice small-town second-chance romance with some gorgeously descriptive writing. While the plot itself wasn't my cup of tea, it was a pleasant reading experience that felt like visiting wine country in upstate New York (I was picturing Skaneateles).

Second-chance has never been a "catnip" trope of mine, and unfortunately that holds here. Leyna and Jay were young and in love, they had a messy breakup when Jay got cold feet and traveled the world, and 18 years later he's back. They both try to pretend they've moved on but they haven't. Again, I know that someone else is probably all about this, but the romantic conflict was pretty boring for me. The closed-door scenes probably didn't help as I prefer my stories with a little more steam.

The secondary plot is a mystery that gets slowly woven in. I prefer my stories to be less heroes-and-villains than we got, and I would have preferred that instead of this outside influence we have more conflict from something complicated between Leyna and Jay.

Ultimately, most of my problems with this book just come down to taste. The writing was beautiful and I know there are other people who will love this second-chance, small-town, fade-to-black, hint-of-mystery romance. It just didn't click for me.

Thank you to Netgalley and Forever Pub for an advanced copy of Forever with You (available NOW) in exchange for my honest review.

Jay Wynter has been away from home for eighteen years.  When he left, he left the heart of his ex-girlfriend, Leyan Milan, in pieces.  They had pictured a life together but at twenty and eighteen, respectively, Jay knew they were too young so he went to Europe to start the next chapter of his life.
With the failing health of his grandfather, Jay is back to help manage his family's vineyard.  What Jay didn't expect to see upon his first board meeting was Leyan.  Jay didn't know his grandfather had struck up a partnership with Leyan's family to bring their family-run restaurant to their vineyard for a second location.  It's only fair that Leyan didn't expect to see Jay at the board meeting or ever again.  As they begin working together on their business partnership, old feelings start to resurface and it feels like Leyan and Jay never stopped their relationship.

I really loved this story.  Although there is history between the two characters you didn't feel like you (as the reader) were thrust into the middle of the story.  Barb Curtis did a great job of setting up Sapphire Springs and what's to come for future novels.  I can't wait for Only for You (coming June 2021).  I'm curious to see where she takes it after the second novel.  There is definitely a lot of potential for quite a few novels set in Sapphire Springs.  Now excuse me while I pretend I'm at Wynter Vineyard enjoying some wine instead of inside my house on a super rainy day.

A second chance love story between Jay and Leyna, long ago young sweethearts. Jay left to give Leyna the chance to spread her wings after her graduation or so he told himself. I wasn't crazy about the storyline on all the reasonings of why Jay left, and so many years later he comes back because of his Grandfather to help at the family vineyard, not because of Leyna.
It's well written and I loved the nurturing of the grapes for the varietal types of each wine, the scenery sounded idyllic, and Jay was truly a master vintner, it really was in his blood. The smalltown vibe was there with all the pros and cons.
The chemistry was still hot between these two, but there were just a lot of people and elements seemingly still against them, and I didn't get the good vibes with Leyna, a bit too docile for me, but plenty of mindspeak. Surprising turnouts and they made it all work, so I was happy with the ending.
Very good for a debut author, and I hope to read more from her.

I really thought that Forever with You will be the typical second chance romance story but it’s not. I’m so surprised but relieved. It’s so much sweeter to read a fresh new second chance romance. Jay has finally returned to his hometown but there are a lot of expectations when he arrives. He has to take over his grandfather's empire but that’s something he might not want to do, especially being in the same town with his true love, Leyna. He finally did something for himself without any help from his family. He really did not want to return but you cannot deny that he is meant for the business. He just needs someone to be in his corner and always support him, and there is only one person that can do that. But he has to grovel and try again with Leyna. Leyna still remembers the betrayal from Jay. But she is more than determined to move on and push forward with her business. It definitely sucks that he is back in town and he is going to be more involved with his grandfather's company and with her since her late grandfather is in business with Jay grandfathers. It may not be what she wanted but I think it’s meant to be since it will give her the closure she needs. And maybe a second chance between them. Nothing is ever easy when you decide to give it another chance. You will have to go down and dirty which is something new for second chance romance. Usually, there is always a flare of drama but not in Forever with You.

This book was such a perfect contemporary romance. It is absolutely delightful. It hits all the notes of a contemporary second chance romance perfectly - great history, hidden motives, characters who have grown and changed but still have that certain something from their past deep down, and a new goal to bring them together. I adored this book so much it will be my new go-to recommendation for anyone looking to dip their toes into contemporary romance.
