A book about women of a certain age. An interesting idea for a book because this is often a group either ignored by authors or relegated to being someone's mother/supporter etc. It is set in New Mexico and some North American references did pass me by (being British) . A shame that lots of cliches both about the age group and the business were present in the book, some were dealt with well, others less so.
As I finished , I thought the book was OK. Parts felt like a textbook for business studies and I felt that the friendship group was too contrived . Conversations in parts were stilted and not terribly realistic in my view .... often Kris says, I know you think this or that , which felt manufactured to inform the reader rather than how people actually speak..
On the whole, I wanted to like this book, but have finished it with mixed feelings. 3 stars because I do not want to be too harsh and I like what the author is trying to do, but it could have been done better.
Thank you to Net Galley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

Really thought I'd love this book. So many people to keep track of and the descriptions of everything over the top. Wasn't a fave.

Thanks to publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book. While I got the book for free,it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.

This book started off with such promise - a strop of a group of middle aged was men reinventing themselves. Sadly, it devolved in to a bunch of drivel, heavily peppered with work jargon.
