This is a cute little book about emotions and how we love people in our lives. I really enjoyed the illustrations in this book.
My Granddaughter and I absolutely loved this book!! I had to buy two print books. One for my house and other for hers. Every Grandma and Grandchild need this book!!
I shared this boardbook with my 15 month old grandson and we loved it. It showed a baby bear and his grandma doing things together like waving, dancing, reading and building blocks. All things we do with a smile and a laugh. Just a sweet little book reinforcing the love between a grandmother and her grandchild. My 4 year old granddaughter also enjoyed it as she kept talking about all the things we do together. The illustrations are adorable, colourful and full of joyful emotions.
This book is sweetness overload! The vibe? ... heartwarming. It expresses so beautifully the love expressed between a grandmother and her grandchild. It displays scenarios where the two interact lovingly by: waving, dancing, reading and building bricks together, just to name a few.
When shared the book will build emotional security and a solid confidence that the wee one is truly loved unconditionally. The illustrations are adorable. The text is simple and the book is short enabling it to be shared over and over again. Later on as the child grows he will be able to read it by himself.
This is a follow-up to "I Love Grandpa" both recommended to celebrate Grandparent's Day September 13th, 2020. I highly recommend both books.
A cute and delightful way of teaching kids all about love and how they could express it. This happy little mite loved everything about his grammy and told it in his own small way.
This was a cute simple little picture book that celebrates the relationship of a child and their grandma. Such a sweet book.
I received this ebook in exchange for my honest feedback.
I Love You, Grandma by Ruth Wielockx
I enjoyed reading and looking at this simple tastefully done book. The reason is because I just became a new grandmother again after ten years and looking at the new books and all the new fangled technology and ideas, it was good to just read a lighthearted quick read. They were just short concise statements with cute characters and to the point because the attention span of a 9 month old to 18 month old is approximately two minutes!,🤪
I loved the book.
I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and this is my willingly given thoughts and opinions.
I simply adored this little picture book! It is simply the sweetest and is so heartwarming. There is truly no love, like the love being between a child and their grandparent.
This little book is marketed for toddlers ages 12 months and up, with a focus on the child's emotions. I think its a great little book for grandma to read with her grandbabies! A truly must have book for all grandmas or soon to be grandmas.
I recieved a digital copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
What a sweet read with my grandson! A treat to share this colorful and delightful new book with him.
Very cute book.Would make a great gift for A new or existing Grandma. I am going to recommend this to all my Friends.
I love you Grandma by Ruth Wielockx. I love the book I am always looking for books to read to my granddaughter Kaylee who is almost three months old. This is such a sweet little book. I think she would love to hear this story. She already hums song with my daughter.
This is a cute book of fun bonding activities to do with grandma. Its perfect for young children. I especially live that this grandma book has a different story than the companion book for grandpa.
I love this picture book so much. It reminds me of my childhood days. I had three 'grandmothers', one from my father's side, one was my mother's aunt and one my father's aunt. They took care of me just like the grandma in this story does.
It's so heartwarming!
Love the illustrations!
I guess it's a little tooooo short.
Thank you #NetGalley for the ARC.
I read this lovely little children's picture book with my daughter and she enjoyed it. It is a book aimed at babies and toddlers, which has cute illustrations and basic writing which show the relationship, emotions and playful interactions between a child and their grandma. Thankyou very much to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I actually read this one after reading and reviewing the other book, "I love you, Grandpa". Story and narration are almost the same. I had the same insight. Cute illustrations, short and easy read. Perfect for storytelling time for younger kids
My 6 year old enjoyed reading this book and liked the story. I think it would fit best with ages 3-5. I can definitely see many grandmas reading this to their grandchildren!
In a world of equality hot on the heels of I love you Grandpa comes I love you Grandma.
Equally engaging and inspiring for our tiny tots, here is another story about the importance of loving interactions and bonding experiences.
Baby bear learns through play and contact with Grandma that they are loved and cherished.
From bouncing and rocking to waving and dancing. In play and having fun, Through rhyming lines simple words bring repetition to help learn and share. It reassures and emphasises the bond of love.
In normal activities, like reading books and building bricks baby shares with Grandma, then through more tangible expressions of love like gifts of flowers and sharing hugs.
In both books these activities are interchangeable so no gender stereotypes or assumed roles.
I loved the chance to read and such books like these, build confidence and promote emotional security.
The book although short with simple text and adorable pictures will promote questions and joy in reading together.
As your child grows then becomes ready to read it for themselves.
This is such a sweet book, not very long but for age 12 months-ish it's just right and when Grandma has to read it over and over she will be glad it's only twelve pages long. There are lovely illustrations that can be talked about and acted out with ease. There is also a Grandpa book.
I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers in exchange for an unbiased review and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys being a Grandma and reading to their grandchildren.
I know that these picture books are not for me, but I love them. Some short, but most of the time good story, beautiful pictures and 5 minutes reading. I saw on NetGalley that there are a few of them, and requested them. I read some description, but for this, the cover was so cute, I requested immediately... I know that these books for children but there is a difference between a book written for a toddler or a 9-year old. And this book is for toddlers, so there is almost any story, and I don't want to rate that part of the book.
But there are a lot of pictures in it, too, and unfortunately, I did not like them. I have a cousin who is a toddler, so I saw his books, and there are a lot of books in which the pictures are nicer. Maybe it is not my style.
This book is a gift book: Grandmother buys to their grandchildren and plays with them. In that purpose, this book is good, but I think the art could be a little bit nicer.
