The story is told from multiple perspectives
The short chapters make this a very fast read.
It is filled with lots of twists
This was an interesting and intriguing thriller with plenty of plot twists, I enjoyed this a lot and found myself flying through it.
This book is not a unique concept in the slightest. But with that being said, I still love the drama, and the twist and turns that the author delivered in this book
Great thriller that kept me turning the pages. Great story, great writing and characters. Really enjoyable and would read this author again.
This book was well written with different chapters featuring different characters. Its a story about domestic abuse. It has short chapters which keeps you wanting more. Some parts of the book were a let down, some twists were even predictable. Lots of points of view to keep you on your toes. I just found it to be a little flat to be honest.
This was a good thriller. The story and characters were enjoyable. The ending was predictable which was a bummer. Overall good book.
With time, I've come to expect a certain level of thrill from the books I read especially if they're presented as "a gripping thriller" or a psychological thriller. Unfortunately for me, this book didn't give me those thrills that I highly seek in a book. The story started off well but at a certain point and after numerous times when I thought "now comes the twist" the book instead got very predictable. The characters were good. I liked Kerry & Simon as characters & it would have been interesting to see nuances of the police work since the book was set in Belfast. however, this book was driven by Hannah & Julia. The plot sadly did not feel upto the mark of a psychological thriller.
Thank You Netgalley, Cameron Publicity & Marketing Ltd & Rose McClelland for an arc!
I think this book should come with trigger warnings for people who may be affected by the story.
That being said, there were lots of twists in the book that made it hard to put down. However, the ending was easy to predict.
Under your skin is a great thriller/mystery that'll leave you frantically turning pages, needing to know whats happening next. Although, i did see the ending coming, still an overall great read. Thanks Rose McClelland and netgalley for the advanced copy!
A twisty thriller. Sure to keep you reading into the late hours of the night. Some trigger warnings but a great read for fans of thrillers.
Thanks to Netgalley and Cameron Publicity & Marketing Ltd for the arc of this book.
a 3 star read for me.
Well written
good structure'
bit confusing at times but overall a good book.
This is my first book by this author, so I didn't know her style of writing.
It was kinda short but cleverly written story. The idea of the story it's not something new and it's okay, but the way it's written chapter to chapter it's wat make it interesting that makes you unable to put it down.
Hannah goes missing & husband is the number one suspect, of course. At first, you think he’s a decent guy but nothing is wat it's seems.
Tense and dark read but it's more than a thriller, it's rollercoaster of emotions because you looking to the domestic abuse from the microscope.
Thank you Netgalley, author/ publisher for providing me with this ARC for my honest review.
The first book I’ve read by this author, a short but enjoyable read that highlighted the terrible lives that domestic victims lead and the hardships and courage of leaving that life behind. The storyline itself was ok but rather far fetched in parts but the short chapters and the characters kept you want to keep reading
When Kyle’s wife Hannah goes missing, the whole town is out in force to try to find her. One person knows where she is. One person is keeping a secret.
This book had me hooked.
Great thriller trying to find out who the bad guy is in this book.
The author did a great job writing this novel.
This dark and gripping domestic drama held me captive to the end. It’s a disturbing, unsettling portrayal of a toxic marriage and domestic abuse which raises the question, how well does anyone know anyone? An engrossing read.
The book is engaging but the plot was pretty predictable. The book is spoken through 4 perspectives which at first was confusing but later makes more sense. Some details were very accurate regarding domestic violence but I feel the author could have added more detail. I do recommend the book overall it’s a nice easy read.
Under Your Skin.
A fantastic plot and well written characters... I was hooked! There’s some great scary scenes that really took my breath away!
Then it went off the rails...
I really wish it ended differently. I was left disappointed and can see I’m not the only one!
A great thriller. But a mystery/ thriller almost. The work will keep you guessing and will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat till the end.
Thanks NetGalley for this book. Overall a good plot but I felt there was a little too much of the romance novel, albeit twisted, than I expected. Half way through I wanted to put this book down but persevered to the end. Would I recommend this. Not sure. However I am glad I finished the book as the writer did a good job of wrapping everything together for closure
Thanks to Net Galley and Cameron Publicity Marketing Ltd for an ARC of this book in exchange for a review.
Hannah is missing, her husband is the only suspect.
The story features 4 female characters, Hannah, Kerry, Kate and Julia, they all play significant but different roles,
Short sharp chapters which entice the reader to keep reading.
The story definitely gets under your skin as the tension builds, however I found it fell a bit flat and was disappointing as the story continued.
3.5 stars
