Kevin de Lara is now a commander in his own right. He has three castles on the Welsh marches and has just taken control of one just inside Wales. The locals are not happy to have an Englishman around especially when he costs them money. Our hero is an emotional and extremely honourable man. Years of working for the devious William Marshall have made a mark on him that he struggles with.

Juliandra ferch Gethin is the daughter of a wealthy merchant. Our heroine is a strong woman, used to having control of her own life. When she finds herself in a predicament she knows there are ways to solve it.

A man with a powerful obsession and access to an army can cause a lot of dangerous problems.

Our author certainly knows how to put our emotions on a rollercoaster. Before you pick up this book make sure you have nothing else to do, because you will not be able to put it down. You will need tissues. You will meet many old friends from other books and one naughty young Squire with a big future. I now want to see what he gets up to next.

I absolutely love all of this author's work. The characters always have such depth you want to know about every aspect of their lives.

I loved every page.

This is my fair and honest review, voluntarily given and in my own words, for this ARC. Ms Le Veque writes the most amazing medieval stories and this is the newest. In ever single tales she weaves so much passion and history and the way she incorporates characters from earlier books is just so wonderful. You know each and every one of the characters and each time, you get a bit more information re their characters. With each tale, you fall more and more in love. Outstanding

A really good read! Kevin de Lara obviously has a deep love for his brother. Step by step you feel as though you are witnessing all of his emotions during his journey. The relationship between Kevin and Sean is heart-wrenching. Through Sean, Kevin finally has the opportunity to command and continue to carry his family legacy into the future. He is determined to not fail in Wales. There he meets a lass who has a request of him. For the greater good, he has a request of her as well though he struggles with his conscience in doing so.

Juliandra must speak with the Lord of the Castle of the Sky. She must pay retribution in order to secure her father's release. So she makes a deal with a handsome devil.

A journey of redemption, retribution and unexpected love. What a touching story.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley to review. Thank you for the opportunity.
This book is interesting, full of knights and an era which is not usually seen in fiction. It is a sweet book with a romance at its heart. It has beautiful descriptions of Wales and show good character development. The writing is OK, though I found some parts confusing and excessive details in parts.
As I had not previously read the other books in the series, it was difficult to follow at points, particular at the beginning. However, the book can be read on its own.

Outstanding book!

A Sweet knight in shining armour, that’s Kevin de Lara.
He’s tough, powerful and honourable.
But this guy has feelings, he has a tenderness about him that most knights lack.
It’s truly beautiful to see.

His partner is Juliandra ferch Gethin , a stunningly beautiful and sweet little gem.
His heart is hers from the beginning, but he’s not the only one who want her for himself, he has an enemy who will stop at nothing to win the Lady.

With excellent writing and the stunning backdrop of the Welsh borders , this book takes you on a journey, not just country wide but of the heart.
Pushing your feelings to the extreme, as two young people try to journey through the trials before them.

Many favourites and some new characters join our Executioner Knights.
A Brilliant I book loved every page, I have go back and read Sean’s book again now , Kathryn’s writing is so addictive.
