Possibly not the best book to start with considering it is the 4th book in the series as I didn't know the characters. I honestly don't think this could be read as a stand alone because you need to know the back story. However I did read it not knowing the backstory and struggled but all in all it was a good YA book, I reading about vampires and also Salem, which really interests me.

This was the last book in a series and I didn't realize at the time of requesting so it has just set on my list as I don't read out of order. Sorry it never got reviewed.
