Well, this certainly looks like a really nice beginning to what seems to be a promising trilogy. This author is totally new, and I did some research to find out more. Imagine my surprise when I read that this is actually her first published work, and it definitely does not look as a debut to me.

This is the story of Connor and Sophie – two college friends, who ended their friendship five years ago, in pursuit of a better future. Five years later, they meet again, some things have changed, while others remain the same as the last time they saw each other five years ago…no time or distance could change those feelings that overwhelm them. Should they fight them or try to understand what that thing between them is?

Definitely a nice second chance romance with solid storyline, a bit clichéd at several moments, but engaging nonetheless. The characters are so well developed and relatable, as you read you manage to understand their reasons and their feelings. It contains enough drama, sweet and funny moments to keep readers interested from beginning to the very end. Their push and pull relationship will make you laugh, while their incredible passion with light touch of BDSM will most definitely make you blush. And the cliffhanger is simply unbearable.

If you are looking for an entertaining best friends to lovers’ romance, with a sexy alpha hero and adorable heroine, then be sure to read this one.

I love a dominant-submissive storyline and this one didn't disappoint. A friends to lovers story this was a quick fun read. the only downside is that as its part of a trilogy, It ends on a cliff hanger and I hate cliff-hangers.
It is dual perspective so you get the story from the viewpoint of both main characters which I enjoy. I recommend this book if you're looking for something quick and steamy to read. I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sparks fly!
I enjoyed this book and found that it had just the right amount of drama, angst and steam. Connor and Sophie had been best friends in college but when she suddenly left without explanation her senior year, it broke his heart. Now she's back and as they spend more time together they can't deny the intense attraction they have for one another. Connor is demanding both at work and in private but Sophie sure doesn't seem to mind!
I liked that there is a thread of mystery regarding Sophie's past and I am anxious to find out more. This is book 1 of a trilogy and it ends with a cliffhanger. It was quite short and personally I would have preferred it if it had of just been written as a single book or a duet at most. Also I found it annoying how especially in the first few chapters, the author continually flipped between using the main characters name to using the same descriptive identifiers such as "the blonde" or "the man" instead of just sticking to their first name.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
