The two "must read" books I've read recently have been written by Tullian Tchividjian. "One Way Love" was the first, this is the second. In "Glorious Ruin" he examines the difficult issue of suffering and shows how God uses trials to shape us and point us to the cross. He points the reader away from the false ideas of 'moralizing' or 'minimizing' suffering and toward the "theology of the cross" which sees God at work in suffering as we becom

Even though Tullian has had issues, we all do. I read the title. Many may sh away from the author's titles
