What a weird and fun world. Such a great combination of the real and the surreal. Bug boys is great for creative and free-thinking kids.
Another cute and fun installment in the Bug Boys stories. Their friendship and adventure is always fun to join in on.
In this next installment in the Bug Boys series, Rhino B and Stag B go on more adventures together, around Bug Village and beyond.
Another cure installment in the series with more adorable/Adventure Time like illustrations. Some of the stories got a little too philosophical/existential for young readers to pick up on. But fans of the first Bug Boys graphic novel will enjoy this one as well.
This was such a cute graphic novel! I really enjoyed all the stories that were included. I think that my favorite story was the one where they went to the library convention. The artwork was also very cute. It reminded me of a few cartoons that are out there right now. I honestly think that anyone would like this graphic novel,
This story is a little bit weird, but weird in a good way. It's not exactly like every other graphic novel you're going to find. The stories are more contemplative. Events that seem a bit random do eventually tie in to a loose larger plot. Most of the stories are Rhino-B and Stag-B exploring some small part of their world, meeting other bugs and learning how their world is structured. Those small adventures all come together when they go to the big city, learn about it's differences and opportunities. They are excited and overwhelmed. They end up choosing their home but don't dismiss city living as bad. This is a book that can be appreciated on multiple levels and has a quirky enough tone for outsiders to enjoy.
I felt like the chapters were very blah. There wasn’t much character development because of the shortness of the vignettes. There were some attempts at deeper meaning, but I felt they all fell flat. I won’t be looking for others by this author.
Another fun Bug Boy adventure! I like that it is short stories within the longer graphic novel. It makes it easier for a child reading it to not be overwhelmed with the length. The adventures are fun, and funny. I really like the art. I think this is a great read for 2nd-4th graders, and could be a fun read-aloud as well.
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I enjoyed this humorous graphic novel that kids will also love and lol at these two Big Boys' antics.
I didn't love this one as much as the first book.
Not sure why exactly as the characters and illustrations are the same.
It's a great graphic novel with color illustrations and hardback book.
I think many readers will enjoy the easy of reading and the fun insect characters.
I review this book with an advance copy from NetGalley.
